Ordered first night, they forgot my chocolate chip cookie and cheesecake.. they said they'd deliver it the next day .. by the time 9:30 rolled around still no delivery so I went ahead and ordered again, reminding them to include the desserts that were forgotten from the previous night. .. on top of my order they sent 2 cookies and 2 cheesecakes. I called to have the extra cookie and cheesecake reimbursed to my card and they denied. It's like $15.00. .. Nothing Lake Michigan Credit Union can't fix .. the cookie was big but nothing special.. haven't bothered with the cheesecake .. the meatballs grossed me out although the sauce was good .. probably has a bunch of sugar in it .. the pizza was mediocre.. not worth the headache read more

Let me start of with two things 1) been ordering from villa for while and 2) I know I made a big mistake but I'm only human Last night on 8-31-22 I ordered the wrong kind of pizza and realized I didn't ask for extra light sauce on one due to having gastropersis he who I'm not sure of name was very rude said that I'd have to pay for the new one and the mess up I ofcourse didn't wanna do that I realized I made a mistake I said but I don't wanna pay for three \mess up he put me on hold and by then my fiancé and I decided to just cancel the order I told him that and he told me "ok but you can never order from here again" and hung up ... Hands down the best pizza in Grand Rapids. And I don't say this lightly! I've lived here for more than 10 years and tried my share of pizza places in the city. I usually order delivery. The folks who have showed up at my door with the 'za have always been friendly and polite. I'm a big ratio critic, and this place gets it right. Right amount of cheese, right amount of sauce, right amount of toppings. Not too greasy. The crust doesn't get tough like a lot of other places' pizzas do. Oh and the sauce--it's perfection. We order from them every week because we live close and like to support smaller local restaurants. Their food is not the healthy choice, but is definitely the tasty choice. The only complaint I have is within the last month they changed the hot dog they were using and the new ones have too much flavor packed in where you barely taste the bacon and wrappings they surround it with. So I have to give 3 stars, unfortunately. And it's all because of the crust. The pizza was cooked to perfection, the toppings were quality, sauce was amazing.. and very non-greasy. just the crust couldn't turn me to be super high on this spot. The crust is way too doughy and chewy. Not what I am used to from a small pizzeria. I didn't see what type of oven they use, but it's always a surprise when a pizza comes out without any cornmeal on the bottom, that hadn't been cooked in a pan, a la big bobs or jets. This place is disgusting in every way. My husband put an order in online (pizza and wings) and it was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. I got there at 30 minutes on the dot and they told me they didn't have any orders in process. I showed them the confirmation email my husband had gotten and was told "oh, well maybe you shouldn't have put an order in online." Then, they checked an ipad behind the counter and said, "oh ya here it is... we'll make it quick..." I waited an additional 40 minutes while they made my food. When they finally told me it was ready I asked if there was anything they could do for me since I had to wait so long. The manager told me that it really wasn't his problem that they didn't get the online order. He lectured me on how it's more appropriate to call to put in an order and actually speak to someone than to put in an order online. He refused to give me a discount or anything for my troubles. To top it off, when I got home, our order was wrong. Ridiculous. The food is not good. The service is awful and the manager is rude beyond belief. Our family has been ordering from villa for about a year - our kids love that each order comes with a fountain pop and we've loved the pizza each time we ordered. Unfortunately last night my son ordered a pizza to be delivered and when the order arrived he was charged the wrong amount and it was the wrong order. I called today to inquire (not demand anything, just to let them know) and the girl who answered the phone was rude and said that because my son didn't call last night they wouldn't do anything to remedy the problem even though THEY screwed up the order. Tried Villa for the first time today and it was great. Being new to the area I have been on the hunt for great pizza. I always get pineapple on my pizza but it sometimes makes the crust soggy but not this crust. Its was crispy and the cheese was to die for. Highly disappointed with the customer service at this restaurant. I was on my way home (and in a bit of a hurry), so my husband put in an online order at 3:59 PM, that said it would be available at 4:20 PM. I swung by Villa Pizza around 4:25 PM and at that point the manager on duty told me that they didn't have any takeout orders. Another coworker picked up an iPad and said that there was an order - it was ours. The manager told me - "give me 10." Ok, no apology, not the friendliest - but mistakes happen and I get it. I took a seat and prepared to wait for 10 minutes. 10 minutes past. 20 minutes past. And 30. It wasn't until about 5:15 PM that they called my name. Other customers in the restaurant even looked at me and said, "how long have you been waiting here? what did you even order?" I normally do not complain - I actually only just created this account to write this review because I felt so strongly about this. But I politely walked up and said, "I understand mistakes happen, but is there anything you can do for us? I was supposed to pick this pizza up almost an hour ago so I'm a little frustrated." The manager was appalled that I would even ask the question. He told me that it wasn't his fault that the order didn't come through. He told me not to do an online order again - that if it was him he would want to call and talk to someone personally... at the end of his lecture he offered me an upgrade from an 8oz drink to a 2 liter. This wasn't exactly what I was looking for - which wasn't much. Maybe a discount on the order or coupon for next time? But he did not offer anything. As I was leaving he said, "next time... call..." At this point I just said, "I'm thinking we probably wont..." and left. He never once apologized. He didn't do what he could to make it right. Understand completely that mistakes happen - I've worked in customer service, so I absolutely get it. But disrespect and rudeness - I will never understand.
