They charge us 250.00 for every service call even though the windows are covered under warranty. Had them come to fix our doors multiple times. Granted the doors were installed buy the builder, if there is something wrong with the install then they should correct it. read more

View Point is the current contractor for Sierra Pacific Windows. We originally ordered our Sierra Pacific Windows 20 years ago, and had a fantastic experience. I ordered a replacement pane for a fogged panel from View Point in May and their customer service was horrible. I called and emailed many times throughout the process and rarely had a return response from the service department. We found out in November that the pane had been delivered to the dealer in August. Since we had not purchased the windows through View Point, they wouldn't consider installing our pane until at least December. They agreed to deliver the pane for $100 and we managed to install the replacement glass yesterday before the next winter storm. Unless you are buying new windows through View Point, do NOT deal with them. read more

I wouldn't recommend this business. We asked them to give us an estimate on installing a skylight. A pretty simple installation on our second floor. The "estimator" came out and was able to give us a vague idea about the cost. We wanted to make sure that the skylight would fit in a certain location without hitting studs/rafters but he couldn't answer that. He didn't even have a stud finder with him. He said he would have "Bill" contact us and find out for sure. "Bill" never contacted us. Apparently this company wasn't really interested in doing the job. Fortunately there are reputable companies in Boise that do value customer relationships - View Point doesn't appear to be one of them. read more

I went onto View Point's web site and requested that someone contact me. 5 hours later no one had and I was driving out their direction so I decided to stop into the store. I spoke to a sales person and he indicated that he was going elk hunting and could not come to my home for 10 days. I was 0k with this in that I understand the hunting call. He promised to contact me when he returned. It has been more than two weeks and he as not bothered to contact me. I found a competitor who will be here to my home tomorrow. My wife and I went to View Point a couple of years ago on the advice of a friend. After walking around the store for a while, a guy asked if he could help us. When we told him what we were looking for he said, pointing to a woman busy with another customer, she will have to help you. He told her we were waiting to talk with her however, she never acknowledged us and 20 minutes later, we were still waiting. We found it incredible that we were ignored and that there was only ONE person who could help us with our simple request. We finally just walked out. Today I went back and got the same kind of treatment. Ignored again! Maybe I would have gotten some attention if I'd been wearing a suit instead of blue jeans. Maybe they just don't need any more customers. In any case, I will never go back and I will do all I can to warn my friends about their total lack of customer service and common courtesy! read more
