Charming Little Spot with Big Flavor (Mostly) After running a few errands, my daughter and I decided to fuel up at this quaint little hideaway. Mission: Lunch. The atmosphere? Cozy. The menu? Promising. I went for the Philly cheesesteak, she locked onto the pulled pork sandwich, and I snagged a croquet sandwich for my son--because I'm the MVP of the lunch squad. The Philly cheesesteak had solid flavor--savory, satisfying--but let's just say it was more "cheeseskim" than cheesesteak. Could've used a little more firepower in the portion department. My daughter gave her pulled pork a quiet nod of approval (high praise from a teenager), and my son said his sandwich was very good. I confirmed with a bite of my own--yep, croquet sandwich was a certified win. All in all, a tasty pit stop with a couple of highlights. Giving it 4 stars. I'll be back--fork in one hand, expectations in the other. TTFN!

Haven't been here for about six months. I was gonna go for a pork dish until he said oxtail. The oxtail was cooked very well. Fell off the bone. Highly recommend if you like chewing around the bone this is your thing. Service was quick and helping are extremely large. The place is clean with plenty of dining space.

Siempre una situación! Varias oportunidades!!! La 1era vez traté de comprar un desayuno y quería añadir extra bacon !! La cajera no quería hacerme la orden aun yo diciendole que me cobrará el extra!!! Y la 2nda pedí un sándwich de biftec...juzgue usted mismo!

    Cuban Sandwich, delicious mouth watering!!!

The meal here was a true experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was superb, from the first bite to the last, everything was simply extraordinary! This will certainly be for me, the first of many visits!

I ordered the Media Noche sandwich, which is normally one of my favorite Cuban sandwiches. I paid almost $17, and for that price I expected something really good. Instead, the sandwich was disappointing in both flavor and quality. I've had much better Media Noche sandwiches for a fraction of the price. Then came the café con leche--almost $7! At that price, I honestly felt like I was paying more than I would at Starbucks. For a Cuban restaurant and bakery, café con leche should be one of the things they absolutely get right, especially when charging that much. To make matters worse, the food kept repeating on me all day, which made the experience even more unpleasant. I don't mind paying higher prices when the quality, flavor, and experience justify it, but this simply didn't. Nearly $24 for a sandwich and café con leche that left me disappointed is way too much. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend Paladar Cuban Eatery & Bakery.

Located in a strip mall anchored by a Roses Discount Store, the place looked dark from the outside and the "Open" sign didn't appear to be lit but we knew they were open because of various Open yard signs in front of the establishment. Upon walking in, we were seated right away and presented the menu. They have daily specials but they didn't have pernil, although they had lechon asado like most of the Cuban/Latin American restaurants we've tried in the area. I ordered the lechon asado which came with yellow rice, fried plantains and red beans. My wife tried their Midnite Cuban sandwich. The lechon asado was flavorful (but of course no crunchy skin) and the yellow rice was good as well. My wife's sandwich, however, was a disappointment! The roast pork had an off taste and was gristly...she had to remove that meat from her sandwich. I tried her roast pork and was thinking of sending it back but my wife just removed all the meat from her sandwich. Perhaps we'll be back but definitely not ordering the Cuban sandwich again. Lunch for 2 came out to just over $30 with tip.
