3 years later, still enjoying the hookah here! It's probably the best spot on Steinway for quality hookah. My favorite flavors to smoke here are Aphrodite + Kamoon. The hookahs last about 2 hours which is the perfect time. They have flavors for all different taste palates so you won't be disappointed! They recently upgraded their menu and the spicy wings are so delicious served with fries and salad with a tamarind vinaigrette type dressing. Definitely will be trying more soon. The service here is amazing and they are always attentive and take care of regulars. Abdul and Karim are so nice and helpful always and keep the place running smooth. I have to say at first I was a tad bit annoyed we walked in at about 11:00pm on Saturday night with my husband . No one had taken our order nor even realized we had been seated. But, the owner noticed and made sure to make eye contact and from then on out the evening was smooth sailing ! I appreciate the recovery , && they're hookah is def one of the best I've had ! We decided to come here for my cousins birthday. We had called in earlier to make reservations but when we walked in, it didn't seem like our reservations were ever put down. We were seated in a space for 4-5 and we were a party of 6. We asked for a bigger space but they didn't have anything at the moment. Once we got settled and comfortable, the evening got better. Ordered some wings, pakora, and some drinks. Our waiter came and helped us decide on our hookah flavors. Since we were all divided on which to pick he gave us two of his popular ones and told us if we don't like them, he'll change them. The food at this place was really good. Villa has a 7 day happy hour from 2-7 pm where all hookahs are $14! Monday - Wednesday offers $18 specials and the normal price is $22 for a hookah. Ice hoses are an additional $5, and the bubble tea is $9. Pink panther and lit lychee were delicious as were the lychee bubbles. Their coffee is also really lovely. Gratuity is included in the bill after a certain time, which is helpful, and bring cash for tips! Food is great, and portions are very large for the price. We had the chicken appetizer and the curry with pita. So flavorful and filling! Okay, maybe tonight is an off night. First the restaurant seems to have a policy of not giving guests glasses of water which is step one in restaurant business. Second, they litterally didn't have over fifty percent of the items of the menu. The server cited a missing supply "delivery" I'm very disappointed. No milkshakes, no bubble tea The wings I ate weren't the best. They tried to make up my missing food items by offering substitutions but even it was disappointing. Management has to pick up the level of service. The servers are overwhelmed and to be fair they are trying their best. But for a restaurant not to have required items and lack luster service on a Saturday night is horrible. This expirience ruined my night. My friend waited over 30 minutes for her food and she was first to order. This restaurant has to make a choice of either being a hooka place or a restaurant. This place used to have the best hookah around. But now the hookah burns out very quickly. They put half lit coals on and that makes the hookah burn out and taste very bad. You have to constantly ask for the hookah to be fixed. The people around us were also commenting about the quality of the hookah. More than once, we've gotten there for their "happy hour" and we've had to get the check fixed multiple times before they finally get it right with the "happy hour" pricing. Sometimes they argue "you ordered this after the time was up" but they should have a time in their system as to when the order was put in. If not, listen to the customer. We are regulars and never say much about the bill. We wouldn't sit there and argue over a few dollars it's just the principle of the matter. The first time we went there, we only ordered one bubble tea and were charged for 6. We didn't realize until after we had already left and decided not to say anything since we planned on going often and it would probably have been an argument anyways. The fact that they only allow two cards per check is ridiculous since often times parties of 5-10 people go in and it's not convenient to only use two cards. Tonight they didn't allow us to get a cup of ice with a soda. Their reason being "people could mix alcohol into their drink." No other hookah lounge on Steinway does that. Villa is one of the better lounges on Steinway now. The crowd is usually the young to mid 20s. The decor is excellent and they change it depending on the season. The hookah is great, they use kloud loutuses on every hookah and it really helps with the heat management and smoothness of the hookah. They also have great food. They also take card instead of only cash which is always a plus on Steinway. Prices are definitely on the higher end but with the happy hour deals you're rarely paying the full price. read more

My group loves Pakola & Captain America the most, but you will likely not be disappointed by any flavors here. They come around to check your coals regularly. One of my friends doesn't even smoke hookah and she comes here just for the chicken pakoras & chaat fries! The food is great. Update (June 2018): My major complaint for Villa used to be the music when DJ Rhien was there more often. I've noticed that they have DJ Qlimaxx there more often now, and I think DJ Smokey (and maybe others), and the music is back to being great. The DJs on weekend days are skilled and mix bollywood, dancehall, hip hop, top 40 quite well! It's a good chill vibe during the week, too. Their special event nights are fun, like when they show wrestling. The flavor that I really like is fantastic four, it's very smooth.
