The only positive I can honestly note is that the wait time was short and we were seen quickly. Unfortunately, the care we received after that was very concerning. My daughter was seen for a significant infection, and we followed the treatment plan exactly as prescribed. However, I have serious concerns that the antibiotic prescribed may not have been adequate for the severity of her condition, as her infection worsened in the following days. She ultimately had to be admitted to the hospital for several days for further treatment, where the hospital confirmed, she was given an improper dosage of antibiotics and also poor post-care instructions. As a parent, it was incredibly distressing to feel like things were not improving despite following medical instructions carefully. Communication and follow-up felt limited, and I left feeling uncertain about the level of attention given to her condition. I'm sharing this because I would strongly caution other families--especially those with children dealing with infections or urgent conditions--to seek a second opinion or consider other urgent care options. We are very much in agreement with that form of medicine (Blue Zones), which looks for cause, rather than throwing a pharmaceutical at the symptom, and looks for natural ways and supplementation to heal the body! We are quite happy so far. We've had no problem reaching the appointment desk and scheduling appointments. The Athena Health website has been great for asking and receiving timely answers to questions I've had. The onsite lab has also been extremely helpful. Only one thing that others have mentioned in their reviews is that online questionnaires were not logged and once at the appointment, we were asked to redo it, which was bothersome. Overall, the care we've received has been wonderful! Dr Lily is awesome and we hope to continue here for many years to come!

I had…read moremany issues after having to change my health insurance, as most of my preferred specialists were unable to be retained with the new insurance. Temecula Medical made several adjustments to their schedule to get me in quickly as I have cancer and other serious health concerns that require immediate and uninterrupted monitoring and care. I initially saw Tatiana and she could not have been more pleasant or patient as she listened intently to my long list of ailments. At the end of the appointment it was most impressive to see she had not missed or neglected to note even one of the many issues I'd spoken about, the ten plus referrals I needed, and a list of the medial items I need to maintain my relative health. I was listened to, all of my concerns were addressed and all referrals submitted before a day had passed. Truly above and beyond care for this extremely complicated and difficult cancer patient. I think the whole office had the best energy. I also found the waiting room spacious and relaxing with the abundant windows and light. Everyone had a smile on their faces and they let me stay well into their lunch period so I could take my time signing the many releases for information and finish what was needed. I can't imagine why they don't have five stars as I'd happily refer them to my best friends if asked. Thank you to Tatiana and the rest of the staff who welcomed me and gave me the time I needed to do what was critical for my healthcare. I look forward to continuing to work with them. Dr. Lam has gone above and beyond for me, including helping me on a weekend when I was dealing with mastitis. He and Christal are collaborative, affirming, and truly listen without rushing -- they consistently make me feel like my health matters and what I'm experiencing is real and treatable. Even on the rare occasion when something hasn't gone perfectly, the team has always taken ownership and made it right. The front desk staff and prescription coordinator are also incredibly kind and supportive. I'm very happy to have found this office.

At my first visit with Dr. Gomer, he reviewed with me my health issues and meds, and instantly made some changes to my meds without explanation until I asked for the reasons. My next visit was a big disappointment. I signed up for his weight loss program. I was to meet with Dr. Gomer and his weight loss person. She spent all the time speaking about herself and her achievements, but barely scratched the surface in describing the program or asking me what I hoped to achieve. She also informed me that Dr. Gomer had to leave for a meeting and that I would be seeing another doctor. After waiting in the room for about 10 minutes, Dr. Gomer popped in to inform me had was short on time and I needed to reschedule this appointment. I almost did not return, except my wife had also moved over from our shared prior primary and had only a very positive experience. I report all this because I am so glad I gave Dr. Gomer a second chance. Since that not-so-good visit, I have had only positive experiences. He has always been on time (an amazing feat for a doc), spent whatever time was needed with me, answered all my questions, and we developed a plan for weight loss, eliminating (not just treating symptoms, but the root cause) of my health issues, and meds. Since putting the plan in place and with monthly follow-ups, I have eliminated two meds and am close to eliminating one more, leaving only three left. I have also lost 30 pounds in the process. What I have found with Dr. Gomer is that if you want very targeted treatment to achieve your weight, health, and medication goals, you must be proactive and take responsibility for communicating what you wish to achieve and follow the treatment plan as outlined. I highly recommend Dr. Gomer. Remember, sometimes a first or early impression may be inaccurate. I suggest you take at least 3 months to decide whether Dr. Gomer is a good fit for you, and early on, clearly communicate your longer-term goals. PS: Robert is great. His bedside manner and follow-through are fantastic.
