Stepped inside to check out the new fall colors and see what I could walk out with. For some reason I gravitated to the sports bra section and was fascinated with the new breathable, support designs. Many colors to choose from. A young lady came over to see if I was doing ok. She was happy to announce they were having a Bra Event. She encouraged me to try on a bra to get ten dollars off my purchase. Plus, buy one, get one FREE. Guess I'll be in the dressing room. Haven't done this since high school. Things have changed and certainly have gotten more modern and tech savvy. After a very thorough measurement was taken, I realized I lost four inches. Wow. Tried on twelve different sports bras, my poor husband is sitting outside waiting. Lol. Each item that I tried on popped onto the screen and provided product details. I decided on the featherweight max it felt the best on my skin and provided the support I was seeking. Hope they didn't hear me jumping up and down. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with VS. I specifically drove to Oak Brook Mall to make a purchase, utilizing the discount coupon VS had USPS'd me early in the month. I hadn't recently used my VS credit card so I assumed this was their way of motivating me to charge some items. The coupon required that I use my VS credit card to receive the discount. The selection was good, so I chose my items and made my way to the cashier. At check out, I was told my credit card account was closed, but I could pay full price with a different card. (Remember the discount is VS charge card specifically.) I asked to speak with a manager and was told they couldn't do anything about the situation, but I could call CS and ask to open a new account. So I droven all the way to Oak Brook Mall for nothing. Please tell me: 1.) Why the bank didn't notify me the card was closing or closed? 2.) Why didn't VS tell me the card was closed BEFORE they mailed the coupon and I attempted to use the card? 3.) Why did VS send a "card only" coupon to a person with a closed account? Over the course of the next hour I spoke with 2 bank personnel and 3 VS representatives at the corporate office but all I received was "this has happened to other people" and "I don't know why". So learn from my bad experience: Make absolutely sure your VS credit card is still valid before you go to VS to use it. You may have been cancelled and don't know it, yet. read more

I was in this location on January 10, 2023 and had the worst experience. The customer service was absolutely TERRIBLE. The staff was rude, inconsiderate, and lazy. I was in line to check out for over 20 minutes. There was only 1 person working the register. When I asked the "supervisor" on the floor if she or anyone else can help check out, as there was 15 people in line, she said no. Mind you, there were NO customers on the floor - every customer was in line waiting to check out! Then, after 25 minutes of waiting in line, the "manager" came out and provided zero sympathy towards us customers. Terrible service and terrible management. Very disappointing experience. I am recently postpartum and don't know my current bra size but am in desperate need of new bras. I ran to this Victoria Secret after work, grabbed two bras to try on and asked for a fitting room. The woman who I asked told me no, I couldn't use the fitting room because they were closing in around ten minutes. (I believe it was about twelve minutes, plenty of time to try on two bras.) They should clarify their hours - like are customers allowed to shop in the store (which includes trying things on) until 8? Or do they close at 7:45? I've worked plenty of retail jobs and never closed our fitting rooms while there were still tons of people in the store during normal business hours. I ended up buying the two bras in desperation and neither of them ended up fitting. I now need to make another trip back to this store while juggling work and my baby to make a return. Out of all of the Victoria's Secret locations nearby this one has by far the SLOWEST and longest line. They do this stupid thing where they split you up into three lines when you get close to the register so that people who got in line ten minutes after you get out first. I guess I have bad luck and get behind the lady with returns or wants everything rung in separate. They seriously need to rethink this process because it angers customers and not only myself, because others on line comment on this process that is in need of immediate change. When I shop here with my mother or my husband they refuse to wait in these long lines and they lose sales. (Lines are long no matter if it is Sunday night or Tuesday morning) On the plus side I love the merchandise and I love the large selection. read more

This is a great store to visit when the weather is nice, maybe not so much when it's freezing outside. It's located almost in the middle of the outdoor mall, so you have to navigate between stores outside to get here. However, the store is clean and has has a pretty big layout inside while the associates were friendly and not overbearing. Since I went during the day on a weekday, it wasn't that busy. I had to do an online return, which took about a couple of minutes. They didn't ask for the credit card I used to make the purchase but just my ID. Super quick and easy return, I was out and about within five minutes. Overall, I'd recommend going here. read more

