First off, I must say this review is completely unsolicited and long past due. I personally had a wonderful experience with Dr. Middlethon (DM) and would highly recommend him to anyone serious about losing weight. I'm 5'1", 41 years old and was a good 30lbs overweight when I met DM. My BMI was also very unhealthy. I have always struggled with carrying an additional 10-15lbs on my petite/small frame and had finally hit a record weight since having my daughter 13 years ago. For the most part I had always had fairly healthy food habits (organic produce, lean proteins) with occasional splurges (wine and desserts, etc. in moderation), With my long history of weight struggles, it seemed like anything I ate would make me gain weight and I was incredibly discouraged. I had gotten to the point where I was completely miserable with my appearance which led to overall unhappiness, including potential health issues. I was willing to do ALMOST ANYTHING to get off the weight, so I started to do some research when I found DM and the Chirothin diet. What grabbed my attention about the diet was that it seemed to reset your metabolism and the program duration was fairly short (3 months) I have never really dieted ever, and I'm personally the type who would prefer to hire a professional to guide me along the way. I will say, this diet isn't for everyone as it isn't easy, however, I was completely determined, laser focused and continuously told myself that it was only temporary...only three months of my life. To me, three months of my life is a small sacrifice to be happier in my own skin. I planned for this time accordingly and warned everyone that I wasn't going to be fun for the next few months as I was determined to lose this weight. I told all of my friends and family and colleagues...I told everyone I knew I was going to lose 30lbs, so that I would hold myself more accountable...which I definitely did. I showed up to DM's office weekly for 12 weeks, as recommended. I think sharing my determination and the planning is what helped me stick to the diet 99.98% of the entire duration of the program. I ended up losing 28lbs in just over 3 months and I can honestly say I am happier than I have been since my pre-baby weight 13 years ago (my late 20's), maybe even a bit happier. Not to mention, I am MUCH healthier! As part of his services, Dr. Middlethon provided me with practical tools to enable me to live a normal life after the program, which has been a tremendous help. For the past 8 years, I have had Diabetes Type 2. I had not so healthy eating habits and I paid the price.
