I went to see dr. Sheller after not seeing a dentistt for over 35 years. I previously had a bad experience at a different dentist office and gave Viewmont family dentistry a try. From the moment I entered I felt at ease. Dr. Scheller and associates clearly explained a plan of care based on my dental needs. I have had four visits now to replace fillings, and put in new fillings. Each visit has been extremely compassionate and professional. Each visit has provided more and more confidence in the team at Viewmont. I know I'm in good hands at Viewmont. I failed to mention, I am on Medicaid, and that has not made one bit of difference in the care I am receiving. I find it admirable that any physician accepts those in need. It shows they have a compassionate, human, side. I still have a way to go before I will feel better about my teeth, but I'm on my way; thanks to, Viewmont. I would highly recommend Viewmont Family Dentistry to anyone needing great oral healthcare, major work, or just a dentist who goes above and beyond. This place is booked out for weeks. I scheduled an appointment for a dental emergency as a new patient and was happy to know that someone cancelled so I was able to be seen early. Unfortunately, on the day of my appointment I slept through two alarms because I've been having to take sleeping medication to SLEEP THROUGH my pain, and was told that I could no longer reschedule with the because I was a new patient who missed their first appointment. No "rescheduling fees" nothing. No second chances. They completely dumped me before seeing me because of something that was out of my control. This shows lack of empathy, understanding and caring and I'm thankful I didn't even get the chance to let them touch my mouth. At the end of the day it was my fault for that accident, but at the same time, then not providing any additional options (like paying a reschedule fee) and just flat out dumping me when my mouth is infected is a pretty nasty business practice. read more

I started my process of getting dentures in November of 2024. What was suppose to be an every two weeks process, for 4 appointments, became a nightmare. I was rudely spoke to when I called in December to find out my next appointment. It should've been around the first of December. Here I am April 30th, 2025 trying to get my last step, the teeth. My appointment was at 9 am , I arrived at 8:50. I was the first one here. Finally after taking 4 people who came after me, I was finally called back. I was in their office for 5 minutes and left. The bad thing is I have a special needs child that I have to take with me. So after he screamed after the 4 th person, they finally called me back. They do not communicate very well!! read more

REVIEW: 2023-10-18 It is disheartening to see how this dentistry has changed over the past 8 years... from personable, patient,and considerate to a cold, impersonal, assembly-line practice... it has lost the heart and soul that once made it special. My son has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair. We arrived for our 1:45 appointment on 2023-10-16, unloaded the wheelchair and had a bit of difficulty getting his legs to stand and transfer from car to chair. We get inside to check-in and are told we were 5 minutes late and could not be seen. I found this ironic, there is no problem for us to wait 10 or 15 minutes to be called back for our scheduled appointments, but we are cancelled after 5 minutes. I began taking my kids here 8 years ago, and the experience was phenomenal. They were able overcame my kids fear of the dentist. They actually didn't dread having to go in for checkups and procedures. This practice once had heart and soul, but I fear that has been lost through the changes of time. read more

I just wanted to get an update on the status of my husband deep cleaning to get scheduled. They told me he had never been seen because there was no record. Only thing my husband is not senile and he did see a doctor that told him Medicaid would have to approve the deep cleaning. The hygienist even did a quick plaque removal so he wouldn't leave with getting nothing done. All this occurred two months ago so we were just delaying treatment. 12/2016: This man James Scheller, was rude and unprofessional to my autistic son when my son was terrified of the gas mask, as most autistic children are. His demeanor changed and he raised his voice and told us to get out of his chair because we were waisting his time. Keep in mind, we had only been there a couple of minutes and he was raising his voice at my son demanding that he put the mask on. This man likes to jerk out teeth too because during my son's first two visits he pulled teeth that were not really ready to come out yet and my son complained of the pain both times. But after he was mean to my son over the gas mask issue, I immediately canceled my other child's future appointment and we haven't been back since. read more

I wish there was a dislike button. This dental office fitted my husband for dentures and before he left the office, my husband stated they didn't feel right. The dentist checked them and stated they would definitely need to be adjusted. They said for a first adjustment of only his bottoms would be $400.We just paid $600 out of pocket with a partial payment from Medicaid for these dentures that weren't fitted correctly. Don't be decieved by all the positive reviews on Facebook. Unless you have plenty of money to throw at this dentist beware of this dentist and his office. read more

I normally don't write a review of a business unless I have been mistreated. However, every once in a while you may happen to come across a business that exceeds your expectations, or perhaps restores your faith in humanity. Over the years stemming from childhood I have neglected to take proper care of my teeth, and had rarely visited a Dentist until I was an adult. It was not until I needed to have my wisdom teeth extracted that I began to start caring for my teeth properly. Due to my negligence I've needed quite some work done to minimize any further damage to my teeth. My wife recommended her dentist that she goes to for routine cleaning, Reluctant wanting to do more research due to my predisposition that every business will take advantage of you when they can, I held off for the moment. My busy work routine monopolized a lot of my time, therefore failing to research local dentistry, so I finally decided to just try them out. They performed a routine cleaning, checked my teeth, and took an x-ray of my teeth as well, and thus my experience with Viewmont Family Dentistry was off to a start. Throughout my visits, the staff has always been extremely courteous and the dentists himself also incredible. To simply suggest that he was gentle, yet thorough, quick yet patient, all the while extremely kind would be a sad understatement, while this quality should be common in today's medical industry, I don't believe this to be the case. Viewmont Family Dentistry has set that standard for superior quality in all aspects, I can't think of a better way to praise him and his staff, or a better way to express the positive experience I've had thus far. The words I've put into my review lack the proper emphasis I desire to express my experiences with this Dentistry.
