It was the most beautiful experience ever. Like all addicts. You know that it's not easy to stop just the first one. I went one or twice more tried to do it obviously I failed now I call that I am dialled in that I want to get my treatment and I'm in that headspace and I get told by I guess the supervisor that Jenna no longer will allow me to use my insurance to go see her that I need to pay $300 out-of-pocket every time I do because according to her I didn't follow her procedures to me. It sounds more like farming people with money than helping people it is crazy to me but it's all good now I know who and what type of person she is well I always knew what type of person she was and the things I've seen of her oof. They made me wait all month for my appointment and for me to come in, which is physically difficult to do on its own, to tell me they won't accept me as a patient. Now, days before my prescription expires, I have to scramble back to my referring doctor to renew my prescription. All the nurse practitioner offered me is suboxone for when I will inevitably go through withdrawal due to their carelessness. My previous pain management doctor has been transitioning all of his opiate clients out of his practice and referred me specifically to Dr. Kamlet because this is his speciality. I assumed there would be little issue. It's a real slap in the face, on top of already having come in last month to receive ketamine treatment for my back-pain and being turned away due to their practice not using ketamine to treat back-pain, which I explicitly explained to the receptionist that I would come in for over the phone. Traversing the ever-changing field of medical care regarding opioid pain medication is hard enough and painful enough without falling victim to this kind of careless and abusive mismanagement.

If you're looking for a dangerous, negligent psychiatric practice, look no further than Elevate…read morePsychiatry. My experience here has been filled with administrative incompetence, medical negligence, and a blatant disregard for patient care. This practice appears to prioritize profits over patient well-being, leaving itself wide open to legal liability. The issues began immediately with billing errors. I was repeatedly overcharged for visits due to misinformation about my co-pay, which required me to fight for refunds. While frustrating, this was just the beginning compared to the negligence in my psychiatric care. Dr. Sused Hidalgo prescribed a medication for my diagnosis, but when my insurance didn't cover it, the pharmacy suggested an alternative. She issued a new prescription within minutes--without reviewing my chart or evaluating if it was appropriate for my condition. When I raised concerns, I found out Elevate had never even obtained my medical records from my previous psychiatrist. Despite completing a HIPAA form and requesting the transfer myself, they failed to follow through. Dr. Hidalgo prescribed medication without access to my medical history, and when I pointed this out, she dismissed my concerns, stating we could "discuss it during the next visit." There was no accountability or acknowledgment of the potential harm caused by this negligence. In search of better care, I was assigned to Dr. Dolores ("Doly"). Her approach was even worse. Despite providing her with genetic testing results showing which medications would likely work for me, she dismissed them as mere "suggestions." When I reported severe side effects from her prescribed medications--worsening anxiety, sedation, and erratic behavior--she refused to adjust the treatment plan. Dr. Doly also made bizarre and offensive comments, such as: "Depressed people don't wear makeup. I recommend some women wear makeup to feel better." "I don't believe in bipolar II. Depression is just a side effect of bipolar, and I think you're bipolar I." Her assessments were conducted entirely via Telehealth, which is not permitted for diagnosing and treating complex conditions like bipolar disorder. This is unethical and a violation of medical guidelines. On July 12, I sent a detailed email to the owner, Mr. Bhatia, outlining these issues. Despite following up with voicemails, I never received a response. My last appointment was on October 31, and as of December 10, no one from the practice has reached out. This lack of follow-up makes it clear they only care about money, not their patients' health. Elevate Psychiatry's negligence includes: * Medical malpractice: Prescribing medications without proper evaluation or access to my medical records. * HIPAA violations: Failing to request or obtain my previous medical documentation. * Insurance fraud: Overcharging me despite confirmed coverage. * Negligent Telehealth practices: Diagnosing and treating complex conditions remotely without required in-person evaluations. This practice is not just incompetent, but dangerous. If you value your health, avoid Elevate Psychiatry. I have documented proof of every interaction to support my claims. I feel so strongly about advising others to avoid this practice that I have written multiple reviews across platforms, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and made two separate reports to the Florida Department of Health (DOH) and HIPAA. I want to be very clear that this is not slander, libel, harassment, or defamation. This is my honest experience, and my only intention in sharing it is to warn others and hope that Elevate Psychiatry will make serious changes to avoid causing harm to more patients.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Elevated Psychiatry. Over the past two…read moreweeks, I had two therapy appointments scheduled, and in both cases, no one showed up. Last week, I waited in the virtual room for over an hour, but no one joined the session or reached out to explain why the appointment wasn't happening. Then, yesterday, I waited on the phone for half an hour for another pre-scheduled therapy session, and again, nobody joined. In August, I had an appointment with Carla and was informed that the cost would be $129, which I agreed to pay upfront. I joined the virtual meeting on time, but after waiting 15 minutes, the secretary finally joined just to collect the payment. Only after I paid did the doctor appear, and she informed me we had only 15 minutes left. That was barely enough time to even start discussing whether I needed any medication, and the session was rushed. Afterward, I received a bill for $428, which was clearly incorrect. I had to waste time calling them to get the error corrected, and they finally charged me $129. But even that felt unfair because I didn't receive the 30-minute evaluation I was eligible for. The appointment didn't result in any meaningful progress other than scheduling another session with a different therapist. To make matters worse, there's been no explanation or apology for the missed appointments, and it's almost impossible to get in touch with anyone to resolve these issues. It's incredibly discouraging to seek help for mental health only to be treated this poorly. Their unprofessionalism has only added more stress to my situation, and I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone.

