    Welcome counter!

Best Pho I've found since leaving Hawaii. The broth is layered with spices and it is served with a ton of fresh Lemongrass and green onion. Thai Basil, a lime piece, and copious amounts of bean sprouts are served on the side for you to add to your liking. I read in a review this style is described as Northern Vietnamese. Apparently it's distinguishable by wider noodles, clearer broth, more common cuts of rare beef or chicken, less sweet, and many green onions, With pho, I feel the more fresh herbs the better. You can always adjust the spice levels with the sriracha and hoisin sauce. I was the only person in the restaurant when I arrived at 2:30 on a Sunday. According to their sign, they are closed on Mondays and open 11-9 all other days, except for Sunday when it's 12-9. I suppose 2:30 is an odd time of day for lunch, but the service was very quick which I appreciated. The two women at the counter greeted me warmly and welcomed me to take a look at the menu. This felt like a mother daughter duo with their chef in the back room. I was happy to find multiple options of pho and banh mi. They also had various rice paper rolls and spring rolls. I love the vegetarian rolls with peanut sauce on a warmer day: I'll have to come back to try theirs! The vegetarian menu was nearly as long as the standard menu which gives lots to choose from. I decided to order the pho. The serving was substantial, I took it home and was able to have it for a second meal the next day. The rare filet mignon was served generously and paper thin. The broth immediately cooked it when touching the meat. They gave me a complimentary breadstick and told me it was to submerge in the broth. I'd never had this before, but it kind of reminded me of a light fried dough. It was delicious! The location is part of a newly designed shopping center. There's amble space inside to comfortably seat at least 50 people. The counter is adorned with a smiling lucky cat. Its left paw is raised welcoming you in. Next to it is a beautiful gilded plant that appears to be cultivating good blessings for the lunar new year.

Vietnamese @ Cranbury, NJ, the place is clean and modern. We ordered the food at the counter and it was brought to our table. The summer roll and the pho noodle soup was ok but noodles with lemongrass pork was really bad and not edible. I let the lady at the cashier know about this and she kindly gave me a refund.

The ambiance is really nice too due to the amazing scents and how quiet it tends to be inside. The service as well is really good too as they are very nice and able to get everything with pretty much no problems at all. The flavor of all the food was fantastic and there is nothing wrong with any of it. I would for sure go back here any day rather it be for lunch or dinner. This is a good place to check out whenever you're here in East Windsor or need to get a quick bite. For lunch or dinner, this is the place to go. No complaints or anything otherwise as it is worth checking this place out if you can.

It was 2pm when I came in. - Ambiance: It looks kinda depressing to me tbh. - Food: Okay I know I made a mistake to order another dish that's not pho or banh mi here but hear me out! Bun Thit Nuong - BBQ Pork Vermicelli is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes ever! It was also hot that day so I wasn't in any mood for a hot bowl of pho you know. + Back to the dish I had, it wasn't good. I'm not sure if they dyed the meat but it looked weirdly red, the vermicelli could be cooked a bit longer. The flavor wasn't that good. I wouldn't order any vermicelli here again. However, people in my area love this place for their pho and banh mi so I may comeback to try it again and update this review.

Inside, the decor is beautiful and polished with Vietnamese straw hats and taxi bikes. There's plenty of tables and only few customers. We were quickly greeted by two staff by the door and got seated with menus. I noticed the karaoke stand and stage, but there was no one singing at the time so they must have karaoke on certain occasions or time. We looked at the menu and it looked pretty impressive. When we were ready to order, no staff are around. Five minutes later, our waitress showed up and took our orders. For appetizers, we had the mini crepes and my entree, vermicelli special which included grilled pork and shrimps and a spring roll. The crepes were a bit undercooked and it's not as crispy as it should be. I was also a bit disappointed with my entree. The vermicelli noodles were overcooked so the noodles were broken into smaller strands. The fish sauce was pretty bland. I really wanted to like this place but sadly it was a letdown. I would rate this really 2.5 stars but our waitress was nice so feeling generous here with 3 stars. I'm not sure if we will ever come back. My husband was also disappointed with his entree. We have our fair share of Vietnamese food so we know good authentic cooks when we try a dish. I guess it was also a tale tell sign when the restaurant didn't have much customers on Valentine's Day.
