Shout out to the Fullerton library for suggesting to come here! Long story short, I lost my passport and needed expedite renewal as I have another international travel for 2/26. The staff was very helpful and they signed me in with a buzzer to know when my turn was up as they only have 1 agent. The facility has parking in the back and it looks very clean. The tables in the middle have power plugs on the top for you to use. They have meeting rooms and quiet rooms. Overall I had a good experience.

This was the location of the polling booths for the primary election that I was assigned to. So I ventured to the new library. Parking was easy and plentiful with numerous spaces available that are covered by solar panels allowing guests to park in the shade. I was in a hurry so I didn't walk most of the library, I just walked into the room that was being used as a polling place, checked in, received my ballot, voted, and submitted the ballot into the machine, and exited the library all in about 10 minutes. I'll return in the future to explore the grounds and campus. What I saw was clean, nice, and tastefully appointed.

Of course you can have a book shipped from any OC library to one close to you but I was curious about the Tustin library, never having been there. I walked in and my first impression - it's HUGE. An enormous lobby with a large children's section to the right and a larger adult area to the left. The library was neat and well organized - I found the book within a minute. So I browsed around a bit and ended up getting a couple others too. On my way to check out my books I passed a classroom full of computers, and it appeared as though some sort of class had just adjourned. Other reviews mention it is a bit noisy here but I honestly didn't experience that on a weekday afternoon. Since I did self-checkout, I didn't interact with any of the librarians so I was unable to impress them with riveting conversation about the Dewey Decimal System.

when the irvine libraries split from the ocpl system, i ended up switching over to tustin since…read moreit's the closest location to me now. the location itself is really nice. it's in the civic center, so you've got the community center and police department right there, and there are a bunch of food and drink spots across the street if you want to grab something before or after. there's plenty of parking outside, but even then on busy days it can get full really fast. there are also bathrooms available but you need to ask the library for the code to access, as i believe it changes daily. they also have a security guard who stands by the door. inside, the library is super spacious, but it's not the quietest. i wouldn't really recommend it as a study or focus spot if that's what you're looking for since it can get pretty loud, especially with kids. there is a separate quiet room, but it seems more geared toward teens. i do wish the books were organized a little better. sometimes it feels like a maze trying to find something, especially not knowing if it'll be in teen/young adult or general fiction. i'm also not the biggest fan of how the manga is set up since it's split into two different areas and i'm not really sure why. that said, the staff has always been super friendly and helpful. i also love that they have a rotating table of themed recommendations. right now it's ren faire reads, but they've done things like blind date with a book for valentine's and other themed picks based on different time periods too. overall, it's a very nice facility with a wide selection of books, from new releases, manga, kids and teens books, etc.

Parking is a little tricky so keep an eye out for where to enter and exit only. Came here to figure out what was going on with my library card as I'm signed up for services on many apps like Kanopy, Hoopla and Mango.I forgot what my pin was and the staff here helped me out and let me know it's the last 4 digits of my phone number. They also issued me a new library card as the existing one I had was a joke! I got it in Fall of 2019 and it had a little animation of some books and the lamination was all janky. The library clerk was this older Asian woman and she upgraded my library card for me and I got to choose the one I wanted and went with one with the Civic Center in the background. The card came with a regular sized card and one for your key chain. Thanks to the Santa Ana library card, I'm able to get access to all of these free apps with books for e-loan, magazines for e-loan, films, t.v. shows similar to Netflix and a language app. (I deleted Duo Lingo and use Mango). The Santa Ana library card is the one that gets me the most access. Definitely recommend getting one. I no longer live in the city but they renewed the old one I had with my current address. I have a library card for the city of Anaheim, Fullerton and Santa Ana and Santa Ana's card is the best! Also the staff were all very helpful and kind. I ended up calling about my pin number on the new card and the guy that answered stayed with me on the phone to see if my pin would work and it did!

Came here with my best friend her son and baby girl after school to check out some new books to read together. I used to just buy books but got overwhelmed with so many that it's easier just to rent a book plus gives us a reason to read new ones together. All the employees are really friendly. My friend had to get a library card I already had one so checked out 3 books. Usually park underground the lot is always full but found handicap thank goodness near the elevators. Nice courtyard they do tree lighting near here too during Christmas time. It's a cute little area for the library. Return book time is 3 weeks which is nice. Thank you for your help in finding books and for your friendly smiles. Baby girl and I also found a puzzle on the table we were trying to do for a bit too. Love this library. Though the library isn't the biggest, the staff here are super friendly and they have unique offerings. Their Friends of the Library section is decently stocked, but what sets this location apart is they also sell cards! Many occasions - holidays, get well soon, just because - it's really cute. A few other things that makes this library unique: 1) They have free seed packets for bee-friendly flowers; 2) There's a scavenger hunt for kids - if they find everything, they can pick a small item out of a container to take home; 3) They have a play kitchen and market and a few tables where kids can do different activities; 4) Their selection of audiobooks for both kids and adults is pretty impressive. They also have a monthly calendar, some newspapers, and brochures, along with staff recommendations and board games to check out. Very cool!

It's a very small library in the OC system, half devoted to children and half to adults. Having driven by it countless times but never having a reason to stop (because until recently I've worked nextdoor to a library) I finally decided to check them out. They have an abundance of parking. Inside, there are a few computers for patron usage, one of which I used to sign up for a library card. With a library card you can check out things from the library as well as have free online access to Overdrive and Hoopla for ebooks. Staff were very friendly and helpful in answering a couple questions I had. Shelves were well-labeled for their little collection of books, audio books & DVDs (yes, they still exist). The children's section had a few play areas amidst the bookshelves and seemed very inviting for a youngster. In fact all of the patrons I saw here were moms with kids. They seem to have a lot of programs for children. For families in the area this is a wonderful library.

The good: There is a HUGE selection of medical textbooks, journals, periodicals - as one would imagine. The staff here are friendly and warm. There are multiple study nooks scattered throughout the library space - with plenty of outlets as well. The bad: Internet is almost non-existent here. I tried the guest network, then swapped to my mobile hotspot device (literally a device that acts as a mobile router/modem), and then finally, my phone's data - and had trouble staying connected for longer than a few minutes. I later confirmed with the service desk clerk that this was normal - and that internet is spotty because of the building and nearby communications equipment. Parking - is not free here. You pay a nominal fee even if you get your pass validated. I mean this is generally a space for students, staff and faculty - so those groups likely have their own parking permit anyway. It's also closed on the weekends - which is usually the case for most libraries anyway, however, one would expect it to be open somewhat considering that it's on a hospital campus. There is a side room called the Research Lounge, containing two nap pods, computers, printers, chairs and a charging station - that was open 24/7 - you need a UCIMC badge to gain access. Note: The restrooms located next to this library require key access after 6pm.

Maybe it's just my phone provider (T mobile), but I had no phone service there. Even when linked to the free public wifi, I could not even browse the internet. Cons: *NO FREE PARKING. Unless you park at the mall adjacent to the hospital, you are most likely going to park in the parking lot structure. That means paying the fee. *COMPUTERS ARE FOR STUDENTS ONLY. At least at the time when I went there, I saw a sign that says computers are for UCI students/employees only and they will need to see UCI ID to verify that. *HIDDEN LOCATION. Most people won't even know that there is a library located in the hospital. It's awesome if you like peace and quiet, but could be better promoted to increase publicity.
