St Paul Meat Shop markets themselves as St Paul's only whole animal butcher shop. One of our favorite items is the pastrami. Their pastrami is amazing! Made and smoked in house. It is sliced thin and makes a great sandwich. They also have turkey which I believe is cooked sous vide. Our last visit we picked up some skirt steak and their juicy lucy burgers. As we were checking out, there was one condiment that we forgot and it didn't appear that they had that. The very nice gentleman was able to locate some for us and helped us out. The counter help was not trained, could not operate the saw to cut in half and it was wrapped like a child would wrap. I think the meat market, is becoming no more than an ordinary store. Still looks like a wonderful meat market, need to back it up with service and meat quality.

They are super kind and easy to work with. The quality of their meat is excellent. We buy all our deli meat here and the quality of Boar's Head is excellent...I want to eat sandwiches at home now. Their chicken breast is also excellent. Plus, they have lots of stuff that is difficult to find elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

We have had them several time and they have been great. The ones we had today were not. the stuffing was so salty it was not edible. My wife called the store and the employee she talked to said he had a new person make the stuffing and we should just put some cream of mushroom soup on it to cover the salt. I would have expected them to tell us to bring back the ones we froze and they would replace them. He just said put cream of mushroom soup on it. Their food is not cheap, but it was always good before. The customer service today was terrible. Will not be going back there again.
