Great little spot to check out. It's a nice homey place. Got off the plane and want to grab a bite? Come by here and grab a good goulash with the family or whoever you with. They definitely accommodate when you bring a large crowd. Their meals were great and tasted fresh and high quality. I love how friendly they were here. They make proper goulash here. I stopped in here the other day looking for a burger. It's a nice sized no smoking restaurant. The servers were very friendly and spoke passable English and the menu was in English as well. They have a good selection of traditional Czech food as well as burgers. They also had an interesting selection of teas and juices but I went with a beer. My burger came with lettuce, tomato, bacon and sides of fries and cole slaw. Overall it was a nice meal. read more

Recommended by locals, amazing food in understandable prices. The beef cheeks I had were almost were the most delicate meat I've ever had and the sauce was pure perfection. Tartar was a big portion and was very tasty. They also have a good beer and the service is very nice and helpful. Definitely go there if you have a chance. Delicious and reasonable prices. The people here are very nice and they accept credit cards. We tried the beef cheeks, borcht, goulash, beef stroganoff and fried zucchini. All delicious and flavorful. My hope is to keep coming every few days and eat my way through the menu. I would recommend this place for a good local meal. Standard fare on the other side of the river. It's good, it's cheap, and it is a good lunch spot away from the crowds if you find yourself in the area. Somewhat disappointed that they changed their menu, and no longer offer their delicious and satisfying Russian borscht with sour cream or potato pancakes (which we ordered every time we went back in 2015), but the place is still comfortable, the service is fast and friendly, and the ribs are delicious, so we can highly recommend those. We tried to go back for those ribs, but they were only serving a limited lunch-time menu, so check when you arrive. Prices are still very reasonable. read more

Went to eat here my last night in Prague. I was looking for a place not too far from our hotel and came across good reviews of this restaurant. Overall, I thought this was a great restaurant to go to if you're looking for a good meal without spending too much cash. My boyfriend and I both got two full meals and a beer and wine and spent about $20 euros total. The staff were friendly, spoke great English, provided efficient service and they even gave us a free tapas. I appreciated the fact that they mentioned it was free since some traditional Prague restaurants will sometimes put bread on your table and not tell you that they will charge you extra for it if you decide to eat one bite of it. I had the traditional Czech roast duck leg with potato gnocchi and red cabbage. The gnocchi was slightly salty but overall, the dish was delicious and I thought the roast duck leg tasted great. I was pretty happy with the ambience and interior of the restaurant as well. I wasn't expecting much based on pictures but I thought it looked better in person actually. read more

This is an awesome little cafe' style restaurant. The service is excellent and the prices are great! My wife and I stayed at Hotel Petr and this restaurant was only about a five minute walk away. It was nice to enjoy this quiet place in the evening after visiting the heavy traffic Old Town area. This restaurant seems to be more of a quiet spot the locals enjoy. We were all pretty happy with our meals here. Menu is available in English, but the place did not feel touristy. I follow a gluten free diet, so I was able to swap out dumplings with rice for the roast duck with cabbage. It was delicious! I also tasted the strogonof which was different than I am used to but also nice. Portions are generous. My boyfriend enjoyed the honey cake. Went for lunch and it was a bit warm inside, but not unbearably so (it was a really hot week). 4 stars because it was solid food but there wasn't anything particularly special about the place. read more

The best restaurant I went to in Prague. One of the best ones of my trip. For a little less than 20 euros, we bought full meal for two. Beer, main course and desert. The duck was superb, the potatoes were well made and the dishes looked great. The staff could speak pretty fluent English, and the service was fast and effective. I would say this place was not bad, in my opinion. I felt it was just, OK. Reminded me of a Bar & Grill back home in the States. We went to the Praha 5 location. Service was good. Everyone was very friendly and efficient. That's been a solid theme everywhere we have been here in Prague. Started with the gratin tomatoes with parmesan, grilled aubergine, pepper with herbs and pita bread. That was tasty but one thing I've learned here is that we should use caution when ordering starters/appetizers because the meals tend to be enough to top us off. For the main course I ordered the Hamburger "The hot one"- grind beef, spicy marinade with jalapenos peppers, Dijon mustard and cheddar cheese, served with French fries and coleslaw. They would only do well done burgers, which was a bummer but I gave it a go as anyway. No surprises that it wasn't juicy but I was interested to see how they do it here. My better half ordered the beef cheeks in red wine with celery puree and buttered carrots. He said it was pretty good but was steadfast on everything being average overall. read more

Very good food. I can't judge if it's expensive or cheap for the locals but as a tourist it was cheap indeed. The staff we had was really friendly and spoke English very well. The only drawback: we didn't get dessert since the kitchen closed at 10pm sharp and we tried to order at 10:09pm. Could have made us aware beforehand. read more

This place was wonderful! The food was great and very affordable. The borscht was superb - in fact, everything was superb - and the portions were generous. Service was friendly and relatively prompt. We were there with four children and four adults, and although it isn't kid-oriented it is quite kid-friendly.