This location had a great selection and the staff was incredibly helpful. There was always someone around to answer a question and they made sure that I was getting my proper size and helped me locate some bras that would be suitable replacements. The sad thing is that every time I find a style I like they tend to discontinue it by the time I need new bras. It was the day before Valentine's Day and I felt they were really pushing to make a sale. At times they followed me around a little too long, gave a little too much input and didn't step back to let me do my own thing. One clerk saw me contemplating between black, white or beige and she told me V-Day was coming up and to "not be boring" and to "add some color to your life." Prepare to be dazed and confused as you roam through the various rooms dedicated to bras, negligees and PJs with suggestive comments written across the bosom. One large section is devoted to their "Pink" line, geared to middle and high school girls. Disturbing. The store is obviously not set up for 40-something moms with stretch marks, but I still managed to find one filmy little something with the requisite support and coverage. Bring all your self-esteem, though, because the dressing room area is plastered with a collage of airbrushed models cavorting in lingerie and looking far better than you ever could in these little skimpies. read more

My goddaughter loves PINK and wanted an outfit, some body sprays and lotions for her birthday. I walk into the PINK section and a guy folding pants says: Hi, Welcome to Victoria's Secret. Never once did he look up from the task he was doing. I understand with 'tweens they do make a mess and he was really focused on keeping the table looking nice. I wander through the PINK side for fifteen minutes trying to put together an outfit. No one approached me to see if I needed any help. I picked up a PINK top and bottoms and started walking into the other room. Only then did someone acknowledged me. The sales associate tells me her name. Then mentions when I am checking out, when the cashier asks me who was helping me, to make sure I tell the cashier her name. What??? Helped me? In what way? Saying: Hi, Did you find everything ok? and then walking away is NOT customer service. It would have been nice if someone asked me: What can I help you find? Let me show you some coordinating pieces. (Sadly, that did not happen.) I proceeded into the other half of Victoria's Secret. I walked to the first room and an older lady comes up to me. Very aggressively asks me if I want a bra fitting. I politely say: No, thank you. I am here shopping for a gift for my goddaughter. She then asks: Does she need a bra? I say: No. just a PINK outfit. The sales lady goes: Well, do you need a bra? Again, I politely say: I don't need a bra today. She then goes: Let's get you fitted! Seeing their must be a language barrier and her very aggressive presistant behavior was not subsiding, I gave in. I get measured. They said I was a 34D. (At Rigby & Peller and at Nordstrom's I measured at a 30F.) I mention that the 34 band is really loose and on the tightest setting and the cup is too small. Then the salesperson go: Okay, try on 32DD. I try it on 32DD. Still too loose on the tightest setting. Again, the cup was too small. I ask do you carry 30F or 30DDD size bras? The salesperson go: We don't carry that. That's not your size. I then ask: Well, if my underbust measures 27 inches how does that put me in a 34 band? The fitter looks at me blankly. Needless to say, I did not buy any bras. The nervy saleslady then reminds me when I check out to make sure I give the cashier her name for sales credit. What??? She harassed me into a bra fitting. Puts me in a bra that is NOT my size. Insults me and I didn't buy the bra! Credit for what exactly? She didn't help me with the PINK outfit. I helped MYSELF pick it out! I walk over to the Frangrance dept. Again, no one was there to help or to answer any questions. I pick out a few items. I was walking towards the register and FINALLY I was offered a shopping bag. That salesperson name drops her name to me and says to make sure I tell the cashier she helped me. What??? All she did was hand me a shopping bag. Where was she when I spent fifteen minutes alone in the frangrance area? Now I am ANNOYED, looking forward to quickly checking out. I patiently stood in one of three checkout lines. Each line had four people waiting to checkout. The cashiers were having personal conversations and laughing. Then a salesgirl walks behind the checkout counter, next to one of the cashiers and says: Ooooh! I LOVE this song! And starts to "TWERK" behind the counter!!! What is she doing?!? I look over to the other customers waiting to check out wondering if anyone else sees what I am seeing. A mom with a young child looks over at me. Together, we both were like I can't believe this is really happening?!? To add, the wait to check out was twenty one minutes. WOW!!! TWERKING instead of actually WORKING behind the register and in front of several customers. (I really thought that I was on some Candid Camera show. Is this REALLY HAPPENING?!?!) If I could give this store ZERO star rating, I would. I left feeling so annoyed and so disgusted by the whole experience. I can only hope my goddaughter quickly grows out of the PINK fad. I came in to redeem 2 cardmember rewards I had. We weren't greeted when we came in the store, and when I went over to the VS side, nobody even greeted us. Just blank, vapid, even bitchy stares. I used to work at 2 Victoria's Secret locations - Fox Valley and Yorktown, and I ALWAYS greeted each and *every* customer and tried my best to make sure they had an exceptional shopping experience. There's no