Victor is a little rown in Idaho. We stayed in Victor for 2 nights as we were visiting the Grand Teton National Park. As we were leaving town, we notice this cute place advertising homemade soda and shakes. It was in Friday morning and have not had breakfast yet, we decided to get their Huckleberry shake and we were hooked. It was milked likely sweet and sour from the Huckleberry. No artificial flavoring. The milk was so unique. We bought one and went back to get another for the kids. After our trip back, passing by Victor, we bought another one. 3 shakes in one day. We just can't pur last chance pass as by. Very cute shop with a large selections and decent priced souvenirs of the Tetons valley and Yellowstone. We wanted some moose socks so found two cute ones and a headband that I been looking for. All very affordable. Young kids and the owner there were very nice and welcoming. We were told by our local friends that we could get the BEST huckleberry milkshake at Victor Emporium, so of course Nate and I had to check it out after an early dinner in the area. Huckleberries grow wild in mountainous areas, and you can find a huckleberry flavored something at most restaurants and gift shops in Idaho and Wyoming. Since we don't have them where we live, it's always fun to enjoy them while in this area visiting. The shop itself is chock full of gifts, souvenirs, and other fun stuff to look at while your order is made. Once you get your treat, you pay for it at the counter a few steps down in the main shop area. There are a couple tables outside and a bench so you can enjoy your milkshake or sundae on site. At $10, it wasn't cheap, but the milkshake was really tasty. I'm glad we got to try it. I'm seeing now that you can also get a huckleberry Oreo shake, which I would love to try sometime. This town has a something special in this shop which host a fun array of thoughtful and prank gifts and souvenirs and is best-know as the home of the Huckleberry Shake! We enjoyed a shake on more than one occasion during our week-long stay in Victor. This was the first time - in a long time - that I found myself thinking a shop could have cut back on their toppings/mixing a bit but was so pleased to really get a good and thorough taste of those special Huckleberries. For us, the Oreo Huckleberry shake was just right as it balanced out some of the tartness of the huckleberries a bit! Came here on Saturday as I was passing through. I had heard such great things about it from people over the years! When we arrived there were a few high school aged kids standing in the back talking. After navigating our way to the back to the soda counter, my friend and I both ordered a huckleberry Shake (which apparently they are famous for). We meandered through the very crammed store full of lots of funny and random items until our shakes were ready. When we got them, we stood their kind of clueless because we hadn't paid yet and no one had told us where to go to pay. It wasn't until we were awkwardly looking around that one girl called us over to the counter towards the front and told us we could pay there. She was the only one who actually held a conversation with us. The service was fast, but definitely could have been better. Now on to talking about the shake itself. I loved how big the straw was! But....I have definitely had WAY better huckleberry shakes before. It kind of tasted watered down almost and the huckleberry wasn't very strong (even though there were actual huckleberries mixed in with it). It honestly tasted like someone just blended up some milk, ice cubes, and a few huckleberries. It was nice and thick though. It wasn't bad, but definitely not worth the hype. If you want to go for the experience then go ahead. I however will probably not be back. read more

Victory Emporium pulls the best espresso shots on either side of the Tetons. I like espresso and I've been trying to find a coffee shop that knows how to do it properly. Although they have a modest espresso machine , they did proper puck prep and the extraction was delicious with chocolatey deep notes and a sweetness without any over extracted bitter tastes. The ice cream was delicious! The customer service was questionable and it was very obvious the employees were not wanting to serve us since it was 10 minutes before close. They were only allowing a certain number of people in the building at a time (which is understandable due to COVID) and when you did finally get in you were quickly ushered to the back where the ice cream was and not really welcomed at all. I order mine sometimes with chocolate ice cream and huckleberry ice cream instead of the standard vanilla. Then I have them add a squirt of chocolate syrup as well. I call it the double dank huckleberry milkshake. But I also want the give a special thank you to their employee Savannah. I dropped my credit card on the floor and Savannah made the extra effort to find me and contact me to inform me about my lost credit card.
