Having mastered The Deuce bus route, I decided it would be my transportation de jour. Somewhere along the way, my brain was convinced that the Sahara Hotel and The Sphere were neighbors. News flash: they are not! Undeterred, I proceeded to the Sahara monorail station. There was no human to be found. Are we living in a humanless society? (sidebar) Nervously, I boarded the monorail, certain victory was within reach. As the train glided along, I watched The Sphere come into view. Score! Except for one tiny detail, the monorail sped past it without stopping. I got off at The LINQ station and was told I was very close, which probably meant "you should probably pack a suitcase." At this point, it was 20 minutes before show time. Therefore, I accepted defeat and hailed a cab for the final stretch. Nothing says "transportation expert" quite like taking a bus, a monorail, and a taxi to get to the same destination. I finally arrived at The Sphere with ten minutes to spare. Once I collected my thoughts, I realized The Sphere was across street from my hotel. What a goofball!!! The lesson learned? In Las Vegas, nothing is as close as it looks, and confidence in your navigation skills is often just the universe setting you up for laughter.

Avoid this property…read more This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We checked in around 9:00 PM after a long day of travel with two young children. The room we were assigned did not match the photos or description on the listing. The windows were completely blocked, leaving the room feeling fully enclosed. This was never disclosed before booking. I have claustrophobia, and upon entering the room I experienced a panic attack. I immediately informed the property and requested that the reservation be canceled because I could not safely stay in that room. Instead of showing empathy or offering a reasonable solution, the staff were rude and dismissive. I also contacted Booking.com while I was still at the property. Based on the guidance I received, I left the hotel and had to urgently find another place to stay late at night while traveling alone with my two young children. This caused significant stress and unexpected financial loss. My biggest concern is that this type of room is not clearly disclosed in the listing. Guests deserve accurate photos and descriptions, especially when conditions like blocked windows or enclosed rooms could have a serious impact on someone with claustrophobia or other medical conditions. I strongly urge future guests to read reviews carefully before booking this property. Transparency and guest safety should always come before misleading listings. I hope both the property and Booking.com take this seriously so that no other family has to go through what we experienced.

We actually had our wedding at the Courtyard Marriott, this specific location in July of 2019, and we were the first wedding there, which was awesome. If you're looking for this fancy, conventional wedding spot, this is not the place for you, but our wedding was a little more casual and less than 30 people, so it worked perfectly. We stayed 2 nights there, the night before our wedding, and the night of our wedding. We got a little suite and it was awesome. When you first walk in, you're met with the big "living room" with tons of natural lighting. Then you have a little kitchenette area. Then you have your king room and the bathroom with a huge counter which was great for getting ready. We also rented out their meeting room for two nights, the first night to prepare everything, and then obviously the night of the wedding. Everything went great. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially since they never hosted a wedding there, and we couldn't have been happier with how our DIY wedding turned out. The only two compromises we made were 1. We couldn't bring any outside alcohol (which wasn't a big deal) and 2. We couldn't do anything about the location of the ceremony in relation to their pool, however, the pool didn't show up in any of our pictures thanks to our photographer, and nobody was in the pool at the time of the ceremony, so it worked out perfectly!

Rather than take a taxi or Uber, we decided to take the monorail. This was a bad idea. The station is at the MGM, which was a short walk from the Luxor. No biggie we thought. However, You have to walk through all of the MGM Grand to get to the monorail station. We bought our passes on the app on the way, walking. But geez, we had to walk through the Luxor, through Excalibur, across the bridge to New York, New York, then into the Grand. All told, we walked about 3 miles including walking from the monorail stop to the Flamingo. The monorail was also loaded with a bunch of guys having a good time who had a "little too much" to drink, so it was loud and rowdy but not scary. It was convenient once we got to the station at the back of the MGM and if there was better access, it would've been our go to transportation. I can see the value on fight nights or Raiders games or any other time the strip is packed. But for a regular Friday, I would rather have paid the $20.00 for the Uber.

Let me start off by saying the manager Jeff was nothing short of incredible. The hospitality was top tier! My wife and I normally stay away from motels due to past experiences with some nasty rooms and poor service. We were a bit hesitant, but after a 7 hour drive and a visit to Hoover Dam, we needed to rest and found this lovely little city. Other motels on this strip weren't friendly and some of the staff weren't even in the office. This was our first good check mark on the list with Boulder City Inn. Jeff was in the office and super welcoming from the jump. We had asked for some recommendations on what to do around here and he gave us more than enough options on places to eat, museums, and shops near by. I had noticed throughout our time there that everyone staying there had seemed to have a liking toward Jeff and he knew everyone's name by heart, including me and my wife's. Thats the first time ive ever seen top quality service but truly just humanity on another level. Any time we would step outside we would see Jeff working on a room, or talking with guests or bringing people towels etc. I hope they are taking as good if not better care of this guy because thats someone you want working for any business.