excuse on a rainy, boring Monday with only a couple other customers in the store not to make more of an effort! Even the manager, a brunette in purple leggings and denim jacket with her hair pulled back walked right past my fiancé and I, spritzing the store with perfume, and excitedly asked her coworkers "So, what's the 411 guys?" I found a hoodie in Pink that I like and bought it, but I might not be back at this location for a long, long time. Well now. It has been YEARS since I've been inside one of these stores, and longer than I care to admit since I've shopped for any sort of clothing carried by them (hey, what's wrong with Target?). But I was feeling like being girly, so I stopped in to shop. I'm so glad that I did! This store is quite large and very heavily staffed. The staff here was helpful without being overwhelming, hanging out in the periph if you need assistance. There are different areas depending upon what sort of shopping experience you're looking for - a large "Pink" area where they sell yoga and lounge-wear, the typical bra and underwear selections, perfumes and cosmetics. They had hundreds of colors/styles to choose from, and lots of markdown items as well. I quite cluelessly picked a random sampling of shiny items and headed back to the fitting room to try on. This is where the magic happened. The fitting room attendant Ashley was fantastic - super gregarious, genuinely concerned about making sure you get your money's worth. She offered to find my proper size (bra) which I haven't had done since I was a teenager. And it turns out I have been totally wearing the wrong size, so thank goodness for her! She worked with me through three trips in to try on different styles, until I finally found the perfect item for me. I'm so appreciative of her help and advice! My experience at this VS is hit or miss (e.g. sometimes employees disregard me and sometimes they eagerly volunteer a cheery hello quickly followed by an offer to help). There are usually a handful of employees with bra-fitting measuring tapes draped around their necks eagerly offering to get me fitted into their newest support items. This is a very large Victoria's Secret, divided into three or four separate rooms, all heavily scented with signature perfumes. The shelves, racks, and drawers are almost always in good order. In fact, I would say that this is the cleanest Vicky's I've ever seen! During my most recent visit, I noticed a few new items (edible lotion and honey sauce) taking them beyond intimate apparel to dabble in the new world of activities. The biggest reason why this isn't a 5-star rating is because I often feel pressured to get measured for a bra followed 15 minutes later with the employee telling me that they don't carry my size in the store. Considering the expansiveness of this particular store, I would expect them to have more sizes. This is not just a singular experience, mind you. This has been going on for years: hopeful bra fitting followed by the awareness that they just wasted my time and snatched up a bit of my dignity. read more

The ladies that work the floor are always really nice and accommodating, its the women behind the counter you have to watch out for!! I had a coupon for a free bag with $75 purchase. I specifically picked out 3 items that would bring my total to $76.99 pre-tax so that I would be eligible for the free bag and the lady behind the counter STILL refused and had me spend 11 extra dollars on a pair of underwear I really didn't need... When I got my receipt I double checked my total pre-panty purchase and I was right! It was $76.99 pre-tax, she was just being a bitch! So I immediately had her return the panties. The whole time she was ringing the return she stayed silent and kept a bitchy composure. That's cool, do you lady just give me my free fucking bag when it calls for it. That was my most recent experience with coupon/offer denial due to false pretenses. Its happened quite a few times at this location. So now that I just ranted about how terrible the Yorktown location is, let me tell you how much I love this location! I had to make a stop in Apple for what I thought would be an expensive trip, but it turned out I had an extended warranty. What does that mean? More money to shop with! So immediately off to VS for some of their new copped yoga pants. Do I do yoga? Absolutely not. But I could absolutely live in these pants! Now I'm pretty short, and some of their shelves can be pretty high. Luckily while I was on my tiptoes trying to look for my size an employee immediately spotted me and came to my rescue. She pulled down a few different styles and colors for me until I could decide on one. Then, as it is her job to sell-sell-sell!, she showed me these comfy little oversized tees. Sold! Then she told me about these bralettes on the other side of the store and off I went. The girl working on that side was just as helpful. She dug through piles to help me find my size. When I told her what I was looking for next, it was back to the other side to helpful lady #1. The only part of this trip that sucked was the walking back and forth. Again, this chick was super helpful helping me look through things and not overselling me on anything. This location has a lot! And I like it! I like it a lot..... I must admit that I was in dire need of some new bras and since I had a little time to come in and try some on, super glad that I did. I haven't been bra shopping for a while now, far longer than I care to admit even though they suggest you get measured every 6 months.... The rest of their products