I would skip this place and look for something else. There wasn't anything really wrong with it, but it was also nothing special. I have been a constant guest at Vicky's and I have to say I love it. Their breakfast is some of the best I've had, leaving IHOP and all those other places in the dust. As soon as you step foot in Vicky's it's like you're stepping into your grandmother's house while she makes fresh tortillas. The tacos are immense for their price tag and can fill me up. One of my favorite dishes is Chilaquiles and they are made perfect every time. I once came for dinner after a funeral at around 9, and the food was still made fresh. Nothing was reheated or tasted like it was from the morning. Even the tortilla's were still being made fresh. I absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to get away from the cookie-cutter chain restaurants and try something fresh and new. read more

This place is great. My Mom l, wife l, 2 kids, and I got the Parrila for 2 and it was enough for us all.. Jose the waiter was very helpful. This place is awesome and worth the stop. We were in and out in about 45 minutes. Great place, Great food, and awesome staff! read more

Went to Vickies because I heard that they served cabrito en salsa. The cabrito that I tasted was fair, to much comino, but that was ok, then the last piece that was on my plate was not cabrito, it was lamb breast, so bad!! I called it to the attention of the waitress and asked for the manager, the waitress did offer to exchange for another item, but I wanted to talk to the manager. I asked the manager to remove the charge from the ticket because it wasn't all cabrito, but she refused, the owner also refused. They said it was not lamb, and the owner even asked me how I knew that it was not cabrito.. I have raised sheep and goats all my life, I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE..Its my opinion that someone made a mistake and added cheap lamb breast to expensive cabrito in order to maximize profits, or and honest mistake.. none the less the owner did not care, he said I was wrong and was not removing the item from the bill. The $12.99 is and was not the issue.. It was that they would advertise cabrito and serve you lamb as part of the plate. The owner left and did not come out of his office... It is my opinion that he got caught red handed and used a strong offense as his defense.. Needless to say.... hasta luego Alicias.... never to set foot in a place that cheats people. read more

Nothing special about this Mexican food place. Just another food place with a kitchen ran by untrained, sloppy, 'cooks'. Stale, cold chips, fake or granulated garlic in their salsa, and limes that were cut days ago arrived at my table before my food did. My food was no better. Their chicken tortilla soup did not impress me. The cook decided to serve me blood clots, chunks of chicken skin and fat, several vertebras, and a few joint cartilages from legs and thighs. I don't know if that stuff is something people in the area like to eat, but I have seen better choices of chicken cuts in cat and dog dinners. Came from Philadelphia. Food was terrible. Chicken was like rubber lowest grade of beef and meat you could possibly buy. The cheese in the enchilada wasn't even melted rice and beans was freezing cold. Not usually ones to Complain we are pretty easy to please. And it was terrible. read more

Food is decent but costumer service is lacking. My cup smelled of "old wet rag" so I asked the waitress to send the manager, (because usually wait staff will just replace cup and not fix the source of the problem), the waitress directed me to the owner who was sitting with her family in the back. I had to go to her. She smelled the cup said she didn't smell anything wrong and pretty much dismissed me and the problem. It's alright, I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

Well, this was listed as one of the best Mexican places in San Benito...ok. First of all, it's like being at a school cafeteria. The chips are nothing I've ever seen before.they use store bought tostada shells cut up. They are the thick ones so they are tough. They don't warm them, so they are cold and like I said they are like the ones ready made in the stores. Not good at all! The salsa has no flavor and tastes like dishrags. The beans were cold, but tasted ok. The food was ok, nothing to shout about. All in all, I would never eat here again. I wonder why they don't have good Mexican food here? read more

My wife and I were traveling through from Chicago. We had the crave for some Mexican food. Luckily I checked my Yelp app for some suggestions. I'm glad I did. The food and service was excellent. We're staying on the island, but I'm sure I'll be back for more durning our stay. read more
