Even so, the owner warmly welcomed us and went out of their way to find us a place to sit. Our waiter also made us feel right at home. They do valet parking (free) and they got us in pretty quickly (we sat outside)- the patio was off kilter and a little weird but you have a view of some water. The service wasn't super great honestly and it took forever for our food to come out (we sat there for about 20 minutes without bread or salads) The food was a step higher than maybe Olive Garden.. each entree has a salad and side of pasta (not my fav) The best meal was the gnocchi and the salad. I love family owned dining and this place is why. You just enter and feel welcome. Luigi (owner) is always there to greet you and always moves around ensuring everything is done right. Where do I start!? The best Italian food located on the Clearwater Beach to St. Pete Beach strip. Truly a mom-and-pop Italian restaurant. We were greeted by a gentleman who turned out to be the owner Luigi. He went around to each table and was genuinely interested in what everyone had to say. Our server Zane was exceptional. Very knowledgeable about the specials and menu. The food was FANTASTIC. My husband had the veal parmigiana and I had pollo genovese. Both dishes were perfectly cooked. The bread was warm when it came and the olive oil with the seasonings I could have a meal on all by itself. One of my favorite spots in Indian Rocks Beach! My boyfriend and I discovered this restaurant last February and couldn't wait to come back. They're a small old school italian restaurant that's always busy! This visit we had fresh bread, insalata caprese, veal parmigiana, fettuccine alfredo, baked ziti, and gnocchi gorgonzola. Everyone loved their meals, they were all rich in flavor. The gnocchi gorgonzola is my favorite, the sauce is creamy and rich with fresh gnocchi. The service is always excellent. We started with the calamari, which was actually really good -- crispy, not chewy, and not drowning in mystery sauce. Off to a strong start. I had the rigatoni puttanesca, which was labeled "spicy" and, for once, actually lived up to the claim. It was bold, briny, and delicious -- the kind of dish that makes you feel like you're eating in a Roman back alley in the best way possible. My son devoured his spaghetti and gave it two messy thumbs up. My daughter happily inhaled the chicken parm, so clearly the kids know what's up. Then there was the baked ziti. My wife found it "just okay" -- but to be fair, she prefers her Italian food with a little more Olive Garden energy and a little less authenticity. ("Too cheesy" is apparently a thing now?) If you like real-deal Italian with a touch of spice and zero gimmicks, this place is a gem. If you like your pasta with a side of garlic bread and ranch dressing... maybe not your scene. read more

I recently visited this restaurant and had a very disappointing experience. While sitting at my table, I noticed bugs crawling around, which was already unacceptable. When I politely informed the owner about the issue, instead of addressing it professionally, they responded with a rude and dismissive attitude. Cleanliness and customer service are basic expectations, and unfortunately, this place failed at both. I would not recommend this restaurant and hope they take hygiene and customer feedback more seriously in the future. read more

I absolutely recommend this restaurant! The food was tasty, our server was courteous and really knew the menu, which helped us decide on what to order. What I really loved was the atmosphere. Villa Gallace is an absolutely amazing restaurant. We got the Gnocci Gorgonzala and calamari to start, absolutely wonderful! The Gnocci was so flavorful and the calamari was perfect. They also give fresh baked bread with oil and it is to die for! The bread is so soft and warm, fresh out of the oven. Definitely the best bread I have ever had at a restaurant!! For my main course I got the baked ziti with chicken and it was delicious! My boyfriend had the chicken Alfredo which was also spectacular, his mom got the veal parm which was also amazing, his dad got the lasagna which I may say was the best dish of them all! Our waitress was so kind and personable and we absolutely loved her! Luigi shook all of our hands and thanked us for dining in his restaurant and said "pleasure to serve you all" and was so kind. I love when the owner of a restaurant truly cares about his customers and the food they provide. I would highly recommend getting a reservation because this restaurant was so busy! As it should be. Was recommended to come here by my parents. We love good food! Coming in, the place was small but looked nice. We were greeted quickly and sat. The service here was great and friendly ! The bread that came out was good, but huge ! I did not want to eat the whole thing and spoil my appetite. I loved that they served the bread with a seasoned oil. For the appetizer we ordered the calamari. The calamari was good, seasoned well. The side house salad that came out was great! I ordered the Seafood Portobello, and I will admit, I messed up by having them change the sauce which I had thought was going to come out creamy white garlic sauce, but instead was an oil based sauce. The seafood in the pasta was great, but the pasta sauce lacked flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Veal Marsala , he had thought that veal was a dark meat and was disappointed in the dish all together. All in all, not my favorite Italian spot, but was decent to me and would probably try the same pasta with the original sauce to really see how I feel. read more

Had dinner at Villa Gallace last night. We had a table for four, and our service told us to call him Bubbles. An older gentleman, who was bald (not that it matters). He thought he was funny, but was not. He forgot to bring us our Caesar Salad because he thought we ordered appetizers, which we did not. Then he brought us regular dinner salads, which were sent back for our Caesar Salads. For dinner we waited approximately 35 minutes for the food to arrive at our table. The food was delicious, as far as flavor, however all dinners were cold. Two of us ordered bolognese, which was cold, the cheese on my veal parmigiana was not melted. The sides of pasta were cold as well. I believe "Bubbles" forgot to pick them up in a timely manner. I am a person who doesn't send food back to the kitchen, that's just me. I would give the restaurant another chance, however my server would NOT be Bubbles. In fact, other servers assisted Bubbles to clear our table. read more

Excellent service, delicious food, Cabernet was just okay...but the chicken piccata (goes by the menu name of Pollo Francese) needs one more piece of chicken or a more filling linguine side so that I don't walk away hungry. I didn't want to fill up on bread (rookie move) and I didn't eat every bite of my Caesar salad that we ordered as a starter, but I did eat most of it. I was too concerned about being too full for my main entrée. That was my mistake. I'll be honest, I was a little surprised to see a red-sauced rigatoni accompanying the Pollo Francese dish.... And I don't recall there being any side vegetable other than the capers the chicken is served with. But of course I forgot to take a picture because I was on a date and we were too wrapped up in conversation. Also, the parking here is complimentary valet which is AWESOME, especially during a very busy spring break weekend (such as this past one) but the vehicle puzzle the valet driver had to navigate was less than comforting. Watching the 7-point turn he made in my Telluride made me more than nervous, but he and the vehicle made it out unscathed! Overall, I would definitely return to Villa Galace for the lively ambiance and delicious food, especially if I lived closer or if the occasion warranted it.
