Stopped here while on a road trip. It's a great place to stop because it's close to the highway and a gas station. The food was great! Very tasty. The portions were very big and prices were reasonable. I also loved how the service was quick so there was very little wait time for the food. Visiting Bethlehem and my son was in the mood for some Pho. Found this place very close to our hotel with decent review so decided to come in. It is located in a strip mall and walking in, not a huge place with maybe about 12 ish tables. We were greeted and serviced right away. I ordered the Pho Special for $16 which is the Pho noodle soup with an assortment of beef variety while my son got the Pho Beef for $14. When they brought out the dish, I would say the portion was generous and while I wish the beef was more on the medium rare side, which is really a minor complaint. My wife got the vermicelli with pork and she enjoyed it. For appetizer, we shared order of spring rolls which came in 3. This is not the usual typical spring rolls that you would find in a Vietnamese place and tasted more so just like a Chinese spring roll. For today's visit, I will give this place a strong 3 stars, and would recommend. read more

I was visiting Allentown for my kid's school and decided to grab some Vietnamese food nearby. Since I was dining alone, I placed a to-go order for their special pho with brisket and also added summer rolls. I expected the broth wouldn't be piping hot by the time I got to my hotel (it's only a 10-minute drive), but it was colder than I thought it would be. The noodles were slightly undercooked and stuck together, making them hard to separate, especially with the lukewarm broth. There was no way to properly loosen them up. To make things worse, I opened the bag at the hotel and realized they didn't include chopsticks or even a fork. I ended up washing the plastic fork I had used the day before just to eat. Not ideal. I love pho, and I was hoping this could be a spot I'd recommend to my son, who's also a big fan. But unfortunately, I can't say I'd recommend it based on this experience. read more

