If you're craving authentic Vietnamese food while in Paris, Viet 1331 is definitely worth a visit. The flavors are all there and honestly reminded me of some of the Vietnamese restaurants back in Seattle, which says a lot.
The standout dish was the beef jerky salad--easily one of the best things I've eaten in a while. It had a great balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors, with plenty of texture from the tender beef jerky and fresh herbs.
The Bún Chả Hà Nội was a solid 4/5. The grilled pork was flavorful, the dipping broth was well-seasoned, and paired with the fresh herbs and noodles, it made for a satisfying meal.
The phở also earned a 4/5. The broth had that familiar comforting taste that reminded me of the pho I've had back in the States. It may not be the absolute best pho I've ever had, but it definitely hit the spot.
On top of the food, the service was excellent. Our dishes came out incredibly fast, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal.
Overall, I'd happily come back. If you're looking for Vietnamese food in Paris that delivers familiar, authentic flavors with quick service, Viet 1331 is an easy recommendation. Just don't skip the beef jerky salad--that alone is worth the visit. read more
