I like that Bobby seemed more technical in his instruction and all the students were focused on learning the right techniques instead of trying to aggressively (and sloppily) wrestling each other. As an older student (I was 37 at the time), he set an environment of respect, discipline and strong core values. What I did not know then, was that BJJ would be a life changer. As a military retiree with medical challenges, Jiujitsu provided me with the physical recipe to improve my core strength and mental balance in my life. I currently live in Honolulu, Hawaii, but still train several times a week and make it a point to visit Professor Shealy when I make it back to the mainland. BJJ is for all ages and skill levels.
