There was only one server to answer the phone, wait on us, and take care of the other 12 or so patrons. Jennifer our server was professional, remained calm, and was courteous. We arrived around noon, it was around 2 pm we were served our food, and it was after 3 pm we received our bill. We didn't get out of there until 3:30pm.This is the second time this has happened to us when dining here. The food was great, but definitely not worth the wait! The lemon drop martini was perfectly balanced, just sweet enough without being overpowering. It tasted fresh, smooth with that classic sugared rim tying everything together. We have been going to TJ's for YEARS! Fortunately, the service has always been excellent. Unfortunately, the price of 1 glass of Diet Pepsi is $5.20. The salad has become, mostly, iceberg lettuce for$7.28. We paid by credit card .. the total bill was $87.91. If you paid by cash the bill would have been $84.53. Sad to say , these price charges for parts of our meal have made a negative impact on choosing to dine at TJ's Italian in the future. Used to be a favorite. read more

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years. We are always excited because the food and service is usually amazing! Tonight was a game changer-we will never be back. Our server, Michelle, was rude to us and had no manners when we first entered the restaurant. Michelle was upset because we had a party of 6 and we weren't paying together (we were on a girls trip). She complained and said well we don't split checks and the host should have told you that. We had made these reservations for weeks and were never informed of this when making the reservation or would have planned for it. We just stared at her because we didn't know if she was telling us we had to leave. She said it's okay this time but we don't usually make exceptions but we will be charging you 20% gratuity on each bill. We said thanks and that's okay we tip at least that anyway. You would think it would get better but only got worse! She rarely checked on us and her attitude never changed from being very confrontational. When we finally had enough, because she was not serving us with kindness or professionalism, one of the people in our party spoke to the manager. The manager was not very solution oriented. We weren't looking for really anything but a better environment and she wasn't interested in creating a better dining experience for our party. The veal was not the greatest. But, the rest of our food was delicious, but not enjoyable because we just wanted to eat as quickly as possible and leave. We will not be returning. read more

I've been to TJ's three times now, my first time last February and two times this past week. It's a nice spot about 5 minutes away from where we stay and they were just both nights we went in (Friday & Monday). It's lively and filled with all italian food smells. They bring out complimentary bread and dipping oil, delicious! The bread is warm and the dipping oil is packed with italian seasonings, both addicting. Over the course of our visits we ordered the cheese bread, eggplant rollatini, fried cheese ravioli, meat lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, veal parmesan, white cheese pizza, and pepperoni pizza. All meals were beyond delicious. The cheese bread is basically a cheese garlic bread - packed with garlic! The eggplant rollatini melts in your mouth, I almost ordered it as a dinner portion. The fried cheese ravioli in the vodka sauce really hit the spot. The pepperoni pizza was cooked perfectly, reminded me a lot of one of my favorite pies up north. Really good and solid pizza for Florida. As for the white pizza we were completely wowed. We thought it was going to have ricotta and some herbs, but still good. You can't go wrong ordering the fettuccine alfredo, meat lasagna, and veal parmesan. All amazing dishes and big portions! The service was wonderful. Everyone is attentive and friendly. The food here is always delicious and they're very accommodating for large groups! I only ever come when my family is visiting from out of town, and we typically have a group of 20+ people. We had another great dinner experience at TJs. We started with the Mozzarella Pomodoro which was a great way to start off our meal. My husband had one of the veal specials and it was one of those moments where I knew he was going to ask for more bread to soak up the delicious sauce! I had the Grouper Pedimontese which was delicious as well. Both of us truly enjoyed what we chose and our server did a great job of checking in on us and taking care of our needs. Our service was outstanding because we were lucky to have Nadaya as our server. She made sure that we had a fun evening. She was very helpful with food and drink recommendations. Be sure to get the garlic bread. Everything we ordered was delicious: Caesar salad, meatballs (the sauce is incredible), steak, pizza, chicken piccata and lobster tail. We splurged and had one of each of their deserts cheese cake, tiramisu, lemon cake & chocolate pie. The tiramisu & cheese cake were my favorites. The group is going back for the weekend brunch. First time to TJ's Italian Cafe, and we enjoyed it - beautiful outside dining, excellent service, and delicious food. Two of us shared the excellent Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms (3), which had shrimp, crab & ricotta topped with a light basil cream sauce. (This would be a nice easy lunch with a side salad) Two of us decided on the Spaghetti & Meatballs in a red sauce with the choice of two meatballs, mild Italian sausage, or meat sauce. The meatballs were 4-oz each and very tender. The red sauce was very good. My guy enjoyed Fettuccini Alfredo and a side Caesar salad with anchovies. The pasta was sauteed in a rich and smooth parmesan sauce and was perfectly executed. Lastly, our friend had Veal Piccata. As the menu indicated, the veal was tender and sauteed in a white wine lemon caper butter sauce. This entree was served with fresh mixed vegetables and mash potatoes. And yes, this was enjoyed, too. From the first time our server, Rebecca, approached our table, served our wine, salads, entrees, and the after dinner Cappuccino, she was friendly, proficient, and professional. We haven't been to this restaurant for years and we went back this week. We checked out the menu and it looked reasonably priced. We got a reservation for 8 and they easily accommodated us. We all enjoyed our service and meals. My meal was $24.00 my wife's was $22.00. Our drinks were an ice tea @ $4.25 and here's the reason we will never return there again. The Manhattan was $16.65 then because they must not think that was enough they added another $3.25 for adding ice! Making it $19.90. Totally outrageous price for 2 ounces of alcohol. Really four of those drinks would be $80.00! Never see us again. read more

They took me to this location and I'll tell ya, some fantastic Italian food!!! Being Siciliano, its well worth it and very tasty. My only comment is the sides with the entree, cabbage??? This was our fist visit to this restaurant. It will not be the last. First of all the ambience is totally relaxed and friendly. I had the veal Marsala and it was absolutely delicious. My only criticism is the mixed vegetable medley was cabbage, no mixed veggies but other than that I was a member of the clean plate club. Indian Rocks Beach. 2/6/2025. Dinner with wife and friends. The restaurant is a converted beach house. There's sitting inside and outside on a front porch. We sat inside because it was quite cool outside. The dining rooms are small with low ceilings so it gets loud. The offering of spirits and wine is limited but adequate. Our server, her third day otj, was pleasant and okay with some help. We had grouper piccatas. An interesting variation but quite good in any respect. The portion was adequate. TJ's had a nice location right on the beach! It's the perfect place for when you have an Italian craving and planning on watching the sunset afterwards. They do get pretty busy so it's best to make a reservation ahead of time. The only mistake was that when my party and I went, we were too big of a party to be seated inside, so we were given outdoor seating. The Florida Sun is no joke. I'm sure that if we were inside the experience would have been much more enjoyable. I started off with the bread, which was so warm and fluffy. The oil dip enhanced the flavor of the bread. I ordered the farfalle con pollo, which was served Al dente. It was so delicious and rich. The dish was so filling, I had to take it home. I was looking around to see what everyone else ordered. The pizza looked amazing, I wish I had an appetite to have both. I also had a bite of the tiramisu, which was absolute heaven! Our waitress seemed very busy. She was always running around and it seemed to forget a couple of things like taking our drink orders. I don't blame her though. The place was packed!