I am in and out of the store from time to time. I was greeted promptly by Nancy as I was browsing the collection, and she offered to fit me. I was a little hesitant as one time before (at a different store obviously) they had mis-fit me and I was upset as the girl was trying to get me into a size that was too small for me. But I figured hey, what the heck, let's see what the difference in size is from a couple of years ago. Yikes. I've been wearing the wrong size all this time? Well, one will see when the bras come out and get put on. I moseyed on to the back of the fitting room where they have all the bras in the store in my size. Now, I'm not a small girl by any means, so I was really surprised at my choices. Nancy had made a couple of suggestions, but I was offered all of the bras in my size to try. I must say, Nancy must have been reading my mind or something because I really wanted some every day bras, all of which she suggested were great. I tried on a couple others, and even went as far as trying on the super push up which I would never get because, well, the girls always end up spilling out of their holders!! But I must say, with the proper fit, the bra fit me like a dream! I was surprised, more rather, shocked actually at how well the bras actually fit me, even with moving around and jumping in the fitting room. I ended up getting 4 bras, plus some coconut spray and lotion as I was running low. I am super glad that I met Nancy as she was a big help, super friendly, excellent listener, and got me into some nice bras that actually fit me like a bra should. Seriously I am not quick to give out five stars but this place truly deserves it! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left I felt like a celebrity! Dont get me wrong I do enjoy shopping at Victorias Secret no matter where it is located but this particular store was amazing. First off it was gigantic with a seperate PINK store and a seperate Beauty store and of course their selection of Bras and Panties was outrageous! What made this experience so spectacular were the staff working there. Now normally going shopping on a Saturday night means unhappy salespeople who would rather be somewhere else. But i did not get that feeling at all. Everyone was super helpful and willing to ned over backwards to help me find whatever I needed. A pampering experience at its finest! Awesome sale, friendly staff, decent location, and not too far from the parking lot. Whats NOT to like?? I originally came to Oak Brook to go to Coach. I had a gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket and was itching to buy myself some happy. After Coach I took advantage of the warm weather (Chicago speak for anything above 30 degrees) and actually did a little wandering and just then I came across the semi annual sale at VS. Now I do love VS but my budget does not so I jumped at the chance to look for some goodies for the girls. The set up is really nice and for a sale the merchandise was well kept and organized. The sales associate that helped me was friendly without being pushy and chatty without overstepping her bounds or forcing me to walk away mid sentence. We had a delightful conversation about bras that led to a talk of Coach and purses. After our little chat fest I found a few bras that were cute and I was off to the fitting room. The line there was roughly 6 people long but I was in no hurry so waiting for me was not an issue. It actually moved fairly quickly. The girl in the fitting room was very sweet as well and offered me a bra fitting, which I politely turned down. Found a bra and was done. When I left the fitting room line was a lot longer now. Probably closer to 15 people but they had also opened up another area in hopes of moving the line quicker. The line at the register was a single file line and 3 different registers. It moved fairly quickly given there were a few people ahead of me. Mostly, this VS was what I remembered all VS' to be. The staff was friendly and I got a killer deal. Now my hunt for more VS in the area is on the hit up the sales so I can stock up. read more

Who can not walk in this store and be mesmerized. I do have a few sad points only because I remember VS before the teenage PINK invasion. Don't get me wrong I love the sweatsuits and jammies but I feel VS has taken a turn and favors a younger mass. Everything is major push-up. There are not many lacy frilly things left. Amazing....just amazing! Lauren the store manager is amazing. It's been over 10 yrs since I have bought a bra from VS. They didn't carry my size since I'm a bigger girl. I was at the mall with a gf of mine and they were doing a size even were all PINK bras were $19.99. They said they carry bigger sizes and so I figured what the hell. So I go in and get size and given a few to try on. Sadly they didn't fix. So Lauren comes over and talks to me and said hold on that she is from the VS side she had a bra she thinks will work. Ok no problem. She comes back and I try on this bra.....wow.....wow..... it fit!! I was speechless ( and that doesn't happen to often) Lauren had told me they are testing out bigger sizes so see if they are going to carry them in stores. I was sold! Now I asked the price. I asked since the PINK bras were on sale of these were also.... Lauren looked at me and said she would honor the $19.99 on the VS bras and that she was the manager!!! I kid you not I hugged her and got 4 new bras that fit perfectly and she even overnighted them at no charge! Lauren thank you for working with me and getting me into a bra that fits perfectly!
