I've only ever had takeout from Kowloon but it slaps every time. It's my favorite place to order from when I visit my parents in Lansdale. They're always super fast, the food is super tasty, and pricing is really reasonable. We fed 4 people with leftovers for $25 per person. But my husband had shrimp fried rice and it was surprising to see larger shrimp in there... and they were not deveined Please devein your shrimp. He also order a pizza roll and the inside was cold. Our local go to spot for Chinese-American cuisine. Sweet and sour chicken is the best I've had! General Tso's is just OK to me but the kids like it. Everything else is pretty good. No complaints. For all the people complaining about different prices, check where you're ordering from. If you're ordering from doordash or grubhub the prices are higher because the platforms charge commission as well. No one likes extra fees so just call them directly. read more

I didn't get to check Kowloon out before the fire, so i was excited to order once they reopened & was not disappointed! Kowloon has become my go-to for Chinese in the Lansdale area. The food has been consistently delicious, fresh, and less greasy than other places. Their noodle & fried rice entrees and combos come with lots of veggies & good amounts of meat/tofu. Their chicken with garlic sauce & hunan style chicken are especially enjoyable! The woman at the front is always friend & the food is always on time & packaged well for takeout. read more

After trying many Chinese places in the area, we finally found one that's clearly a step above all others. I also love Mei Ting for the same reasons, but now live too far away to frequent them any longer.... That said, Kowloon is now our GO-TO Chinese place. Much higher quality dishes than you usually get around here. Chicken dishes like the Sesame Chicken are all white meat and not over-breaded like so many other places. The King Pao is out of this world - flavor, portion size, etc - all on point. Fried rice was perfect, for lack of a better word, and the crab rangoons are simply phenomenal. It was my first visit there, and, as I was in the area, I checked them out here, on Yelp, and the reviews were On Point. 5 stars for the service and the food. I can honestly say that I enjoyed the food, and that's saying a lot, because I've both, visited, and had deliveries Frum other Chinese food establishments, and after consuming some of the other food from other places, I immediately regretted it. I never got to try this place before the fire and they closed for a few years. I'm glad that they reopened and I got to order. I got beef chow fun, chicken lo mein, hot and sour soup and wonton soup. The wontons are typical wontons that you would get at most places but the broth is so good! Very flavorful. I love their hot and sour soup. The beef chow fun was a little skimpy on the beef but overall good. My toddler daughter loves the lo mein. Can't wait to try other dishes read more

What to do when there are multiple Chinese spots in the area that all serve more or less the same Chinese American flavors? Go that extra step to stand out. First off, I've seen the sign and the location for a very long time. I back to the area recently and just assumed the place was closed and gone forever. Then one day I see a banner, streamers and the lights on. I'm always up for trying a Chinese spots I've never had in the neighborhood. I placed my order online and went to pick up the food. The wait was a bit annoying when I got there on time, but it is what it is in the current situation we're in. The food was great and everything seemed just a bit more flavorful and fresh compared to the other spots in the area. But what really stood out to me was a touch of that extra detail. The fried food containers having holes cut out to prevent the steam from making it soggy, the huge chunks of chicken that wasn't mostly breading, the wok hei flavor of all the stir fry noodles, its great to see that level of skill out here in the suburbs. Very happy for the grand reopening and hope to make this place the go to spot for my Chinese fix. read more

They just opened for about a week when I did my Lunar New Year dinner takeout so they had some hiccups. I'm sure they will sort it out in a few weeks and improve their service. In terms of food, they are better than most American Chinese food places around here. It's not too greasy. I like the garlic soy dipping sauce that comes with the fried dumplings and scallion pancake. Portions are fine. Overall, their food are better than expected (as a Chinese person reviewing them). We love this place. Take-out they remember our order without saying a word. We eat in they work with us on things not on the lunch or dinner menu. My favorite is the chicken and eggplant which they always have. My one daughter always gets the beef lo mein the other gets 8th without veggies. Then my other daughter got sweet and sour chicken. We are all very pleased. Had hot and sour soup today. I swear this soup kicks whatever ails you clear out if town. We decided on Chinese takeout last night. Kowloon reopened last year after a long absence; so we decided to give them a chance. The wonton was middle of the road. Whenever we have wonton the shredded bbq pork and scallion make or break our enjoyment. The scallions were there but no pork. I had the combination chicken hunan. It's supposed to contain CHICKEN. You could count the pieces of chicken on one hand. Another observation of Chinese resturants in our area: Chinese food is supposed to contain Chinese vegetables: bokchoy, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, peapods, mushrooms, and those mini ears of corn, etc. Bell peppers, broccoli, carrots and celery are inexpensive filler vegetables and ruin the quality of your food. I'd rather pay a couple of dollars more and enjoy a quality meal than cheep out on a poor quality look alike. One of the reason for 2 stars. The egg rolls were filled with 100% chopped cabbage. No pieces of pork, no mini-shrimp. Duck sauce and Sriracha is the only thing that made it enjoyable. Finally, the prices on the website are lower than the price you pay at the register when you pick up your order. I honestly believe it was an innocent oversight. I was in the area so I called in an order to pick up on my way home. I ordered eggplant with garlic sauce and some lo mein. The order was just ready when I got there and the person that I picked up from was courteous and friendly. The food was well prepared and the ingredients were very fresh.
