I received no updates or communication, so when I picked it up the following Monday, I assumed the work had been completed. At pickup, the staff experience was disappointing. The person who was supposed to assist me appeared to be on lunch and acted inconvenienced. After pulling up my account, he simply stated that the bike needed a head bearing and then said nothing further. There was no prior call to authorize this, and no attempt to explain the diagnosis. I told him that I would have approved the repair if they had contacted me. Instead, I was presented with a $1,000 bill for the service they claimed to have performed. What's most concerning is that no one explained what was done regarding the overheating issue--or if anything was done at all. Based on the lack of communication and the fact that the bike began overheating again on the ride home, I genuinely question whether any meaningful work was performed. It felt like the bike sat for five days with minimal effort beyond an initial diagnostic ride. I was told I could bring the bike back anytime, but given the experience, I declined and mentioned I would take it elsewhere. Later that day, I received a text from the General Manager, Bobby, stating he would speak with the technician and make things right. It has now been over a week with no follow-up. In my view, accountability starts at the top. When management doesn't follow through, it sets the tone for the entire operation. Back in 2024 I had a fellow rider tell me about Imperial. Had nothing but problems with other dealers service departments or lack of. The staff at Imperial have always gone above and beyond and kept my 2012 796 monster running like new. Everything they have recommended and serviced has been perfect. I was recently hospitalized for 12 days with a bad case of pneumonia. Unfortunately during this time, my apartment lease was also up and I had nowhere to securely store my Triumph Bobber for about a week until I was discharged and healthy enough to ride. Someone recommended I call imperial so I did, (I have never been a customer) and Dan immediately offered to store my bike despite them being completely full in storage. I just picked up my bike to find they were storing it on the main floor right by the entrance, clearly in the way of things and at their own inconvenience. It was clear they really didn't have space for it but regardless found a way to help me out, a complete stranger. They insisted I not pay a storage fee or pay them in any way and were only concerned with my wellbeing once I arrived. Great store and even greater staff. read more

He listened to all my questions and really went above and beyond. Picked up a used bike off a guy and it needed a set of tires. Searched around and found this spot which stood out to me because they will install new tires for your bike without you having to remove the wheel for them first. You can just bring the bike in and they'll do all the work. I love that. I only get so much free time and if I have a day to ride, I don't want to spend it installing my own tires instead. I dropped off the bike even though they said they could do the tires today and when I picked it up everything looked great. I also asked if they could give it a look-over and let me know about any maintenance that I should expect coming up, and they gave it a look and let me know that all was well with the bike. A good feeling to have when hopping on a used bike just after picking it up. Aside from the excellent service dept and the good prices for tires and labor, they also have a good selection of really nice bikes in their showroom. Lots of Aprilias, and some big sportbikes that could make a track fiend drool. They have a dyno in the back, and just based on what I saw seem to have the expertise to handle just about any bike related issue you might throw at them. Real pros in this place, not just a retail mill. Love it. Overall a good experience and definitely the place I'll go whenever the need for a bike shop presents itself. read more

I sure wish yelp would let me use negative stars in a review. anyway, one star is way more than they deserve. I took my brand new Honda CBR1000RR SP2 to Imperial to have them install a lot of aftermarket parts to my bike, change the oil, and install a 520 chain/sprocket kit. it took a ridiculous amount of time to get my bike done. but they did get it back together. I guess. when I picked up my bike I asked for all my stock parts. I had stressed this to service manager(John) when I dropped my bike off. that this was a very rare motorcycle. less than 500 ever made worldwide, and that I needed all the parts back. when I picked my bike up, I asked for all my stuff. John told me it had been put somewhere. and that my parts were in a box with my name on it. I laughed, because he was right. everything is always "somewhere." so months go by. no parts. I never once got a call from imperial. I had to make all the calls regarding my parts. never once did they initiate contact. I researched all my missing parts. the total cost through online Honda parts suppliers, it is just over $2000 in parts. a year goes by, with me calling about every 60 days. always the same story. that they are "still looking" for my stuff. John tells me for the first time that general manager is going to "reach out" to me. so I'm thinking finally. maybe there is hope. no, I was wrong. and continue to be wrong, as to this day, I have never once had a call from ANYONE from Imperial. and this coming fall 2024 will be 2 years of waiting to get my stuff. obviously at this point we all know I am screwed, and will never get my parts or any satisfaction from these ass clowns. so I thought I'd better try to warn people about these guys. they do sub par work(my ECU was just shoved under tank cover, not bolted in place, one radiator fan was not connected, my oil and filter had NOT been changed(I supplied 4 qts of Amsoil and a Honda filter to them when I dropped bike off). I safety wire my oil filters on. and I know how to safety. and my safety wire was still present. also, it only takes 3 qts of oil to refill crankcase after oil change. I gave them 4 qts just in case. so where is my single qt of oil? as I mentioned I understand that I'm screwed here. so trying to reach out to warn as many people that I can. keep your money. go to a reputable dealer! I'm an MSF ridercoach(for 20 years), have ridden and raced motorcycles for 40 years, and am going to share my experience with every rider I get a chance to talk to. You need a reputable, high end shop? Boulder Motorsports or Erico in Denver have always treated me right. But whatever you do, don't waste your money or time with Imperial. ride safe!! read more

