Formerly was The Oaks of Bartlett…read more The rehab center is very good and the PT OT were friendly, nice and helped my mom recover. The nurses & nurses aides were attentive and helpful. They enjoyed their patients and responded nicely to them. Family were able to ask questions and got responses. This is NOT JUST ONE family with the following. You talk with others while there: The "Social Worker " is not certified from what I was told. Rolando, is USELESS. He says he will help find a place once the patient is leaving. He DID NOT. We had to push, ask questions, meet, etc. NOTHING was really offered. He finally said he had phone numbers to give us. That piece of paper with 10 facilities on it, was USELESS. I found 2 to be possibilities but those didn't pan out. On most, there is no distinction which are rehab, asst living, nursing. WHY THEY HIRE SOMEONE in this position, I do NOT understand. Anyone can hand out a paper or cards and leave if up to the family. He DID NOT make call/connections for us. He did tell us that they have info for those WHO CAN PAY which I figure is probably their 1st or 2nd floor residents. BE CAREFUL as Rolando will have an exit date. IF it is NOT reasonable, speak up. He was going to send MOM home by AMBULANCE as she was not mobile. I asked what we do once she arrives. He then changed the date. She was able to walk with assistance when she left on a later date. So, the patient is treated well, and rehab is good. IF you have lots of money to cover for residence afterwards, it's probably OK. However, there are even NICER places if you search ALDEN, Arbor Terrace in Naperville, Sunrise, some of the Heritage Woods, Asbury Gardens, Victory Center of Bartlett. Research and find one.

Great staff. 5-star health care center. Wonderful home-like environment. Highly recommended.read more

My biggest hope was simply to find a place where he could feel safe, supported and cared for and to simply begin to enjoy his independence and dignity. At Franciscan Court, I have truly seen that happen, my uncle was very happy there. He became more engaged, happy and loved everyone in the community. The care givers and nursing staff team had gone above and beyond, and the consistency, kindness, and patience shown by the staff there have made such a meaningful difference in his day-to-day life. After a very difficult year that included several ER and doctor visits my uncle Floyd passed away in June 2026. I am deeply saddened but at the same time I am very appreciative of the great care he received along with the support and leadership of the administrative team for their compassion and willingness to work with him and myself during a challenging time. Being treated with understanding and humanity dignity and respect has meant more to me than I can easily put into words. Franciscan Court had become a place that genuinely felt like home for my uncle Floyd, and I am so thankful he had the opportunity to live there. I would highly recommend this community to families looking for a supportive and compassionate environment for their loved ones, Floyd gave it a thumbs up! Sincerely, Gary L. Stolp.

The staff (cnas) care 100% and I wish their management saw their value. They are the heart of this facility. However decisions made at the office level are short sided. Overall activities went down over the year we were there. Staff turnover was higher. Communication with staff was non existent putting it on my mother to instruct their staff what they could or couldn't do. (Putting undo stress on her.) What they put my mom and me through at the end was awful. Again not the CNAs but the office. They evicted us with one month notice. I had to come daily to get my mother up and ready for the day. The CNAs were told not to and also were not even informed of our notice.

My 92-year old mother moved into one of their assisted living studios in the fall of 2014. Up until that point, she had lived on her own, so clearly, she wasn't very enthusiastic about the move. She wasn't as engaged in some of the activities as we might have liked, but it wasn't for lack of the staff's teasing encouragement (which she enjoyed). When her health deteriorated a year or so later, she moved into the more intimate memory care wing in a studio almost identical to the one she'd had, where the staff could keep her under watchful eyes. Before long, a hospice crew became part of her care team. As prickly as my mother could be, she was loved by members of the staff. Several of her caregivers wept the day she died and for me, that said it all. Difficult as it was, we had made the right decision. One other thing worth mentioning: it's not a huge community, so if it's important for your loved one to be in a place where everyone knows everyone else, this is a good choice.

Our family has…read moreexperienced four different communities so far and Silverado is a company that does not only design communities for those with memory care needs, but focuses on overall dementia care. There are over 400 types of dementia and Silverado trains their staff in a way to recognize and support these variances instead of training their team to ONLY manage the needs of those with Alzheimer's disease. This approach takes a lot of stress away from primary care givers and family members. Dementia often comes with personality changes and behavior changes that ultimately lead to family members seeking help. We witness the staff gently redirecting our loved one, treating her with dignity, recognizing and celebrating who she was before the disease and who she is now, stimulating her mentally, and generally providing compassionate and loving care. This has a lot to do with the current administration in place and how strong the Silverado St. Charles care team is. The facility is new, beautiful, all on one floor (makes us feel good in case of emergencies), and a calm and peaceful place. Leadership is responsive and communicative with families and they did a great job of explaining their positions and thought behind COVID19 changes to processes and procedures. We as family members felt part of the solution and part of defining what the new normal is for our loved one. My family and I highly recommend Silverado St. Charles if you are looking for a safe and caring community for your loved one where they are treated with respect and dignified.
