I came here with some friends at night for some drinks. This place is a typical middle class neighborhood bar - think of the TV show Cheers. While it's nothing hip or fancy, the place is spacious and very clean. The bartenders that work there are very friendly too. Stopped in here to grab a quick bite on a Sunday evening. Seems like a neighborhood pub. Nicely lit inside. Hostess was very friendly and seated us right away. They have a broad menu. Lots to choose from. We got the spinach artichoke dip to start. I had some garlic Parmesan wings. Extra crispy. But a little too crispy. And my kid had the bacon avocado burger. The dip was good. Very cheesy but good. Served with enough chips to be full. The wings came out in a bed of grease that did not look appetizing at all. I had to put them on a napkin to take them out the plate of grease that they were sitting in, in order to eat them. They lacked in flavor. Bland and missed the mark. They looked delicious though. The fries that accompanied the burger weren't hot just like warm and weren't that great. The burger was flavorful and wasn't bad. The have a great variety of draft beers and bottle beer. Came in with some friends for a quick drink and we liked this place. We kept it simple with 3 of 4 of us having beers. One of our group had an old fashioned. We all enjoyed the vibe, although the music was a little loud to carry on a conversation. Having said that - the music selection was excellent while we were there. We love it here! We've been blessed enough that every time we come here, it's been consistently good. The Avocado salad is life! I wanna take the chef to my home to prepare it for me EVERYDAY! The Carolina Gold Wings, forget about it, absolute heaven and I can eat them everyday. Alex, the host/bartender/all around good-guy makes this place worth visiting. This is a great place to enjoy drinks and food in the neighborhood of Middle Village. I went there on a Saturday night and was pleased. Our waitress Brittany, and the manager, Joe, were friendly and prompt to our needs. We also met the owner, and they sent us a round of shots on them! We ordered flavorful wings, the chili was loaded and tasted smoked with good meats, and the grilled chicken and buffalo wraps were terrific too. This place is pretty scary. Ive only been here twice but both times i witnessed people get beaten in the middle of the bar area while kids were eating with their families. Bars are all about the personalities that you interact with esp the staff that will keep you returning for that pleasant contact with a vivacious engaging member. That's what happened on my visit on a Monday night when i went in with family to enjoy time with an IPA on my birthday. The manager said my dog wasn't welcome but i met his wonderful assistant manager Madison and proceeded to have a great visit. I will visit again before I leave and each time I come to visit again. i absolutely love the food here. my favorite meal are french fries, chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. the only thing i recently encountered was the fact that i went to order take out one day and the bartender told me "u need to leave and come back in 2 hours since the kitchen is closed" there seems to be mixed messages about this place. when it first re-opened from a re-branding due to new owners, the kitchen was always open and customers were always there and now they refuse to serve food until a certain hour hits. there are no signs that give "kitchen hours" and it bothers me badly because i shouldn't be to to leave a place that i am paying good money for to eat. any manager sees this review PUT UP A SIGN WITH KITCHEN HOURS SO PEOPLE DON'T GET THROWN OUT!!!!!! read more