We ordered the special pho and grilled pork over rice. The broth is good but they don't give a lot of rice noodles. Overall I wouldn't call the pho phenomenal, it was just alright. The grilled pork had little flavor and was kind of disappointing. For appetizers we got the chicken wings and spring rolls. The chicken wings were so flavorless I couldn't eat more than one and this made me really sad because I love chicken wings. I think they need to toss them in more sauce or something because they were not that enjoyable. The service was okay, they didn't check on us at all after serving the food. To preface, the service was good and the staff were nice. I've eaten Vietnamese food hundreds times in places like Vancouver, Amsterdam, Philly, NYC, etc, so I know what to expect. I tried the "grilled" chicken and rice platter. For starters, the combo didn't come with the traditional spring roll (chả giò) which was a huge disappointment, and the chicken was tough and chewy. You could tell it was made days prior, and there were no grill marks in sight and the meat was cold. I've had this dish countless times, and you expect freshly grilled pork or lemon grass chicken, and this was not it. It was gross. Paid $16 for old chicken, a scoop of rice, and 2 slices of cucumber, what a rip off!!! Pho broth was bland, and the other food we tried was subpar. $100 lunch for a family of 4 and it was gross. Hello! I ordered the special pho. The food was extremely fresh, the broth was lacking in flavor slightly, it needed more depth. Also I prefer the sliced meat and accoutrements being added by myself rather than them being added for me. The Thai tea bubble tea was awesome! Seemed like the meat portions were on the smaller side. That being said, the place was wonderfully clean. The server was probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. Your pho can be phenomenal but I can find better places to eat if the staff has "don't care" attitude towards a customer. Here's our experience: we are on somewhat of a schedule on a roadtrip so we call ahead to find out 1. If they are even open 2. If I can place an order ahead. We call a few different times, starting at noon all the way to 4pm when we actually arrive. Line is always busy so I assume it's off, possibly not open. Ok, first thing I see when I arrive is someone on the phone. Huh. So I mention to the staff, and they reply in a flat, dry tone, "That's weird. What can I get you." Honestly - if they showed even a bit of empathy, I probably would have let this all slide. But I got a bit worked up given I was trying this for 4 hours. I order anyway, sucking up my anger issues. They're completely empty and I had better things to do than wait for something I didn't need to in the first place so I ask if they can bring the takeout to our car to us to avoid the wait. The staff has the "are you kidding me" face imo but says with a shrug "sure." Ok, I think I should be appreciative but it's questionable at the same time. However, I will also acknowledge too I made a mistake but letting staff know that one of them should not have cilantro as my dad has the cilantro tastes like soap gene that I fortunately did not inherit. I go back inside and ask (though I'm sure we all hate each other now) and staff say it's already being packed so there's no choice but to pick it out ourself. Well, okay, I thought - here's another to this whole experience. But then the other staff pops out of the kitchen and says "for both?" So yes, after some extra more sour looks we got what we wanted. If all you care about is the food, yes it was delicious. Very good pho and seafood spring rolls as someone who isn't too well versed in Vietnamese cuisine. This is one of the best pho restaurants around. If you're looking for good Pho I would totally recommend coming here. Everything is phenomenal. The service is pretty good. I went here with my family on a recommendation since my favorite pho spot unfortunately burned down. I ordered pho with round eye and a Vietnamese iced coffee. I typically go to Pho Bowl in Bethlehem since it's much closer for me. The beef pho at these two places is almost identical. Very run of the mill, but tasty nonetheless. I wish they would both provide small dipping bowls for hoisin and sriracha, but that's just splitting hairs. The coffee left a bit to be desired in my opinion. It tasted a bit old and bitter for my liking. I ended up chugging it to get it out of the way and ordered a water for my meal. It was a little confusing upon entering. There was no one waiting to seat my family, but there were two employees behind a register. I went up to them thinking I was expected to place my order there, like some restaurants do, but they seemed annoyed and said someone will be over to wait on us. Service was a bit slow, but our server was very polite. The restaurant is in a strip mall and the inside was nothing special. It was very clean though, which is always nice. Located in a strip mall, there are plenty of spaces to park. The restaurant was clean both times I was there and the service was quick and pleasant. I paid $17 for a bowl of pho with meatballs, so it's a bit on the expensive side for a bowl of pho. I've eaten at a lot of pho restaurants all over the country and here's my breakdown: Bowl size (S,M,L): M (Only one size available) Bean sprouts, jalapeño, mint quantity: Very good Broth taste: Not clear as it's supposed to be as seen in my photo, but still tastes good Rice noodle amount: Good Price: Expensive for M size pho I know supply prices have increased but I've taken that into consideration from recently eating at other pho establishments. Unsure about prices on the other items, but the price for pho is definitely expensive here. Ordered the pork over rice, so good! Lots of meat and it was seasoned very well. Good helping of rice and veggies. Comes with a fried egg, fish sauce, fried onions and ground peanuts. Perfect place to try pho if you never had it before, choices on menu were non-Asian friendly cuts of meats. That being said, if you are more adventurous, the protein offered are not the best. Pho was good, not outstanding but a good basic beef broth. Oddly enough they had Bo Tai Chanh as an appetizer. This is rarely on menu as it's Vietnamese raw beef ceviche. Foods are quite good but portions are much smaller than I would normally get elsewhere. So far we've tried Pho, vermicelli dishes (vermicelli dishes look like a half-size), fresh spring rolls and egg rolls. But the flavors are good. Wish they could up their portion more, I'm usually 80% full when I eat here, had to order some appetizers to add to the meals. I would have given them 5 stars if the food portions are normal size. We would easily spend $40+ for lunch to be full here and that's a bit more than we'd like so we don't come here to often. read more

Okay so I have a confession: I COME HERE EVERY WEEK NOW! Pho: it's good. It's legit. it reminds me of home when I was younger and going to have pho with my parents. Pho is where I learned to use chopsticks. Pho is where I learned to try everything at least once. Finding pho in Allentown is very special to me because it's like finding a piece of home. Their banh mi is perfect. I love their dac biet and their baguette roll is so fresh. Their vegetables are fresh and crunchy like it's suppose to be. Their weekend special bo kho is UGHHH so good. I like mine with the baguette but that beef though is melt in your mouth DIVINE. Che ba mau: I haven't had this in YEARS but it's just how I remember it. Vietnamese coffee: YUP. ITS LEGIT. I've had "Vietnamese coffee" at other Asian places and okay, making Vietnamese coffee in a French press is not Vietnamese coffee.
