This place has gone down to rock bottom. My mom and I used to frequent this place when they were under old management/cook. This place was also my childhood pho place when I was in middle/high school until some unfortunate event happened 1 or so years ago... My sister went ahead and got their egg pancake plate like she always does at any other pho places and she ended up in the emergency room later that night due to a reaction with an "excessive" amount of MSG. According to what the doctors said. She's not allergic or nothing and yet her face and neck was swollen to where she couldn't even breathe. I would take cautions before I choose here to eat their food. And I would take extreme caution if you're a little allergic to MSG. My mom and I just stayed away completely after this event happened to my sister. read more

This is excellent Vietamese food. The spring rolls are just the way they're supposed to be, the sauces are great, there's a good balance of sweet and hot in everything. Tell the order taker what you're in the mood for and ask her make suggestions. We got to the suggestion stage after we'd already ordered and we enjoyed what we got but I want to go back for her suggestions. read more

I went to lunch here to test out another Vietnamese spot in the area. I was impressed with the flavor. If the dish I ordered is any indication of the rest of the dishes, I will certainly be back. The only reason I regretfully could not give 5 stars is that I was less than impressed by the spring rolls. They were served instantly, meaning they are premade. They also just didn't pack the same flavor as I am used to from other area restaurants. Overall, I do recommend this place. I will return to try more of what I expect to be tasty delights. read more

I have to say the food is delicious and service is great. Try their Mango smoothie and you will be hooked on them as I am. I eat there at least 1 time a week and more often if I am not too busy. I have tried several different dished from there and all just keeps getting better. Even their coffee is great, hot or Iced. Yes I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. I think this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Port Arthur. The grilled pork is wonderful, but not all entrees are equally delicious. The unfried spring rolls are great too. ordered a #38 (rice with grilled pork and eggs). The pork is marinated just right to the taste. The portion was just right to fill you up. Everything tasted so fresh. Order came with a cup of broth(pho soup). Also ordered an avocado smoothie but it was too bland. Cheap out on the avocado and jelly but too much ice. Terrible customer service. I understand that it was busy and the lady was the only person at the register ringing customers through. That being said, it is not okay to blatantly ignore a customer. I waited in line and when I got to the counter with the menu in hand and my card out ready to order take out, the lady skipped right over me, to help the customers who were behind me. MULTIPLE TIMES. Not sure if it was because they finished eating and were ready to pay and she was anxious to close out orders, but it is NOT okay to de-prioritize a person who has clearly been waiting in line and not even acknowledge them. I come here often since it's so close to my house. The owner/waitress knows what we want before we even sit down. I guess that's a good thing! Get the Shaken Beef or the Pho, always good! Excellent food, especially Pho and Bún Bò Hue, also try their appetizer with delicious egg rolls, spring rolls. Highly recommended !
