We are staying in Yuma overnight bc I am having dental work done in Mexico. I was really looking forward to some good pizza before my mouth surgery tomorrow. This place we called in a pizza for pick up. Were told 18.00 for a large thin crust pepperoni. We went to get it right away. My husband went in to get it and was charged 26.00 for a cold, semi-burnt pizza with NO flavor and a tough crust that was very difficult to bite through and I haven't even had my dental work yet. Been wanting to take me husband here for a while now. First walk in and the ambiance is dark, 90s themed, and quiet. Went up to the counter to order/pay and the big guy was not very friendly, cut throat answers, and not talkative. The prices are good for 2-3 people but kinda high for what we got. Ordered the salad bar, garlic bread, and small deep dish pizza and paid close to 60$. The food was very good overall, no complaints other than while waiting 30-45 minutes for our pizza I had to ask about our garlic bread and the guy had forgot. For years I've wanted to eat here. Word-of-mouth the takeout, lunch and dine-in dinner specials were good choices, so we decided to dine in for our weekly Family Night. To me, the dining experience was like a mix of 70's to 90's era of pizza places; dark with a lot of character. This has been a staple of Yuma for decades, with smoking and non-smoking sections back in the day, as I understand it! We sat in the front (the backroom was used for a party), and ordered our meal. Consisting of a large stuffed deep dish Italian Supreme pizza, the Salad Bar and 2 pitchers of soda. The pizza: good, way better than originally thought. The Salad Bar was run-of-the-mill. This pizza place gives off those old school pizza joint vibes. The pizza is nice and light making it perfect for lunch. There is a ton of room to accommodate bigger groups. Very friendly staff; but the pizza has a really off flavor i took two bites from a pizza I ordered and tossed the rest. I couldn't tell if it was the cheese or the sauce or spice blend but it definitely was not good. I also ordered some wings and they were completely soggy with no texture or flavor to them. This is what I would call a vintage pizzeria. The dining room is not fancy, but it is clean and retro. Lunch special is 11am-3pm. (Pizza or spaghetti and meat sauce, with all u can eat salad bar). We chose pizzas option. We could see the prep/kitchen from our table. The crust is thin/medium but crispy. The pizzas, each had adequate toppings. Flavors were good. The salad bar had fresh veggies including Romaine. Also potato salad, pickled beets, macaroni salad, along with additional veggies, peaches, bacon bits and croutons. Catalina, Ranch, Bleu cheese, Italian, 1k island for dressings. We enjoyed our meal very much and plan to return. Note: order at pay at counter. Seat yourself. I love the simplicity of their pizzas. They aren't carb loaded sugar heavy sauced pizzas, instead they focus on ingredients that just taste clean. I'm having difficulty explaining it but it's as if the ingredients have no preservatives, the pizza sauce tastes like tomatoes, a little tangy and not sweet, the cheese isn't slick with oil and the bread is thin and crispy. Usually a slice of pizza leaves me feeling heavy but I didn't have that feeling after eating several slices of pizza here. read more

Our pizzas came out and were in fact piping hot, but it was so cold in there that the pizza got cold after the first piece. The pizza was just ok. Not enough cheese or sauce. This has got to be the saddest and most upsetting experience. I remember going to this place years ago and had some of the best pizza ever. Now, this seriously tasted like a piece of worn out cardboard from the lettuce coolers. The crust was crusted dough with a hint of burp. The tomato sauce (not marinara) was as good as spaghetti and meatballs flavor from an mre, & the mre was probably better. I've been coming to Yuma for about a year now on and off my wife and I have a home out here and in San Diego ever since I started coming to Yuma, I would tell my wife I would like to go to village Inn and try the pizza. My wife would tell me she wasn't a fan of it from the last time she had it This past Memorial Day holiday I was in Yuma and I said let's go to village Inn. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a large supreme pizza. Let me tell you this pizza was freaking amazing. The crust was so crispy. The cheese was nice and fresh the sauce had the perfect amount of tang. The wings I will say were not my favorite but we're good. I prefer a crispy wing that is a personal preference though the cheese sticks amazing I definitely would recommend village and pizza. Service is good if I'm not mistaken this is mom and Pop shop family place? It's very cozy. They got the jukebox couple arcade games Your typical pizza parlor but not your typical pizza. This pizza is five stars. Can't wait to come back and try something else. read more

Deserves about 0.3 stars. Pizza is dry and salty as can be, like swallowing pure table salt. The ranch dressing tastes like straight oil, and is virtually inedible. Be quick with ordering, they run out of dough late evening. The food I had gotten is pretty stacked, think it was some sort of deep dish or Chicago style. Tried the wings and a "heart attack" sandwich. I went to the hospital following morning. I regret nothing!! My gallbladder was pretty suspect and it was finally removed. The amount of ham on that sandwich is incredible, very tasty, coupled with the deep dish pizza. Made it all worth it. Now that the pesky gallbladder is out of the way, I don't have to be nervous and will be able to enjoy the food without thinking I'm going to explode. Very disappointed in the employees, I reserved the room and paid deposit. Nothing was reserved for my dinner party. Employee said they don't reserve on Fridays, yet they took my deposit when I reserved earlier in the week. the employee then gave me many reasons why we didn't have a table reserved. However the room was full of dinner guests and There were reserved signs for another party, which the employee told me it was reserved for bosses friends. Not happy with the attitude of the employee I was speaking with he had lots of excuses why we didn't have a table even though we paid reservation fee. I will be following up with manager. I have been coming to Village Inn Pizza Parlor for over 40 yrs. I used to love everything about it. Today unfortunately had a horrible experience. As I walked in to order the older man sighed in frustration (mind you there were only 2 other people in the place). As I begin to order he makes snarky remarks about everything. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked him if he was the only one working, trying to lighten the mood and he proceeds to say I'm the only one you see. At this time I had decided enough of his sarcasm and just decided to walk out. I have noticed as the years have passed the quality of the food has unfortunately gone down.