I'm on a month-long motorcycle trip in Colorado and on Day 3 suffered a sheared off gear shift lever, at a scenic viewpoint 48 miles away from my friends' place. After creating a makeshift lever with the help of my friends, I went about calling around the Denver-area motorcycle dealers to see who had a lever in stock. I found a used one, but then discovered a secondary (or maybe primary?) problem: I couldn't actually shift gears. I'm a mechanical moron and didn't want to waste time screwing up a clutch bleed on my own, especially if there were other issues (e.g. bad master clutch cylinder). I arranged to pick up a U-Haul trailer, and brought the bike to the guys at Imperial. Rick, the service writer (?), was brilliantly helpful as were the techs. They bled the clutch, and adjusted my brakes, air in my tires, and "new" gear shift lever position for no extra charge. These guys are fantastic!! read more

Then they call telling me they broke my front dampening rod. gzzz Whatever things happen, ok again. I got it home park it in the garage where I always do. A week later I was going to ride it so I was going to clean the chain, I had to do it because this shop failed to do so even after asked and they said "sure no problem"...lol This is when I noticed the damage...I also have a video of the bike after I dropped it of so I know the work was preformed to the fork plus I've never had more than an oil change on my bike with 6000 miles on it. Dropped my 2012 zx-10 off at Imperial Sportbikes to have the engine rebuilt on March 15th, 2021, spoke with Mike on the phone originally and they stated it would be no problem they could do it but that it was looking like a 6-8 week turnaround and either their apprentice or the main tech (Bart) would be the one to work on it. I said no problem, loaded the bike up and headed that way to drop it off. Dropped everything off with them and that was that. Left them a line thinking that everything was being taken care and went back into the shop 2 months later to check the progress, they didn't even know what they were supposed to be doing on my bike. So I let them know, shrugged it off whatever, trying to get ahold of anyone at this shop via phone is a second job in itself. Then the email process begins around Mid/Early May, and it's a week or so before getting a response and I usually have to send the email twice. So fast forward yesterday June, 14th 2021 and I show up to the shop asking questions on why my bike hasn't even been started yet and get the "Oh we're still waiting on parts" I called 3 different Kawasaki dealers on Friday all of which had the 4 gaskets that needed to be replaced in stock and realistically only the head gaskets needed an actual gasket the rest could have been RTV'd with make a gasket but that's not even the part I'm upset about. The overall lack of communication from this shop and me being the one that has to find out everything by calling/emailing, all of this could have been avoided if they would have just communicated with me through this process. I recently brought my Ducati in for the first time for its 6,000 service and the experience exceeded my expectations. Everyone was helpful and I was given a tour of the facility and all of the service details and costs up front, which made me feel comfortable about my choice. When I rode my motorcycle home, I swear, it was like the first ride all over again! This is a 15 year old bike that is running and sounding like it's new. Bought my 2018 Aprilia Tuono RR new in May 2018, Had the shop add the race ecu and Akropovic slip on with catilytic converter delete and rear fender elliminator kit. They also helped me with initial suspension settings. Everything done in a timely professional manner at a fair price. I recently moved from Castle Rock to Grand Junction and aquired a set of forged wheels on sale from AF1Racing. Recently got a letter from Aprilia advising of a recall on front brake pads. Loaded up the bike and took it in to Imperial. They replaced the recalled pads, switched out the stock cast wheels for the forged wheel, plus a new front tire all within an hour. They even bought my stock wheels from me for a fair price! This is the best motorcycle dealer I have ever worked with and I am 70 yrs old and have had a lot of bikes and dealer experiences. My only complaint is that they don''t have a shop in Grand Junction! read more

They've done great work on my '96 Ducati 916 and get Ducati better than any place else in town. They've seen every quirk in these things, know every part, and gladly take the time to get it right for less than a Stealership. I won't take my Duc anywhere else. If you want to race or just ride, these are they guys to go to. They've serviced my '06 ZX10R and Speed triple R, so there isn't a bike they can't service. What a Great shop. I'm leaving in five days for a 4000 mile road trip across the U.S. And Canada and I hit a large pot hole and bent my front wheel on my K1200LT. They had a good used front wheel for A very reasonable price. I drove to their shop and they installed it on my bike for peanuts. I was out of there in less than 45 min.
