Our daughter began at TLE at three months, and she is nine months old now. Her caregivers are so loving, attentive and on top of her needs. Our daughter truly brims with joy when she sees Ms. Erika, Ms. Cookie, and Ms. Latisha; they are like family. They have also taught us so much as first-time parents; I can't imagine not having TLE as a resource. We love that the school has an app and they share photos through the day, keeping us updated on feeding and changing schedules, as well as any supplies we need to bring in. She is developing so fast and learning so many new skills every day, all thanks to her wonderful caretakers. TLE also has countless activities for holidays throughout the year that are so fun for our daughter and that build a sense of community. The school has a tight security system which makes me confident that our daughter is safe. Ms. Monica, the business manager, knows every child's name and keeps all of the wheels turning; she's so organized and helpful with anything that we need. I also love that TLE is a franchise... they have corporate guidelines they follow for the healthy and safety of the children, and it feels like there's a level of oversight that you don't always find with other small mom-and-pop daycare centers. My daughter was with this school for a little over a year. She loved her teachers and her classmates. We always got photos and updates at the end of the day, and were very happy with how things were going. When she transitioned to the next class, things went downhill. Off the bat we didn't have the same good feeling about the teachers compared to her last class. It was an overall colder vibe, not as caring. My daughter has ALOT of emotions (terrible two era) so I understand this can take a toll on the teachers. But I didn't appreciate how every day when I picked my daughter up, she seemed like she had been crying for long durations. One day, she came home with marks on her hand. I know one of the teachers has long nails but didn't say anything because it could have come from a child. However, none of the teachers commented on the marks which to me was a red flag (usually we would get an incident report or at least the teacher would tell us what happened). Another time, after picking my daughter up, she kept repeating in the car "stop crying, stop crying." When I asked her who said that, she said teacher. I showed her photos of her teachers and there was clearly one aid who she seemed scared of. After this, I immediately pulled her out (also after seeing a similar review from a student in the same class). When the head of the school met with me after I pulled my daughter, she seemed very protective of her staff and I almost felt like she was trying to tell me I was wrong for pulling my daughter out. However, I am SO thankful I did. We transitioned her to Bluffs School and things have improved significantly. The teachers are all warm and have great energy, I love the director, and the tuition is only slightly more than The Learning Experience! Overall, we're happy we made the move. I also was to mention that you should read the positive reviews on Yelp. At least one is from an individual who thought they were posting a review for a toy store. Mistakes happen, but what I think is gross is The Learning Experience commented on that review thanking them for the positive review (see photo- in case they try to get this deleted).

He came home starving (with untouched food in his backpack), in urine-soaked clothes despite multiple outfit changes packed, and even signed in on days he wasn't there. Staff admitted they hadn't completed training, and the director "lost" medical paperwork we provided on day one. The final straw: I found deep nail marks on his arm, back, chest, and legs in different stages of healing, plus bruising on his ribs. I have proof from bath time the night before and security cameras the morning of drop-off that he had no marks, meaning this happened while in their care. The director dismissed it as a "lanyard," refused to let me file a complaint, and then willfully downplayed and excluded key facts (what marks were there, how many, and who was responsible). In doing so, she was culpable, negligent, and more concerned with protecting herself than protecting children. Later we learned other children had similar injuries, and that teachers were dragging crying kids into bathrooms, shutting the door, and isolating them as punishment. Two teachers were only let go after another staff member resigned and reported it to the health department. The result? My son developed night terrors, became withdrawn, and was referred by our pediatrician to play therapy to recover from the trauma. I don't normally write reviews, but parents deserve the truth: this center is unsafe, almost never in compliance, and still licensed. The director's willful negligence makes her directly responsible for failing the children in her care.

From the warm welcome I received from the director, Kristine, I immediately knew my daughter was in the right place. Kristine introduced me to her teacher, "MJ" who was genuinely excited to meet me and finally meet my daughter's father for the first time. I'll be honest because of my work schedule, I've missed many of the drop offs and pick-ups. But seeing the difference in my daughter when I come home from work has always made me appreciate the people who help shape her when I'm not there. At just three years old, my daughter can articulate her thoughts, carry on conversations, and express herself in ways that truly amaze me. Yes, I read books with her before bedtime and do everything I can as a father, but I also recognize the incredible role her teachers play in helping her learn, grow, communicate, and develop. I want to sincerely thank Little Heroes. The name truly fits because our children are all little heroes, and the people at Little Heroes are helping mold, teach, and prepare them for the future. One of the things I appreciate most is the environment they have created. Every classroom is always so clean, neat, and thoughtfully arranged with age-appropriate materials. Everything is child-sized and designed to encourage creativity, exploration, and independence. There is so much intention behind every detail, and it truly shows in the children. What makes this school even more special, though, is the people. Last month, my husband underwent brain surgery, and our family was going through an incredibly difficult time. The entire staff checked in on us, showed genuine concern, and went out of their way to support our family. They even allowed Remy to stay for the full day instead of his usual half day so I could be at the hospital with my husband. That kindness meant more to me than they will ever know. It reminded me that this is so much more than a school or daycare. It is a community of people who genuinely care about the children AND the families they serve. Both of my boys absolutely love going to school, and there is no greater feeling as a parent than knowing your children are happy, safe, loved, and thriving when they are not with you. We especially appreciate their focus on practical life skills; helping her learn to put on her own shoes, share and interact with her classmates, express her feelings, and understand the importance of community. Since starting at Guidepost, we have seen tremendous growth in our daughter's speech, independence, confidence, and curiosity. It's amazing to see how much she has learned and how excited she is to continue learning. The combination of the Montessori curriculum, Spanish immersion, and such caring and dedicated guides has been wonderful for her development.
