I brought in my Moncler jacket because the fur trim on the hood had torn and the stitching in the middle of the jacket had come undone. George confidently said he could fix it and charged $175. When I went to pick up the jacket, George wasn't there because it was his day off. But as soon as I saw the finished work, I was extremely disappointed. The stitching was crooked and didn't look like it was done by a professional, and contrary to what he had originally promised, he stitched through the inside of the pocket. (When I first dropped it off, he had explained that the correct method was to open the inside of the pocket so the stitches wouldn't show, even though it would be a more complex process.) As shown in the photos, the fur trim still has several areas that were not properly repaired or even touched. The parts that looked "fixed" were poorly finished and still open, and he had GLUED THE FUR. Because of that, the fur got clumped and damaged by the glue. I wanted to bring the jacket back and confront George, but it's clear that he does not have the necessary skill, and even if he tried to undo the work, the jacket fabric already has holes from the stitching. At this point, I don't trust him to handle a second repair attempt. This is a $3,500+ jacket, and I'm extremely upset and disappointed that it was damaged beyond repair. I truly hope no one else has to experience what I went through.

Emilia D. was so amazing to work with, made me feel at ease, picked up on how I was feeling about adjustments without me having to even vocalize - you can tell she's a master fitter. My dress fit like a glove after and I honestly thought wow maybe I should be getting dresses tailored more often. Highly highly recommend, a bit pricier than your avg tailor but you get what you pay for! Pro tip: don't be a procrastinator like me, book more than two weeks out so you don't pay a rush fee

It was difficult enough trying to find a tailor that does swimsuits due to a special sewing machine that is needed but I found Dejavu Tailoring right away online & booked an appointment easily on the website. The pricing is reasonable & the work was beautifully done. I needed this bathing suit for my upcoming trip to Italy & was relieved it was done so fast. Kai is friendly, professional & very skilled. I was told 2 weeks pickup and was then called an hour before I was supposed to be there that the items were not ready and to come the following day. The following day when I got there, only one of my two item was finished. Tailoring itself was fine, average for hemming and maybe okay for taking something in but nothing out of the ordinary for the very high price besides the convenience of being near midtown. The item I had was double layered and the slip layer underneath was not taken in as much so bunched up and was not re-connected to the top layer so rode up when walking. I would recommend any neighborhood local tailor over this overpriced "specialty" shop.
