My son who is 22 years old went there to pick something up on his way home for me on his way home from work, the woman looked at him like he was attempting to steal first off. Then he goes to pay she asks for his ID which was fine, she proceeded to scan it which was fine as it's legitimate, then went into the back to speak with someone, came back out and told my son they no longer except RI licenses. Completely rude and unbelievable. Glad we know to spread the word to our RI friends and local franklin and Bellingham friends about this interaction, and to shop somewhere else. Good way to go out of business. In response to your response on google, where you don't accept under certain age individuals from out of state, I have never heard of such a thing. We go to Gillette and Fenway often, and have never had an issue with him getting a beer during a game. We go to restaurants in mass all the time, never an issue. The National law is 21 with a VALID license, which he has. You just had a problem with him I think because of his ethnicity as he said he felt watched and judged from the moment he stepped in that store, which is ridiculous. He called me feeling completely judged and humiliated as there were other customers in the store, who said they bring out of state friends there all the time. We just went down the street in Bellingham (still Mass) where it was much better service and actually better priced. So in retrospect you did him a favor. read more

If I could rate this negative stars I would, not only Everytime I go the owner is in back prob smoking or something, all I wanted was a sleeve and by the time owner was done then uber left so I had to walk home. They cancel my Drizly order every time. I give up on this business. They don't accept out of state ID after 1989, even if you have other forms of ID present (except passport), which is completely ridiculous.

I went there to get some potato vodka and was told I need a passport to buy liquor. I'm 25 with a valid drivers license so went down the road to liquor world and ask them if that was the law and they looked at me like I was mad but walked out with a bottle. read more

The owner of this store is one of the best owners I have ever meet. He is always so helpful in choosing different wines. I think it would be impossible to ask him a wine/liquor or beer questions that he could not answer. He even ordered a beer that I asked for because he did not have it in stock. Have to scan ID and it really doesn't matter because if you're under 30 and are visiting from another state forget about buying anything. No matter how old I am, I will not ever be returning to this establishment. I agree with the comment about ageism. This establishment is truly unjust to people of legal age to drink. read more

I walk in to village mall to pick up beer for a friend who is having a BBQ. I traveled from New York and wanted to get cold beer closer to the event. This place refused to serve me (I'm 24) and will refuse anyone out of state who was born after 1987. I thought I was done with age discrimination. This store has a ridiculous policy. They refuse to sell alcohol to people with out of state ID's. I moved to mass from out of state a year ago and have never had any issues at other liquor stores or bars. I offered to give multiple forms of ID's but the girl at the register refused to sell me anything. If you're out of state don't bother going here unless you are over 30 years old. read more
