Overall had a good time. Ambience is beautiful and drinks are cute and fun. I enjoyed my salmon and creamed corn. I was also happy to find they had bread pudding which is hard to come by. I have absolutely no complaints at all. As soon as you walk inside, the design and music is all definitely a vibe. Our server was very polite and we were greeted as soon as we came in. Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. I took my girlfriend out for her 26th birthday. She loves steak so I was really hoping this one was gonna be perfect and it hit the spot completely if you're looking for a nice kind of a club feeling vibe but at the same time with some class, this is definitely a spot for you. It's my birthday and my boyfriend surprised me and here we are at Vida steakhouse... I must say I was very impressed. The ambiance was top notch from the walk in service was great. Upscale dress code and ambiance definitely somewhere to celebrate your birthday highly recommended. Our server was very pleasant. We started with a signature drink the sneaky link which consist of repasado strawberry and lemonade very good starter drink tasty and well made. Followed by a side car with Remy, also good. We had the garlic shrimp and fillet egg rolls both good but the shrimp could've used more garlic you can only taste the white wine and butter sauce but still good. The filet egg rolls were tender on the in and nice crispy on the outside the sweet chili sauce on the side not needed. The boyfriend had the salmon which was really good to taste. And my lamb chops were good but could use alil more seasoning but it was still made well. Lobster Mac on point big chunks of lobster nice and creamy pasta Al dente how I like it. I visited this restaurant for a friends birthday. The ambience is nice and also very lively. The decor is beautiful but I would not say upscale. More so lounge-ish. I liked how they celebrate anyone's birthday in a "club way" if that's what you're looking for, it'll be right up your alley. They also have a decorator that you can purchase to make your table special, and they allow you to bring your own cake. For me the most important thing is the food, which was 2 out of 5. First I ordered a virgin pina colada and received coconut milk with ice. I changed and settled with a Shirley temple. I ordered the shrimp for appetizer and honestly it was the best thing. It was quite delicious but my salmon entree tasted like frozen salmon and box mash potatoes. I will say it was served hot and I could tell it was made to order but the flavor was not there. Also the cream spinach was like soup. The server was exceptionally courteous, patient, and attentive! He seemed young and overall a nice guy. He invited us back for brunch but I wouldn't risk terrible food again. I'm sorry the food just didn't make the cut but I was told by my peers the alcoholic beverages were good, I noticed a fully stocked bar so maybe visiting here for drinks, music and a vibe has a better idea. read more

Honestly disappointed. It was overpriced vs quality. The rock shrimp tempura had to get sent back because it was fishy and overcooked (rubbery). My group and I showed up on a Monday night and we were pleased to say the least. Our waiter Alex was really nice. The restaurant itself is small, but it was empty so it worked for us. I ordered the Rib eye and it was so good. Everyone at my table was pleased with their food, the lobster tail didn't have much flavor though. The drinks are pricier than your average restaurant; they were mostly $20+. I would recommend this place, but be mindful of the fees. My boyfriend and I went to VIDA on NYE we sat at the bar... That kinda is our thing... The vibe and the ambiance was great the space is a little small but it made due. The service was great the bartender was very nice and very professional... The staff was very kind and even sitting at the bar the owner came up to us and spoke with us a few times to make sure all was well...I would say service was 10/10! I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese I really enjoyed it some of the best I've had so far and my boyfriend had the wings which he enjoyed as well. We reserved for a party of 20 on May 31st for a bday get together, 1st time here for all. The initial entrance was inviting, a lil dark but nice. Nice set up, pleasant greeters. Although out entire party was not there, we were seated so as to clear the entrance way. Prefixed Menu we considered b4 making reservation but most thought the price was not good, 165$ no beverages, 215$ +3 beverages, 18% automatic gratuity, use of credit card=additional fee charged per person (50$), cash preferred. Ok as mentioned we decided not to go with the prefixed menu, which by the way seemed to be a nice set up. Since we did not opt for the prefixed menu we were given a different menu with about 5choices - fish, steak, lobster & chicken (I can't remember anything else at the time of this writing).. asparagus and potatoes offered w/each(asparagus large as a tree branch)..all other sides were 10-15$ each. Altho there were water glasses on the table, we were not offered water, actually the water you had to purchase. When asked if they could turn on the big screen tv on the wall looking at us (basketball finals), we were told that as per the mgr, they could not because he didnt want anyone to linger around, mind you we had not received our entrees yet. Our appetizers arrived, edible-but not that great. We must have waited at least 35+mins before they took out entree orders. We waited, waited some more, then they arrived. The meals were very none exciting to say the least. Every meal was very bland, not seasoned enough. Every one had the same to say about all the food ordered. After we finished, we presented our honoree with a cake, the waiters came out with said cake (that we purchased outside) singing and joyful but they would not cut the cake, no plates or utensils, basically told us that we overstayed our time (after they took long to take our entree orders) and that they had another group waiting to be seated. Oh we also had to pay for butter to go with the potatoes 4$. Miguel, our waiter, was very pleasant and attentive which was a +. But overall we will never go back there or refer anyone there. Overly expensive, food nowhere worth the price, no customer appreciation-by not turning