Victor is a little rown in Idaho. We stayed in Victor for 2 nights as we were visiting the Grand Teton National Park. As we were leaving town, we notice this cute place advertising homemade soda and shakes. It was in Friday morning and have not had breakfast yet, we decided to get their Huckleberry shake and we were hooked. It was milked likely sweet and sour from the Huckleberry. No artificial flavoring. The milk was so unique. We bought one and went back to get another for the kids. After our trip back, passing by Victor, we bought another one. 3 shakes in one day. We just can't pur last chance pass as by. Very cute shop with a large selections and decent priced souvenirs of the Tetons valley and Yellowstone. We wanted some moose socks so found two cute ones and a headband that I been looking for. All very affordable. Young kids and the owner there were very nice and welcoming. If you are in Victor for any reason, make a quick stop and you would not waste your time. This is a gem that everyone should know about. We will remember this shake for a long time! read more

We were told by our local friends that we could get the BEST huckleberry milkshake at Victor Emporium, so of course Nate and I had to check it out after an early dinner in the area. Huckleberries grow wild in mountainous areas, and you can find a huckleberry flavored something at most restaurants and gift shops in Idaho and Wyoming. Since we don't have them where we live, it's always fun to enjoy them while in this area visiting. The shop itself is chock full of gifts, souvenirs, and other fun stuff to look at while your order is made. Once you get your treat, you pay for it at the counter a few steps down in the main shop area. There are a couple tables outside and a bench so you can enjoy your milkshake or sundae on site. At $10, it wasn't cheap, but the milkshake was really tasty. I'm glad we got to try it. I'm seeing now that you can also get a huckleberry Oreo shake, which I would love to try sometime. Victor Emporium is a nice little spot to browse and get dessert while in the area. read more

A great gift shop and masterful milkshakery in Victor, ID. This town has a something special in this shop which host a fun array of thoughtful and prank gifts and souvenirs and is best-know as the home of the Huckleberry Shake! We enjoyed a shake on more than one occasion during our week-long stay in Victor. This was the first time - in a long time - that I found myself thinking a shop could have cut back on their toppings/mixing a bit but was so pleased to really get a good and thorough taste of those special Huckleberries. For us, the Oreo Huckleberry shake was just right as it balanced out some of the tartness of the huckleberries a bit! Visiting this shop three times in one week is certainly a seal of approval from us! read more

We originally went for ice cream but everyone recommended the shakes so I tried their brown trout which was peanut butter, Nutella and Oreo. It was great! Shakes are a bit high at $6 each but where else can you get a huckleberry shake? They do have other flavors and regular ice cream. They make other things as well with ice cream. Cute shop has items to buy. I bought some really cute dish towels. They have about six counter seat or seating outside in front of the store. Worth a stop if in this small town. I had to try it! Apparently, the locals love this place, and yes, I agree it's to visit. You wouldn't know by the name that it has a delicious ice cream parlor in the back. Street parking easy. Really cute storefront and a couple of seats available out front. The gift shop/entrance is adorable. I purchased a few things I absolutely did not need but thought they were so cute or funny- pefect for last minute gifts to offer. Then....head to the back of the store... In the back of the store is where it happens: The Huckleberry Milkshake! The young staff working was kind and helpful. Great little store with unusual items in the front of the space, the area in the back is like a soda fountain. Place your order and cruise around while they make it for you. Milk shakes are all great but don't overlook the scoop ice cream cones. 2 scoops on a plain cone, only $2. What?! And the ice cream is great. Victory Emporium pulls the best espresso shots on either side of the Tetons. I like espresso and I've been trying to find a coffee shop that knows how to do it properly. Although they have a modest espresso machine , they did proper puck prep and the extraction was delicious with chocolatey deep notes and a sweetness without any over extracted bitter tastes. They didn't mention they were charging us an extra fee, a rather large one at that. The shakes were good but towards the end they started skimping on the huckleberry and the milkshakes got more and more pale. Would not recommend this place. Came here on Saturday as I was passing through. I had heard such great things about it from people over the years! When we arrived there were a few high school aged kids standing in the back talking. After navigating our way to the back to the soda counter, my friend and I both ordered a huckleberry Shake (which apparently they are famous for). We meandered through the very crammed store full of lots of funny and random items until our shakes were ready. When we got them, we stood their kind of clueless because we hadn't paid yet and no one had told us where to go to pay. It wasn't until we were awkwardly looking around that one girl called us over to the counter towards the front and told us we could pay there. She was the only one who actually held a conversation with us. The service was fast, but definitely could have been better. Now on to talking about the shake itself. I loved how big the straw was! But....I have definitely had WAY better huckleberry shakes before. It kind of tasted watered down almost and the huckleberry wasn't very strong (even though there were actual huckleberries mixed in with it). It honestly tasted like someone just blended up some milk, ice cubes, and a few huckleberries. It was nice and thick though. It wasn't bad, but definitely not worth the hype. If you want to go for the experience then go ahead. I however will probably not be back. read more

There is a reason that the Victor Emporiums Huckleberry Milkshakes are famous! Fantastically delicious! They also will go the extra mile in accommodating special orders. I order mine sometimes with chocolate ice cream and huckleberry ice cream instead of the standard vanilla. Then I have them add a squirt of chocolate syrup as well. I call it the double dank huckleberry milkshake. But I also want the give a special thank you to their employee Savannah. I dropped my credit card on the floor and Savannah made the extra effort to find me and contact me to inform me about my lost credit card. Worst Service Ever! My wife and I were heading back to Ashton after having a wonderful day in Teton National Park. My wife had just read that it was National Ice Cream day, and we saw this place and decided to stop. We Love old fashion ice cream sodas. We walked up to the front door and put on our masks as required. The woman at the door, who appeared to be the owner, let my wife in but told me there were too many people in the store and that I had to wait outside. I told her that we were together and pointed at my wife. She closed and locked the door. I waited on a bench in front of the store for more than five minutes and gave up. Our dog was waiting inside the cab of our truck and it was warm outside. My wife waited in line and when she went to order I was not around, so she had to leave the line and come look for me. She went back outside where I was waiting with our dog in our truck. I explained to her what happened. My wife really wanted an old fashion soda so we went back inside. This time I was allowed in. Due to this my wife had to wait in line twice to place one order. She placed our order and waited approximately 10 minutes. I received my shake, but she had to wait for her soda. She had to ask the girl behind the counter and she stated they were working on it. Almost 15 minutes and they're still working to make her old fashion soda? In the end we waited 40 minutes to get an old fashion soda and a shake and they still could not get our order right. We will never go back to this place. We will go where the employees, especially the owner, treats the customers with respect. What she did was wrong. read more
