We've only eaten here for breakfast- a couple of times. Food was enjoyable. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Fresh fruit was tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were able to sit out on patio overlooking the pool both times. Super enjoyable and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was pleasant- and was much friendly the second time we ate there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean, quick service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not so busy that we could just relax and take our time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a real Christmas adventure for a night out on the enclosed screened balcony with nice heated large lanterns[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], we were served appetizers first with the servers going around to make sure you were served, there was a nice bar with friendly staff to help and assist you with whatever your favorite food or drink. Then our meal was served and it was very delicious, everything was served hot and in a very nice and quick manner.

    Crème brûlée dessert. Yum.

We stayed at the Zota resort so we ate at Viento many times. Every meal was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view is gorgeous[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and staff very friendly. Ask for Sharon when you come. She is personable, friendly and made our experience so memorable! You don't have to stay at the resort to eat at the restaurant. There's valet parking but if you don't want to do valet, just park in the parking lot to the left when you arrive. I recommend to all locals!!

If you are staying at Zota, this is your in-house dining option. Breakfast, served upstairs in the main restaurant, was excellent, good service, good food. Lunch, served either at the poolside bar or poolside patio offers plenty of suitable lunch choices. The bar serves up lots of tasty cocktails and an adequate wine selection. We ate dinners at nearby outstanding restaurants like Maison Blanche, and Bamboo Island Bar so cannot comment on dinner. Wine list is decent. Views are lovely all around at every meal.

The food is really good, but customer service is really good and the ambience is perfect because it's a sunny beautiful day. This hotel is really beautiful and has kind of everything. Lunch dinner pool hot tub, beach palm trees. Definitely a good spot to be.

We loved eating here when we stayed at the Zota Beach Resort for my birthday weekend/Memorial Day weekend. We are here almost everyday for breakfast and dinner. The service and the food were amazing. They made it work despite being understaffed. The views for Sunset are absolutely gorgeous. We only ventured out one night to a different local restaurant for dinner and regretted it. The fish and dessert at Viento were a lot better. Hope to be back one day!

Great food and drinks! Make sure to get the smoked old fashioned. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant has a bar as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Mezze Plate and Crab Cakes

Just arrived at the Zota Beach Resort on Longboat Key, FL. Needed a quick place to eat after a long day of traveling. This was a pleasant surprise. This was the spa restaurant. My wife wasnt that hungry so she ordered the Mezze plate. Portion was huge and fresh. They charged extra for the Pita. I guess it's their Gluten Free option.. I had the Tomato Parmesan Soup and the crab cakes, both were great. Tasty, fresh and just the right portions. Ok, so I got the fresh grouper dish..."Newman"! Looked spectacular, cooked perfectly....absolutely tasteless. It was such a shock? I didnt understand how they achieved that. No seasonings, no herbs, no taste, nothing reached out to grab me. What a shame. Chefs, nice job, but next time, make sure to taste the food before sending out.

Love it for breakfast and dinner. Beautiful views from the outside patio. Food is always good and fresh and service is always friendly. Will definitely be back.

My group got the chicken with guava/banana/mango, burger, coconut shrimp, and conch fritters. I thought the chicken was very very good. I really liked the flavors and the chicken was very juicy. The burger was good as well. The coconut shrimp was very coconut heavy, less so shrimp. They were good, though. The conch fritters were also pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. For desert, we got the guava mango cheesecake and the key lime pie. Both of these were amazing! The cheesecake had a great guava flavor and the key lime pie tasted so good and not artificial at all (which some restaurants definitely do.. yuck!) Overall, decently good meal! The server was very attentive and the inside had lots of seating. I made the reservation for here and it didn't seem to get too packed throughout the time we were there. The inside and outside are connected and open so it was nice for people watching.

Unfortunately, the pork chops were extremely disappointing--they came out rock-hard and completely devoid of seasoning or taste. They genuinely seemed like they were taken straight from the package and dropped into the fryer with zero prep, no marinade, no breading enhancement, nothing. The texture was so tough it was almost inedible, and there was no juiciness or pork flavor to speak of at all. The server was genuinely apologetic and handled the situation with professionalism, which I appreciated. The owner did come over, looked at the plate, said "oh wow," and then comped half the price of the dish. While the discount was a gesture, it felt more like a quick fix than a real effort to make things right--especially since the food was fundamentally flawed from the start. If you're searching for authentic, well-executed Spanish or Latin-inspired food (especially something as straightforward as fried pork chops), this place doesn't deliver. The execution here falls far short of what you'd expect from a restaurant charging for these kinds of dishes. With better attention to seasoning, proper frying technique, and perhaps a bit more care in portion prep, this could be salvageable--but right now, I'd steer clear of the pork chop entrée specifically. Other items on the menu might fare better, but on this visit, the pork chops were a clear miss.
