While out and about with a friend one of our errands took me to one of our local Yuma businesses. My warranty on the product I had problems with ended up saving me the $35 replacement fee which more than paid for the original warranty so.... I treated my friend and I to a lovely lunch at Olive Garden. We arrived around 11 AM. She adores the meat spaghetti and had enough for another meal because we ordered the dinner portions. Her soup looked delicious and our waitress was friendly as she twirled the handle on the Parmesan grater for both the soup and my salad.. I'm a huge fan of eggplant Parmesan, but the carbohydrates of pasta and I are not friends. The bright waitress suggested I substitute broccoli which arrived bright and fresh perfectly seasoned. What a blessing. This Olive Garden is in Yuma the lettuce capital of the states and we can't get fresh salad. Ordered all you can eat salad, soup & breadsticks, the salad was limp. We also received 3big chunks of lettuce that we were unable to eat. Every restaurant we have ordered salad in have been really crisp and tasty. The worst one was last night in Olive Garden. The tomatoes were soft and mush and you only get 2 olives. read more

We came here as we were passing through town. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated right away in a lovely table area that fit all 7 of us with extra room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Crystal and Erick were our servers and they were very kind, attentive and informative. We ordered 2 gluten free meals and Crystal was very knowledgeable on the shared fryer, and to bring separate dressing because of the risk of croutons falling in the dressing . Our server did a great job and she was very friendly! We ordered the never ending pasta and soup and salad. Don't order this unless you're starving! The salad was ok and the soups were ok also. The marinara sauce stood out...very delicious taste. We also had the calamari as an appetizer...not bad...a little greasy. The famous breadsticks were also good...great when hot. By far the best Olive Garden that my wife & I have ever visited. Seated right away, place was packed, but the whole team was hustling so that the food was served fast, tables cleared and next guests seated. Our waiter (Gabriel) was awesome, never needed anything because he constantly checked on us throughout our meal. I did my usual (seafood alfredo), but it was far my usual. This was very good. I'm of simple taste, so spaghetti and meat sauce suits me just fine. My wife had gluten free pasta with meat sauce. The salad was good, though the ingredients seemed bagged. The breadsticks were good as well. They went to a lot of effort fawning over the gluten free. I'm not sure why they ask if it is due to allergy or personal preference. What does it matter? But delivery of the GF dish to the table was personally handled by the manager. A good meal and still reasonably priced. read more

We made a reservation, showed up 5 minutes before the reservation time and were told it was going to be a 20 minute wait. There was no apology that we would not be sat at our reservation time. The hostess was rude and off putting. When a table finally opened up for us to be sat late, the hostess took off with the menus and when we couldn't keep up with her pace (we were there celebrating my grandmother's 90th and she uses a walker) the hostess turned and huffed at us with her hand on hip like we were wasting her time. The hostess is a child and needs to find a job that is better suited for her personality. Hospitality is not it. Then when the food came out the Alfredo was cold (two different dishes had the same issue). We asked for the dish to be heated up and the kitchen literally just put more warm Alfredo sauce over top the cold chicken and noodles. This place has gone down hill. Management needs to take a look at who've they've staffed. read more

I took my wife along with my mother & brother to Olive Garden for a Birthday lunch for my wife and first of all the service is always good but the food just isn't keeping up. The first basket of bread was just hard(sent it back) the wife's food was over cooked & the Spaghetti these day's dry . Wow! Talk about an amazing server! Amy G. heard my numerous food allergies plus I'm a pescatarian (only eat fish and vegetables). She took the time and checked the allergens and created the dish perfect for me. It was delicious... CYO Pasta-Gluten Free Rotini and sautéed shrimp. There were at least 16 shrimp! Too much for one person or one meal. Plus, she got me fresh hot bread sticks without the butter and salt. And, my salad had each topping on the side and she brought olive oil for my dressing! This Olive garden is super busy and is in a great location for anyone either driving by or that lives in Yuma. I stopped in for some Italian food on the late lunch and had the chicken marsala. The chicken is a little rubbery but not too much the sauce was excellent. It's served with a side of fettuccine alfredo and some of the noodles might have been under the heat lamp for a hot second they weren't crunchy but they weren't all gooey either. All the meals come with choice of super salad and it's the same salad and I still have the same beef with the corporation that you can't get all romaine lettuce. Breadsticks are still warm and gooey and salty and delicious. The strength of Olive garden in Yuma is that it's a busy place and you tend to get better servers and it's a well-run corporate store. So the bathroom is immaculate the parking is easy out front and they usually have good service. read more

Been coming here my whole life, went in twice in the last 5 days and both times were terrible service. The first time, we were forgotten about by our waiter multiple times. We thought they were just busy in the back that day or something as there weren't a lot of guests but we were understanding. Even when they got our order wrong, i just politely asked for my correct order again but the server was so annoyed. We went again in hopes they just had a bad day and we obviously love olive garden. Same thing, forgotten about, wrong order but twice this time, and again a different server just seemed so rude and upset at us for them getting the wrong order even though i was super nice about it. So the service here was very good and music was playing while we ate and the food was very GOOD. The chicken and gnocchi was very marvelous. It was cheesy the flavors were so good there was spinach, carrots, gnocchi and chicken! And don't get me started on the bread, it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! The shrimp scampi with asparagus and tomatoes was a winner! The limited edition Moscato infused with green apple purée and pineapple juice with bits of fresh strawberries was a pleasant surprise! Lol, why should I review Olive Garden? It's an Olive Garden. Well, I'm administering a half-star above the average, for Olive Garden welcomed us to Yuma when we first moved in. After an arduous unpacking process, we made a reservation for a Saturday night table. The owner welcomed us; we explained we were new to the neighborhood, and he told us about his own moving-to-Yuma story. Friendly guy -- we got to chat with him for a few more visits afterward. In any case, for that first month of Yuma-hood, my fiancée and I went almost every week. We were strangers in this land, and it was no coincidence that we felt safe and secure patronizing Olive Garden. For one thing, it's a ton more food than I remember growing up. As we approach our 30's, soup, salad, and endless breadsticks are all we need! By the time our pasta dishes arrive, we're much too full. I remember as a kid pestering my parents to order dessert beignets. Now? I can hardly take the little Andes mints at the end. Yes, we are familiar with the objections to Olive Garden, like its Italian inauthenticity. To me, so what? You get a bunch of food that, yes, you can make rather easily at home. But, you came here. Enjoy it, lads. Plus, if your server is cool, they'll throw in a little bowl of dipping sauce for your breadsticks. My fiancée and I haven't been back in quite some time, but I'm sure before we leave Yuma, we'll pay them a grateful so-long visit. What drove me to write this review was how quickly the staff person responded to me being in the to go parking spot, how friendly she was, how hit the food was, the large amount of helping I received and how tasty the food was. I haven't been to Olive Garden in many years. I'm visiting Yuma and it was close. Well, never again. Awful from beginning to the end. My husband ordered sangria and I ordered a Bellini. The Bellini tasted like tea. Neither was good. The salad came out with very little dressing if any at all. No dipping sauce for the stale cold breadsticks. The meals came. I ordered chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. I received two pieces of chicken about the size of a hockey puck and it tasted like one too. It reminded me of the school lunches back in the 70's. Way overcooked and dried to smitherines! There is no exaggeration here at all. It was horrible. The spaghetti was ok. My husband ordered chicken Alfredo with broccoli. He said it was good, however he left 1/2 on the plate. It really was a horrible meal. And it cost us $80.00. Never again. Folks save your time and money. read more
