It's very good food. You can walk up and order from the window... which very much reminds me of Cuba. Everything is very flavorful and their portion sizes are huge. Cafe con leche is mandatory for me in the morning, and the ladies provide great service with a smile.

Poor food quality, we went for breakfast and the ham in my scrambled eggs smelled really bad. The toast was cold and fries were previously frozen, I just eat a little and had food poisoning all the next day, not recommended at all, I'm giving 2 stars just for customer service.

Casi 18 dolares por una pechuga de pollo al plancha pero la pechuga la partieron por la mitad y me dieron esto.

We casually popped into this popular Hialeah spot, conveniently located right next door to Flanigan's, for a quick lunch. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff and promptly seated. As we looked over the menu, we spotted the $7 lunch special: a slice of pizza + a soda. Now THAT is a lunch deal you don't see every day! We placed our order and, about 10 minutes later, our pizza arrived. Fresh, hot, cheesy, and definitely giving New York-style pizza vibes. I went with the Salvatore Special, which was really good overall. My only personal preference would be the onions. The white onion was a little too raw for me. I'd much rather have red onions cooked until they're nice and tender, or skip the onions altogether. But here's the beauty of finding a new pizza spot: now I know exactly how I'm ordering it next time! Good pizza, friendly service, quick turnaround, and an unbeatable lunch special. This Hialeah pizza stop has earned itself a return visit.

Recently the quality of food has been lacking substantially. Tonight I received my pizza and it was cold and stale. Was not fresh at all, and it was not the fault of the driver. I contacted Slice app, which is where I ordered from and told them my experience. They contacted Salvatore and was told the driver picked up the order when it was ready and did nothing for us. Paying $63 for a meal that could not be eaten is extremely disappointing. They are losing long time customers for not making this right.

Everyone has garlic knots on tables that look and smell amazing. However, they're a little hard due to probably being the oven longer and using the same pizza dough. We started with a white pizza that generally was good. Ricotta was smothered then topped with mozzarella. No garlic, oregano or EVOO so it seemed little too careless what could have been stellar pie. Meatballs were huge covered in red sauce and were nicely seasoned. Pastas were a little under-seasoned, huge portions that pooled water. Could have been a drained more carefully or sauces thicker. A few more teaspoons of parsley or a bit of fresh grated Parmesan would have elevated them. Veal Parm entree on the menu was crispy but smothered with mozzarella. It was a generous portion but it would have been great to get more of the contrasted breaded texture. Mussels seemed older than necessary and had a strong aroma. Asiago Gnocchi was a huge predominantly white plate filled with probably 24-30 dumplings. Drink menu had a lot of creative cocktails. Prices were very reasonable and the place gets busy with groups and families. Service was great and quick and the old timers made you feel at home.

We even got to chat with the owner, which made the night feel extra special. He was super friendly and really made sure we were taken care of. You can tell this place is run with a lot of heart. The food was amazing. I had the chicken francese and it was chef's kiss--perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and that sauce was everything. The pasta and ravioli were also really good, fresh, and comforting. Omg The tiramisu. Hands down the BEST I've ever had. Light, creamy, perfectly balanced...we were fighting over the last bite. Overall, such a great spot for a family dinner or special occasion. Good food, great service, and just an all-around feel-good experience. Definitely coming back!

I will say they were super nice and welcoming when we went walked in. We sat indoors since it was a rainy night. The service was good but I just can't get over the presentation and preparation of the food. There were two other tables besides us and our simple order took over 30 minutes to arrive. First, they brought out my mom's chicken parm and entire ten minutes before mine. Her chicken serving was literally one lonely chicken tenderloin the size of a chicken tender basically with overcooked and dry pasta. My dish came with two tenderloins which is more reasonable but I could taste the freezer burn through the sauce with the first bite. Her Pinot Grigio which is typically a dry white wine was some sweet unknown blend that wasn't quite moscato but almost tasted like a wine cooler. They could use a menu revamp bc the items listed are very vague. I will say the chairs were comfortable which for me is a plus. The prices are alright but they just lack guidance in their presentation and ambiance. I ended up taking my food to go because by the time it arrived, my mother had already finished eating. Plus, we had already been seated for over an hour at that point. If it wasn't for the service, I'd have a completely different review because the food quality isn't where it should be. Hopefully they improve because the lakes deserves a cozy Italian restaurant.
