My husband stumbled across this place when I was out of town and raved about how amazing his meal was, so we went back last weekend and realized we found our new favorite Italian restaurant! Wow!! The food...the service...all were excellent. Our server gave alot of wonderful recommendations based off our preferences and really nailed it on wine and dinner choices! The fettucine is home made!!! The bread is incredible!!! Appetizers were prosciutto and calamari. Light, crunchy, and delicious! The prosciutto silky and divine! The alfredo sauce is almost as good as the alfredo my husband makes! The carbonara is a bacon-lover's dream! Dessert was chocolate truffle and lemon sorbetto. Experience was a bit mixed but overall food quality was excellent. Bruschetta was nice small starter, bread was warm and pillowy and served with garlic scented olive oil. Some of the best Italian food I've had in a long while. Aaron was our server and also a sommelier which came in handy. It's a small place. Wasn't too busy on a Sunday evening. We were seated quickly. Bread was brought. Crusty outside with soft inside. Olive oil with red paper flakes and seasonings for dipping. We had a bottle of Greco di Tufo Pinot Grigio and it was excellent. The calamari were lightly battered and very tasty. There were 4 in our party so we decided to eat family style. Aaron mentioned a few house specialties that night we had the lobster ravioli, house made fettuccini with beef filet and truffles and the chicken parmigiana. They were all amazing and all very unique but the Alfredo was my favorite by far. It was light ant heavy or thick. Reminded me of Italy. Everything excellent, again. Bruschetta is SO good; had to order it again. Red snapper entree was perfect. Sauce tasted like it included lemon juice. Loved the green beans, baby carrots and (broccolini?) served with the snapper. Added their delicious roast potato side. Lemon sorbetto is a wonderful dessert. Unique presentation. The vibes in this place are perfect for a little date night. White table cloths, candlelight's, glasses of wine, and the nicest staff around town. The most important part was the food, which was absolutely amazing! I found the best Italian restaurant and cannot wait to eat here again. Despite arriving without a reservation, we were accommodated with genuine enthusiasm and appreciation--a welcoming touch that set the tone for the entire evening. Located at the end of a small strip shopping center, this isn't one of those flashy St. Pete or South Tampa establishments where people go to see and be seen. This place is the real deal. The open kitchen allows you to hear the staff conversing in Italian and Spanish, creating an authentic atmosphere that immediately transports you. Emanuela, the owner, takes evident pride in her wine selection. Following her recommendation, we ordered a Super Tuscan that was wonderfully rich and robust. While reviewing the menu, I was particularly impressed to see amatriciana listed as a pasta option--a dish you rarely, if ever, encounter in the United States. Though I wasn't in the mood for pasta that evening, seeing it on the menu immediately elevated the restaurant's credibility. We began with bruschetta and a classic Caesar salad--both straightforward preparations. For our mains, my wife ordered the penne alla vodka while I chose the chicken piccata. I'm typically not a fan of vodka sauce, but their interpretation was exceptional--so good that I kept stealing bites from my wife's plate. My chicken piccata came with fresh vegetables, perfectly portioned and juicy chicken, and a white wine-lemon sauce that burst with flavor. Phenomenal! We concluded with tiramisu and espresso--a perfect ending to a perfect meal. This is, without question, Tampa Bay's best-kept secret for Italian cuisine. We were staying in Clearwater Beach but decided to go to the movies in Largo. Instead of going back to the beach to eat we decided to try someplace in Largo. Great decision. The service was impeccable. Super friendly staff. The homemade pasta was amazing. Best meal we had this trip. So if you are within driving distance of this restaurant make the trip. Cons: check your seating: we were seated at a 2-top crammed in between two 4-tops. Barely enough room to walk sideways. No privacy, not peaceful dining. Plus the water's butt was in our faces all the time he was waiting on the adjacent tables. A glass of wine is pricey ($18 w/ tax and tip) and not exceptional. My lasagna was bland-I've had better frozen from the supermarket. Pros: friendly staff. My wife's liked the veal prep. If she wants to go again, I'll just get the American Pizza and water. read more

We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Emmanuela, and Chef Marcelo, and they are wonderful individuals who clearly put their hearts and souls into this restaurant. The Risotto alla Pescatora was pure bliss. My wife ordered the gnocchi (not gluten-free) and said it was the best she's ever had. The wine list was fantastic, and the service matched it perfectly. We were lucky enough to sit in a spot where we could see the kitchen, and it was impressive to watch how hard everyone was working -- including Emmanuela, who was greeting patrons one moment and pulling fresh bread from the oven the next. It made us appreciate the experience and enjoy our meal together even more. The reviews were already great, but the experience completely exceeded our expectations. I ordered the mushroom chicken (the name on the menu was fancier, but that's what it was at heart) and my boyfriend had the fettuccine with filet tips. Both dishes were outstanding--the pasta tasted so fresh, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were balanced beautifully. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, with excellent recommendations that made the whole meal even better. Top notch Italian food with phenomenal service. The owners are from Rome and make you feel so welcome. You would expect food this good to be in a major city, but we are fortunate to have them right here. We have become regulars and can't get enough. They have a special that is homemade pasta with a creamy porcini mushroom sauce with filet pieces that is to die for. The meat is wonderfully tender, which was a nice surprise.
