On my first look at the menu, I was taken a bit aback, as it seems a bit expensive for a small town Latin restaurant in a strip mall. When I saw the portions, I took a 180. This is the second time I have visited a Colombian restaurant, with the first being in Austin. Things were only slightly different here. As I like a variety, I ordered the plate with a bit of everything (not quite, but a good sampling): Rice, beans, plantains, corn cake, beef steak, pork steak, pork belly, sausage, and an egg. The food is as good as I remember Colombian food and the portions were large enough to make 2 meals. As an added bonus, everything reheats well.

I am not sure if I am in Ocala or in Colombia! What a nice surprise I got to eat lunch here! The atmosphere and service is very friendly like family with an abundant dish. I am certainly coming back! Thank you guys, this was amazing! And I also took the home made bread home!

    Crispy fried fish! So good!

There's a level of familiarity in both the flavors and the experience that's hard to find. I usually order the bandeja paisa, and it's exactly what you'd want from a classic. Generous, flavorful, and true to tradition. It's the kind of dish that brings you back to the roots of Colombian cooking. The beef empanadas are another favorite. Crispy on the outside, packed with flavor on the inside, and consistently satisfying every time. Between the authenticity, the quality, and the consistency, La Antioqueña is a place I keep coming back to.

Our waitress was also very attentive and recommend the frozen mint drink to me, which was different than what I would normally order but refreshing. The World Cup was showing on the TV there so that was nice while we enjoyed our meals. It seems like a great place for dinner and lunch would love to try their breakfast sometime as well. And finally...the Colombian brownie with ice cream was amazing! Definitely want to try more items from the menu. The plantain was a little dry but aside from that positive first impression.

Located in a strip mall anchored by a Roses Discount Store, the place looked dark from the outside and the "Open" sign didn't appear to be lit but we knew they were open because of various Open yard signs in front of the establishment. Upon walking in, we were seated right away and presented the menu. They have daily specials but they didn't have pernil, although they had lechon asado like most of the Cuban/Latin American restaurants we've tried in the area. I ordered the lechon asado which came with yellow rice, fried plantains and red beans. My wife tried their Midnite Cuban sandwich. The lechon asado was flavorful (but of course no crunchy skin) and the yellow rice was good as well. My wife's sandwich, however, was a disappointment! The roast pork had an off taste and was gristly...she had to remove that meat from her sandwich. I tried her roast pork and was thinking of sending it back but my wife just removed all the meat from her sandwich. Perhaps we'll be back but definitely not ordering the Cuban sandwich again. Lunch for 2 came out to just over $30 with tip.

What an incredible gem in Deland!…read more Parva is a delightful restaurant, bar, and bakery right on Woodland Blvd. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout our time here. We arrived early for our reservation and grabbed seats at the bar. We were immediately greeted with a smile and extensive menus! This menu is so vast, it reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory in the best way. There is truly something for everyone here. Carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, you name it. I opted for the vegetarian "Vegetable Bowl" and my husband went for the fajitas after another guest recommended both items. The cilantro sauce and the caramelized plantains were my favorite part of the Vegetable bowl, and my husband loved every bite of his fajitas. Everything was hot, fresh, and it arrived quickly. There are a number of different dining areas here and we loved sitting in the back dining room in a comfy booth. Even though other diners were present, it felt like we had the place to ourselves because the tables are spaced far enough apart that there's plenty of personal space. No need to shout to hear your dining companions. All in all we loved Parva and look forward to coming back on our next trip to Deland.

Having a bar was something I didn't expect to see but definitely a plus for the restaurant. The bakery is small but looks like it's serving its purpose to provide customers with some variety Latin bakery goods. Our server was very attentive and he continuously checked on us while not in a disruptive fashion. Will definitely make a return visit.
