Anytime I visit Village Deaux, I'm met with smiling faces and delicious smells! If that wasn't enough for you to come back, then the delicious donuts and delectable coffee should be! As a coffee snob, it's hard to find truly GOOD coffee shops. So far, every coffee or espresso drink I've gotten there has been yummy and made with care. I grew up in Eunice, and have never found a donut to rival a fresh Ray's Bakery donut. Now that I live in Maurice and got to try these: WOW! Their glazed donut is a staple. So airy and delicious. Lovely little bakery in Maurice that has incredible donuts, specialty cakes and other baked masterpieces of deliciousness! Including FAN-CREDIBLE-ICIOUS king cakes, complete with a teeny plastic crawfish !! the interior of the building is also beautifully decorated and I had a pretty awesome time with the chalk outside. Edit: Reply to Drake P. You don't get to spin this into a customer service win. Sorry. You weren't there. The pricing mess up was the start of the problem. Arguing with me, making excuses and accusing me of arguing was what really made the experience bad. If you are sincere in wanting to make customer experiences good, you will correct THAT! Furthermore, customer service starts with preparation. You set yourself up for bad customer service by not communicating your pricing correctly, even though you obviously had plenty of time since you said the little tacked on sign was sun faded. The correct answer is "Sorry about that. We have used your suggestion and updated all pricing in a way that is clear. It will look prettier when the new sign comes in, but corrects the mistake in the meantime. The errors that contributed to your poor experience have been corrected and won't happen again. We hope you will give us another try, please!" Do that, and I will update my review. Original: Donuts and kolaches were good. Customer Service bad. The price on your sign _IS_THE_PRICE_! They charged me $10 more than what was reflected on the sign for my items. After I paid, I looked at the receipt, because things did not add up in my mind, and sure enough, they charged me more. I asked them to adjust to the price on the sign. The owner (I think it was the owner) got involved and gave me the excuse their costs went up and the new sign had not come in. I'm like "ever heard of a Sharpie??" She argued with me about it saying they couldn't wait, cuz they were losing money and accused me of arguing. No. Pricing matching up is an IMMOVABLE OBJECT for most customers, especially me. It is a requirement of doing business! I'm just trying to conduct the business that you screwed up. To her credit, she refunded the whole order, which I asked her not to do. Just charge me correctly. She said she wanted me to come back. I get it. Bidenomics is raising costs for all of us. But over charging customers and then comping a $45 order when called out... and then arguing about it. That's a strange way to remain profitable and keep customers happy when a $5 roll of duct tape and a $3 sharpie would have taken care of it all. read more

Came here two days in row because the recommended chai tea was so delicious! Starbucks who??? I also had a glazed donut, it was so simple, warm and tasty. Today hubby and I had (another recommendation from my SIL also) the boudin kolaches. It was so big we ended up sharing one and giving the second one to my in-laws. Will definitely be back! First of all, ANY DAY I COME MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY they NEVER have any biscuits prepared. I come before 9 am most days and I think it's absolutely ridiculous. Today though I waited in a line for 20 minutes and the lady at the window told me they had a batch that they had going but I needed to prepay in order to secure one and come back in 20 minutes. Which was completely fine so I wait twenty minutes in the parking lot to come back inside for them to tell me they burnt the biscuits and were unwilling to make another batch. All she could do was refund me because they were "too busy" and none of this was with a smile either. Why keep something on your menu if you never have it? Just rude and then the donut holes they gave me were ICE COLD. I'll never recommend them to anyone ever again. read more

Although the donuts do taste like the old Vincent's, I think that when the glaze is put on the donuts, the donuts still be to hot so the glaze just melts off and it leaves the donut not. So I would maybe suggest letting the donuts cool a little more before adding glaze! Other than that very tasty!!! read more

I've passed this place every day coming home from Lafayette. There is always a line in the driveway and a full parking lot. I couldn't take it anymore and HAD to know if it really was that good that people were willing to wait that long. Well, when I went in, I got my answers. 1, the wait isn't that long. They have found a balance between friendly service and being quick. If you want to know what every donut is (yes, I was that customer) they will tell you and not once get upset. 2, the donuts and coffee are THAT good. I've gotten flavored coffee, chai tea latte (my favorite beverage ever) and different donuts each time. They have new creations every time I go. It's such a beautiful, fun place with beautiful, fun employees to match. It's our new tradition to get our daughter donuts for her birthday and they make the experience even more fun and special for her. We're so lucky to have them as our neighbors! read more
