Chicken Piccata Tender chicken over angel hair in a bright lemon-butter caper sauce.

CōV in Wayzata delivers a refined take on chicken piccata. The chicken was tender with a light golden sear, while the lemon-butter sauce balanced richness with bright citrus and just enough briny capers. The angel hair was cooked perfectly and soaked up every bit of the sauce. Fresh herbs finished the dish beautifully. A great choice if you're looking for a lighter, elegant pasta in a relaxed lakeside setting.

We went to COV Wayzata for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed our experience. The complimentary caramel roll was absolutely delicious to start with, and we also tried the crab cake (fantastic!) and the truffle fries. The ambiance was wonderful as always--the décor at COV is one of my favorites and creates such a great atmosphere. The only downside this time was that service felt a bit on the slower side. That said, we still love COV--it's consistently a great spot and one we'll definitely be back to!

I came here on a rainy day with a friend and the view was incredible, even with the gloom! Would love to come back on a clear day. We ordered the halibut ceviche which was super refreshing. I had the walleye fish and chips - the battered was really well fried and thin, the fries were average, but I loved the tartar sauce. My friend had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken - she enjoyed it but it had a bit too much dressing. Service was good and prices are HIGH, you're definitely paying for the view.

I went to COV to celebrate my 21st birthday, and while the evening had some nice moments, overall it didn't quite live up to expectations. The service was just okay--not rude or anything, but not particularly warm or attentive either. It felt a little rushed, and for a special occasion, I was hoping for a bit more care. One thing that was disappointing: happy hour is only available at the bar, which wasn't made super clear when we were seated. We found out too late, and that definitely affected our experience. The food itself was decent, but the portion sizes felt small for the price. Everything looked nice, but for what I paid, I expected a little more in terms of quantity and overall value.

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and had an overall amazing experience! Service was great, we came and were seated immediately with no wait. I had the grain bowl and my boyfriend had the chicken piccata which we really enjoyed! However the artichoke is what really was the star, it surpassed both of our expectations so much! I really recommend people give it a try from the appetizer list. Everything inside is decorated very well and I love that you can look out on the lake while dining. My only suggestion is for them to make the grain bowl warm rather than cold, especially for the winger it would be better in my opinion! Plenty of free parking options available and it's a great upscale restaurant to swing by for lunch or dinner. Melissa was our server and she was great as well!

Cov has a great ambiance. I like the closeness to the water. The food is not memorable though. I have been many times, and I am always not excited by the food. Plus it is very $$$. I tried the burger and a sushi roll. Both were not worth the price tag as they were just average. Nothing to write home about. I appreciated that our waitress cut the burger in half for my friend and I who were splitting them!

Absolutely beautiful! I loved every single detail about this place from start to finish. Starting with beautiful outdoor seating with lake views and florals everywhere. The indoor decor also did not disappoint with more florals and lighting. We started with the calamari - it was amazing. We also had the lobster roll and clam chowder. This was the best lobster roll I have had, including those from Maine and Montauk. So flavorful and the roll was toasted to perfection. Clam chowder was also delicious. I would say this was the best meal of our trip to Minnesota!

Food is amazing as always. I love those sushi. Service has never ever been a problem when I have gone. This cannot be changed but the train sometimes passes by and it gets extremely loud but that is out of their control. Other than that, this place is AMAZING. I love this location.

Absolutely stunning restaurant. Upon entered the decor makes you feel you are on the water in a relaxing spa. But the restaurant is perfectly situated on the water and can see lake Wayzata perfectly. The menu was amazing and there's something for everyone! The waiter recommended the sushi and the turkey sandwich. I ended up going with the lobster roll because this place had me feeling I was on the east coast.

Cov is an excellent spot to hang out with friends and loved ones! While we did need to wait about 25 minutes for a table, it was worth it! The hostesses were friendly and were friendly when I asked for an update after 20 minutes. Happy Hour was delicious! Our waitress was prompt and friendly. She took our order and the evening went by smoothly. The burger was juicy. The crab cakes not overly bready or gummy texture. Very nice crab texture and flavor! The prime rib sliders were my personal favorite of the 3 sliders tried. Great bite, flavor, heat, and the pickles are stellar! The chicken wings are good. The ribs are cooked well, but a little tight in texture to my personal liking. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and had a good amount of spice!

