I never imagined I would write a review for a dentist, but I have to share my experience. I was referred to Village One Dental by a co-worker. She had a decent experience here in the past. I was a bit apprehensive though, because I had a bad experience with a different dentist while having crowns put on. Upon my first Dr. Pannu introduced herself, and shared a brief overview of her education and experience. She recently moved into the Village One office, so I don't think the previous reviews apply to her and her staff. Dr. Pannu and her staff were all very kind, professional, and considerate. She was among the most gentle dentists I have ever had, and was by far the most compassionate I have ever met. There are some people that obviously choose the Healthcare industry because they just want to help other people, and she seems to be one of those people. I needed two more crowns and a filling, requiring multiple visits. Each time I returned, I was shown the same kindness and compassion as my first visit. Dr. Pannu was consistently concerned about any pain I experienced, and made every effort she could to make sure the work was done comfortably. I had never felt compelled to give a dentist a hug until that last day. I am confident I will be a patient of hers as long as she is working here in Modesto. read more

This is the first time I was a patient at Village One Dental. My son has been seen there before, and they have been wonderful. Today, I brought my self along with my two toddlers in for an appointment. My boys are typical toddlers and let's say it would have made more sense not to bring the one that didn't have an appointment. However, they were there and I have to say the entire staff was amazing. I felt terrible that my guys were loud and running around when I was getting my x-rays. So bad planning on my part, turned in to not only a great dental experience with the dentist, but a great experience with people who have a genuine care for their patients. Avoid these thieves at all costs. My husband went in with a problem tooth and they wanted over $3k for a root canal. Talk about taking advantage. My children and I have been going to Dr. Pannu for several years now. The front office staff is polite and professional, very clean. The back office is very polite and professional. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable & understand everything that's happening. I have three elementary school kids & they love going to the dentist! Dr. P is great with kids!! She has a gentle way of speaking to them that makes them listen & not be afraid of injections & filling cavities. I have had my teeth whitened, cleanings and a front tooth crown placed. Dr. Pannu and her lab created a crown for my front tooth that looks so real, just like my other front tooth. My appearance has changed for the better. People who see me look at me and say something looks so different about you we can't figure it out, because the crown looks so real. My smile is big and bright and my confidence has soared! I have never been to such an unprofessional dental practice ever. The receptionist first off clearly lacks education, work ethic or knowledge in her field. She can not properly bill insurance claims nor get you information needed. She just runs her mouth and you don't get the answer you need. The dentist herself is unprofessional. I do not even understand how she has her own practice. Telling your patients oh this is so hard..are you serious? Did you not go to school? You struggle doing the basic dental work and have your own practice? They will also bill you for services not covered by your insurance. Usually a dental office does their job and sees what is not covered. They would rather do the work then charge you after. This is some low budget western dental shit. Their hygienist should be running the show because clearly no one else can. I see the other reviews about the receptionist. She shouldn't have a job. I wish there is a negative rating. This dental office is rip-off, and the dentist is a dishonest man. I happen to have a very good dental insurance through work. I took my 2 teenagers for checkup because the office was very close to my home. The dentist kept telling me my insurance was really good. Then he told me my kids had a lot of cavities. One had 7. The other had 6. I've been having my kids to do dental checkup every six months. I was skeptical but told him to go ahead. He maxed out my insuance cap in one visit! What made me really angry was that when I took my kids back to my old dentist after six months, he asked me who did the work. I told him what happened. He told me the person who did the work did not do the treatment correctly. My daughter had to do root canal! I am planning to report this dentist to the board. Chose this office simply because it was near my house. I am glad I found them! I went in knowing that I had at least one cavity, and I needed a crown. They also found a chip in an existing filling and fixed that for me. The staff is friendly, and the office is very clean. read more

Dr Yook and his staff are awesome!! I had a filling come out on a Saturday afternoon, called the emergency number and he saw me that day even though the office was closed. I really appreciated that because I didn't want to have to wait until Monday morning to have my tooth fixed. A very dishonest man - said my son had six cavities - but they must have been very, very small as in 29 minutes flat he filled them all at 175.00 EACH. My son said there was no Novocaine used, so they must have been "early" cavities. I should have followed the advice of another review, that said "the guy only cares about your money". I am a nervous dental patient and I prefer not to go at all. When I got a tooth ache and needed to be seen, Village One Dental was able to see me right always. The primary dentist was out of town but I was able to get X-Rays and antibiotics that day while I waited. They then scheduled me for later in the week. Both times I went in the staff was so comforting and put me at ease. You can tell they really care about their patients. Tammi at the The front desk and Tammy the dental hygienist were wonderful and the dentist went out of her way to explain everything she was doing. They all made every effort to make me feel comfortable and explain my plan of care. Although I still have more work to be done, I feel confident that they will do a great job and now I feel less nervous about my next visits. I highly recommend for Nervous dental patients like me! This facility has all the latest and greatest technology and is very clean and sanitary. The office staff is courteous, friendly and very accommodating with our busy schedules as out of town contractors. The dentist is very professional, meticulous and caring. I have had several old crowns replaced and an implant procedure by Dr. Yook and am very happy with the results. My husband has also had several old leaking crowns replaced and now has a great smile to show off the end results. All of our procedures were relatively pain free and we were made as comfortable as possible. We have also had our teeth cleaned by the hygienist several times and were happy with the education she gave us on keeping our teeth and gums free of decay and disease. She also educated us on the proper instruments to use for the best results. I've had ok dentists in the past and with the great dental coverage we have, I had been paying thousands of out of pocket copays annually. Since I've been using Village One Dental, my co pays have been minimal. I highly recommend Village One Dental. read more