on the tv or cutting our cake and basically kicking us out because of their poor scheduling skills. You have to pay deposit for reservation which we had to remind them (?) to remove from our bill. We all were very disappointed. They finally came over and took our order the bill was broken up in two. I had 7 people on my tabs. We ordered appetizers, sides and Entrees. Out of 7 people only 3 people got there food. I spoke to the waitress who talking to my daughter about the flies, appetizers and entrees that never made it to the table. Then a second person came and we explained all the issues again. The nasty blonde hostess came to table because for some odd reason they couldn't figure out who was the manager. Finally I got fed up because the bill was not adjusted at all. I walked up to the hostess who was talking to a man that was standing near our table the whole time. I started informing him of all the issues flies, not receiving food, bringing us appetizer we did not order. I asked him how is this issue going to be resolved and he said he ain't going to do SHIT about it. My child's father approached him and spoke. So they decided to semi adjust the bill. I went back over to the manager and was like y'all messed this bill id not acceptable and the deposits have not been applied towards the bill as promised. He said since I have your card I will charge what the hell I want. My daughter cake was destroyed. This place is a freaking disaster. It is an attractive restaurant. The waiter asked me if I would like still or sparkling water. I said tap. He said that was not available, so I purchased a bottle, and later, upon seeing the bill, they charged me $10! For me, the music was too loud. This is not the place for a romantic dinner! The lobster macaroni and cheese was delicious. When my bone-in ribeye arrived, it was cooked black and blue, not medium rare like I requested. The meat looked grayish, as the meat wasn't seared (browned, to bring out the flavor). The ribeye went back to the kitchen and they gave it a nice sear, but now the meat was overcooked. The creamed spinach was very salty. The service was okay. When I received the bill, it included an 18% gratuity that could not be changed. We chose Vida NYC to host my sister's birthday dinner, and had a reservation for a group of ten. We ran late and were allowed to move our reservation time from 8 to 9:15pm thanks to our hostess, who was kind and accommodating. She was the only staff member that was competent or respectful that night. We were seated by 9:19pm, and our waitress told us we had 90 minutes to dine, advised us to order our appetizers and entrees together, and that she would would return to take our drink orders soon. We felt rushed. 90 minutes for a party of ten is very short. Later, she took our drink orders (which included a $10 750ml bottle of water for the table) and served our drinks around 9:45pm. The water never arrived. The waitress said she would return to take our food order, but by 10:15 (30 minutes later) she hadn't returned, so we informed the hostess we still hadn't been served. Our waitress came soon after, and when we began to order, told us that they were out of salmon and chicken (almost 1/4 of the entree menu). We asked when they ran out, and she said they did before we were seated. She did not inform us of this when we were seated, and let us wait about an hour before making this known. We decided that we were ready to leave after the poor service, so we asked for our cake to be cut and served. It took them over 30 minutes to present the cake and sparklers for the birthday girl and then cut and serve it. We asked that some of the cake be served and that the rest be boxed to go. It was a large cake meant to serve 16 people. 10 Large slices were cut for us, and the server responsible told us he cut and served all of the cake. After complaining to management for a second time that night with the server present, the kitchen produced another slice of cake from the back--after telling us there was none left. We never got back the cake decorations either. After multiple complaints that night, the head manager proved he was the least professional and most disrespectful staff member. My sister spoke with him on the verge of tears. She told him her experience was horrible, and that as someone with a degree and work experience in hospitality, she knew what happened that night was unacceptable. His response was "Well, we didn't have to cut your cake." He also came to our table to tell us that he "could've just told us the deal" with the situation, but that he "tried to accommodate us." He also claimed he told the kitchen to prepare us salmon and chicken to eat, which was offered way too late.   Finally, he asked that I left the restaurant for being "disrespectful" after a full night of incompetence and disrespect from them. The restaurant requires $15 table deposit that goes toward the bill. We only ordered cocktails and 1 lemonade. The bill totaled to $151. We were charged for our drinks, $28 for the cake cutting & song, $2 for A1 sauce no one ordered, a $27 gratuity fee, taxes and a non cash fee. The A1 sauce was removed, we did not pay the $28, and the deposit covered the rest. Though we were not truly serviced, the head manager said we owed the tip "by law" because our waitress carried our drinks to us from the bar to the table. If you check their instagram comments on their first pinned post, the manager and staff antagonize anyone that has a negative comment to make about the restaurant. Made a reservation for my daughter's 19th birthday. First I will say the atmosphere is nice. So here the fuckery...... My first drink had a fly in it so I had to get another one. The appetizers were ok. The entrées were not tasty. No seasoning, i mean not even salt and pepper on the food. My son found a hair in his lobster macaroni . My brother asked for medium well and the gave him well done. Then when they gave him another one it was medium rare. I am not sure what culinary school the chefs went to but a blind person could have seasoned the food better. Then the bill came...I was charged for the complementary "birthday cake" which was 3 slices of banana pudding and 3 small churros.... I have never been to a restaurant and they charged for the complementary birthday dessert...I thought complementary meant on the house.