    White Lotus

White Lotus was so good! The quiche was also good but the crust was a bit hard. Ambiance was superb like always.

beautiful lake view, the patio is the best and the happy hour is my absolute favorite. They have delicious drinks and lots of food options, favorite is the oysters and flatbread. Love the friendly and attentive service.

We had cocktails to start and they were crafted well and delicious. I had the pink 75 and it was not overly sweet but was refreshing. We started with the Parker house rolls, shrimp cocktail and the onion and caviar dip. Very tasty and I would order again. The soup with lobster was especially good as was the cavatelli. We had the bananas foster for dessert and could have licked the dish clean! We also had the grasshopper and pink lady which were a fun treat. I highly recommend and look forward to going back soon.

Connor answered all of our questions about the menu, and when we inquired about a specific bottle of wine, he brought it to our table so we could take a closer look. I appreciated his willingness to go the extra mile. The food was excellent. We started with the Parker House rolls, which I will not soon forget. I only wish I could have taken a dozen home with me! We also shared the Caesar salad. For our entrées, we had the roast chicken and the beef tenderloin, both of which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Sadly, we didn't have room for dessert, but the Bananas Foster our neighboring table was enjoying looked spectacular. Perhaps next time I'll save room. The only downside is that it does get quite loud as the restaurant gets busy. On my next trip to the Minneapolis area, I'll certainly be back.

The most uncomfortable thing is finding a place to park. If you can't find a spot in the lot, tracking down a street spot that isn't only 1 hour can be a challenge or a bit of a walk. We started with cocktails and Bread is Life appetizer (5/5). Bread is indeed life. We needed two baguettes to eat the three butters/sauces. The whipped ricotta and honey was my favorite, but the chimichurri was a close second. For entrees we split the Beet and Watermelon King Salmon Salad (3/5), A Fat Burger (5/5), Chilled Lobster Roll (4/5), and the Spicy Lobster Mac and Cheese (5/5). The salad was good, but the salmon didn't have enough seasoning for me. It's also more of a traditional watermelon salad vs lettuce salad. The lobster roll was good, but of course mostly bread. It was a hardy sandwich and filled more than other restaurants. The burger was in fact fat, cheesy and juicy. The sandwiches come with hand cut fries (5/5) and an aioli. While the Mac and cheese says it's spicy, it's more of a Minnesota spice. It's a shareable portion, but no more than 3 people if they have other food. For dessert we ordered the Mud Moon Pie (4/5). When they say it's served with a knife they mean it. The portion size is huge! Like 6-12 people could eat on it. We ended up sharing with the table next to us. We were warned it was shareable, but I wish there would have been a smaller portion option to select. We felt so wasteful not being able to eat even half of it. We loved our server. We never felt rushed, our water glasses were never empty and she split the bill with our individual dishes and then split the shared items (I love when they do this vs giving us one bill). While the prices are a little high, the portion sizes and quality of food make it worth it.

We made a reservation on both occasions but didn't have to make it too much in advance so it's always worth checking on. Service is always spectacular with a huge attention to detail and really customized spiels about the menu. The things I've recently tried for drinks have included the spritz del ambratta, the fiore, and a sparkling red from their wine selection. I find myself going back to the Fiore and would recommend that most although their wine is a solid selection as well. In my opinion, the best starter combination is the focaccia plus the lemony beans. The focaccia is solid and it's so good to dip in the mixture that the beans are doused in. The Caesar was decent as well but you can't miss with that other combo. Then, of course, the mains. If you love creamy pasta, do yourself a favor and get the cavatelli. One of my favorite dishes I've had there; I kept almost comparing it to an adult Mac and cheese. Great for sharing if creamy pastas are a bit too rich for your liking. The lasagna is always a close second and you can't go wrong with it. My friend adored the pickle pizza and I thought it was solid too although I would still probably get the cavatelli or lasagna if you are between that and the pizza. Another great shareable. The saffron spaghetti was decent with some really good bite from the noodles and the taste of saffron really coming through, but I would probably get those other dishes before I would order that. On the first occasion, I was there we were celebrating two of my friends' 30th birthdays and H&S did such a good job of celebrating and making them feel special plus they brought out French silk pie cannolis for us plus glasses of sparkling wine, so I would highly recommend this place as a celebratory dinner. Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.
