Went to Dr. Viken Garabedian for 3 years and it was always to most painful dental experiences of my life. I finally went to an honest female dentist and found out I had advanced decay in 3 teeth that Dr. Viken Garabedian did not want to treat because he was always in such a big rush. So he would overcharge me every time and then I lost 2 of the teeth because of the advanced decay. Don't go to this doctor because he does not want to do a good job taking care of his patients teeth. My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Garabedian and his hygienist Yael for dental work going on 2 years. Like most people, my wife and I are nervous going to dentists. However, Dr. Garabedian and Yael are complete pros in checking and cleaning our teeth and importantly, show an incredible amount of warmth and empathy. They're also very quick and thorough in doing the work that they need to do. I've been so impressed with their professionalism and talent that my son will soon be having his first visit with them. While most dentists had already started their long 4th of July weekend, Dr Garabedian stayed late and was willing to take me on last minute to perform an emergency repair. I was searching for a dentist close to home and within my network so after doing my research I came up with a handful of dental offices one of which was Dr G. I decided to give them a call and immediately I liked the customer service. A Live Person Answers The Phone Every time I Call! I was suffering from a pain to a molar and he immediately diagnosed the problem. Dr. G is a very good listener and he makes you feel like he cares about your problem. It's easy to tell Dr. G is honest he discusses the main problem with you and provides other available options. Dr G replaced one of my crowns and solved the problem almost instantly. Also amazing color matching to the rest of my teeth. Dr. G does amazing work and spends time explaining everything. Okay... who isn't terrified of the dentist?!... I certainly was but, not anymore! After a car accident that I experienced in my late teens, I lost several of my back teeth. I didn't have insurance and I couldn't afford to have my teeth repaired so, instead they were removed. My experience with past dentists has never been good... I remember sitting in the chair at some drive-thru dental clinic while this 250 pound German dentist held pliers to my tooth and pulled with all of his might. I spoke with an open mouth mumbling "it hurts!!!" and his response was "no it doesn't!!!" After that lovely experience, I stayed away from the dentist for many years. I've been seeing Doctor G now for over 10 years and I couldn't be happier! He's a very sweet and kind man who truly cares for you and your teeth... conscience of how you feel and want to look and so very understanding. Elle, the hygienist is absolutely amazing... she does a great job of cleaning your teeth painlessly and you can tell that she truly loves what she does. Lina is the office staff... one sole wonder woman. When you enter the office, she greets you with a great smile making you feel like you've just entered your own living room. Lina was able to get me on an affordable dental plan so, I now have my teeth cleaned once every three months and I get my yearly exams and ex-rays. I've never been happier with my teeth. I've had an implant placed where my teeth were missing and my smile is bright as can be!... I can finally chew on both sides of my mouth!!!...Yay!!! I never dread going to the dentist like I used to... this office truly makes you feel like you're right at home! I highly recommend going to see Dr. Garabedian!!! PS... I had asked for recommendations because of the high cost estimates given to me for a procedure by a "local" dentist in an upscale area (lets leave it at that). When I visited Dr. Garabedian, I was pleased to learn that his price for the same procedure was very reasonable. Far less than the dentist in the upscale community. The results were also excellent. I originally found Dr. Garabedian through yelp and he's been my dentist for the past few years. I have complete trust in him and his staff. I've referred some of my close friends and family to his office, and they all love him, too! Every time I refer someone new to his office, he sends a thank you card!! It impresses me every time. He accepts all ppo's. A couple of years ago my insurance changed to hmo with a job change, but I love him and his office staff so much, I've continued coming here for the past two years and paying out of pocket. My company covers 100% of my dental hmo, but I'd prefer to pay my own money and see Dr. Garabedian. His work is meticulous. He also cares a lot about his patients. It's rare that a doctor will actually take time to answer phone calls and follow up so well with patients. He has a strong professional background, donates his services every year to helping third world countries, and is completely humble and kind. The office is modern, yet laid back. I have complicated dental issues all originating from having had three missing teeth. I've had to deal with a series of bridges and dental implants to address the missing teeth. Dr. G is always upfront about different dental treatments available, how much they will cost and how much my current insurance will cover. If he's even a little bit uncertain, he will refer me to a specialist for a second opinion about how to further proceed. I always appreciate his honesty and integrity. I was referred by a coworker and been seeing Dr. G for about 5 or 6 years since I moved from northern CA to Orange County. The entire staff makes me feel comfortable through my cleanings and any dental procedure. They're all super friendly and I really appreciate how efficient this small office is compared to larger corporate practices.
