We hadn't had Zekos in quite some time like ten years ago bc of where it is located we don't really go. We tried it this time for lunch. It was convenient to the Convention Center and the Marriott hotel in Palmetto where we were. They have a lot of options of Mediterranean food.l - shawarma, falafels, gyros, Greek salads, shrimp, fish are some of their offerings here. We chose chicken pitas. Fries are Two dollars extra. I also ordered baba ganoosh(smokey egg plant spread which comes with pita. I'm pretty obsessed with this and have to order it wherever it's available. We ordered it, & brought it for us. They were very friendly and helpful. Our food was very tasty and did not disappoint. As we were leaving Annamarie Island out of Bradenton, we looked for some delicious food and found Zeko's. They are an amazing Mediterranean restaurant that features a Gyro and Greek salad platter that is out of this world! The salad came with fresh Romain, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, Greek, olives, feta cheese, potato salad, dolma, and amazing homemade dressing. This place is so special, the owner makes and presses his own olive oil and ships from Greece personally. Everything is homemade everything is incredibly fresh. The service is also friendly and fast, and the restaurant itself is spotless clean. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody in the area who loves delicious Greek food, and if you're leaving the beach, this is something of a treat to have after a hot sunny beach day . read more

Wanted a fast, casual but healthy meal and Zeko's fit the bill! The restaurant was clean and had tons of indoor seating. Plenty of parking, too. I ordered a Greek salad with grilled shrimp and a baklava. The salad portion was generous for a small. It came with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, cucumber, olives, pickled peppers, feta cheese and a creamy potato salad. I added grilled shrimp for protein. It was fresh, delicious and filling! The baklava was fantastic. One order came with two pieces. My group also enjoyed their entrees. Service was excellent! The staff was friendly, patient and helpful from start to finish. This is a fast food version of Greek food. Blaze is kinda outdated and a little depressing. I had a hero and surprise and a drink. They would not swap outout humus for my french fries which I thought was strange for a Greek place. It's just not worth the driving and it's not good enough to go back to. read more

Decent Mediterranean food. I got the Gyro - it was stuffed full of tasty lamb, with pretty good Tzatziki, Andy he accompanying veggies. It was fresh and the pita was soft and fresh. The food is decent. However, I feel their menu is deceiving as they won't necessarily give you the 2 sides of your choice, which is absolutely ridiculous. Bad customer service and inflexibility to make a customer paying an unjustified price for their meal what they want. So I went to Zekos today and ordered a Gyro with extra sauce and extra tomato if they would have followed the instructions I would've given them four stars however they gave me 2 half slices of tomato. I don't know about you but to me that is not extra tomato. Other than that, it was good and definitely a big sandwich. Zekos was overall a good experience-- everything was reasonably priced and the portions were great. There was a ton of meat on my gyro which was great too but I wish there was more lettuce/tomato/onion. The baklava was also tasty. I would come here again just to mix it up. I took one star away only because the owner HAS to fix the drive thru speaker. You have to yell to order, and I mean REALLY yell. Was only picking up a milkshake and a water and fries for a person I noticed was in great distress on street. I weakened and bought onion wings. The wait was a speck long and I was in a hurry. This place is good but not authentic Greek food. For me it was expensive for the amount and quality of the food. The employees looked tired on the specific day we visited. The food at Zeko's is no joke when it comes to quality for the price. While the menu just skims the surface of the Mediterranean palette, the hummus is some of the best I have had South of the Skyway. Same for the Shawerma. The kabobs are perfectly grilled and just as flavorful as any high-end restaurant. The jasmine rice is event legit, not overcooked. The super fresh, Chop Chop salad is finely chopped mixed tomatoes and cucumbers, I like to get a side of it for only $1.99. I really like the Baklava because it is loaded with pistachios. I am still trying to figure out the difference between the Express and Restaurant version of Zeko's. So far, I can really not tell the difference. There is a drive-thru window, but we did not see it yet in operation. I cannot wait until the drive-thru is an option, since I work around the corner. Since they just opened a few days ago, I won't hold anything service-wise against them. The food comes out pretty fast for dine-in service, and there is not a tipping space on the credit card receipt. The tables appear to be bussed, since there are no trays or garbage cans around to put your trash. read more

This spot has become a (at least) twice a month spot for my fiancee and I. We're always surprised when we walk in how empty it is compared to how full it should be. This is definitely one of the hidden gem's of Bradenton. My fiancee usually gets some type of chicken dish (chicken schwarma or the chicken gyro) and I get the (lamb/beef) gyro. For the price, definitely worth it, and one of the best greek places for at least a good 30+ miles. One thing I would recommend is cut the cost of getting extra Taziki sauce= little things like this do have a psychological impact, especially the type of customers you want in coming more often. read more

Good Mediterranean food We popped in tonight for takeout. Our order taker was super friendly and complimentary, and once he learned it was our first visit he got samples of a few of their sides for us to try. We had looked over the menu before we arrived and knew what we wanted, at least I knew, my wife still figuring things out. The food is made to order so this is not fast food but we were told up front it was going to take about 12 minutes for our order, and it did. In fact their line on their website is "Fresh Food, not fast food". They also have a dining room that was clean and comfortable. We liked the food. I had the Chicken Kabob with a few sides, and sampled a couple of Falafels from my wife's order. The only item we wondered about was their Baklava, which tasted buttery. Up until now the only Baklava we remember ever having was honey sweet. Not sure if this was a Zeko variation or something unintended. They do not give you the right portion size and then when you add additional sides and you're charged for the extra side they don't give it to you. If you're going to raise prices at least make sure the food is the correct portion size and the customer is actually listened to when the order is being taken read more