I'd been following The Maercks Institute's "Facial Balancing" transformations on Instagram for…read moreyears, and the before-and-after results always left me amazed. I promised myself that if I ever moved beyond Botox, it would only be with Dr. Maercks. So when my boyfriend asked what I wanted for my birthday, without hesitation I blurted out, "Facial Rebalancing!" He obvy had no idea what I was talking about, and once I explained, he was definitely not on board. But I persisted, and eventually he agreed. When I scheduled my consultation, I went ahead and booked the procedure too, treating the consult as nothing more than a formality. THAT'S how certain I was about this! The day of the virtual consultation began with Dr. Maercks' very sweet PA asking about my medical history and what I hoped to achieve. I told her I'd been avoiding fillers because I was terrified of looking puffy, overdone, or not like myself, but in recent years I'd lost noticeable volume under my eyes, and I really wanted to restore that. While we were at it, I mentioned a couple of other small areas I might consider addressing. She reassured me I was in the best hands and then brought Dr. Maercks onto the call. Here's where things went left. As soon as the doctor appeared on the call, he seemed extremely impatient, constantly glancing at his phone, his watch, or papers on his desk, but rarely at me. I felt rushed, like he couldn't be bothered. I had sent in photos of my face a few days before (front and profile), and he opened with: "Okay, I hear what you want. We can go two ways. The first is what I would do if I were you, the most natural, best result, longest lasting. The second is the compromise if that's too much for you." I was still curious, still excited to hear the options until he looked me dead in the eye and said the best choice for me, a just-turned-47-year-old woman who's never had filler, was a full deep-plane FACELIFT & oh yeah, prices started at $30,000. Ummmm... Mind you, I assumed he'd reviewed the notes from his PA stating I'd avoided fillers because I was terrified of looking overdone, puffy or unnatural and his "expert advice" was to jump straight from me wanting a little under-eye filler to recommending a full surgical facelift?!?! I honestly felt sick. When I told him that was absolutely not something I was comfortable with, he shrugged it off and said, essentially, "Fine, then fillers." But when I asked how much, his version of "Facial Rebalancing" required 16-22 vials. For context, based on my own research, I had expected maybe 3-4: one vial under the eyes (enough for both sides), another, maybe 2 for the nasolabial folds, and perhaps one more for chin balance. But 22?!? His number was outrageous. The whole time, his demeanor SCREAMED apathy & impatience, like I was wasting his time. Certainly NOT what one would hope for with a medical professional. It was such a horrible, disheartening experience! Thankfully, I'm confident in how I look and was clear about what I did & did not want. But I kept thinking: if I had been more insecure, he could have easily convinced me to spend $30,000-$50,000 on procedures I didn't need. And that's terrifying. Needless to say, as soon as we got off the call, I called his office back to cancel my procedure appointment . After some more research, I finally settled on the absolute angel that is Dr. Shasa Hu at UM Dermatology. Dr. Hu's is a queen & I look EXACTLY how I had hoped & will strictly be going to her for any facial needs.

During a follow-up video call, I also overheard him refer to me as "not that smart" to his staff when he believed I was on mute, which was both unprofessional and disrespectful. There was a clear lack of transparency throughout the process, especially regarding realistic expectations. I was charged $17,000 for what was presented as significant length and girth enhancement, yet I experienced no meaningful length improvement. Since then, he has been unresponsive to my calls and messages regarding these concerns and a potential refund. I ultimately sought care from Dr. Amy Pearlman, who helped treat the complications and guided my recovery over several months. She later performed the same type of procedure with significantly more care, transparency, and professionalism--resulting in a much better outcome at a fraction of the cost. In my experience, while Dr. Maerck presents himself well and is very persuasive, the quality of care, follow-up, and results did not meet expectations.

LOCATION- the office is located in a large intersection- the Regions Bank Building on 36th and Biscayne so its impossible to miss it! Parking is free and offices are tidy! STAFF- the reason why i chose this DR to begin with was the service i got over the phone- i went through a list of places and most places had really unprofessional and rude receptionists- at which case i hung up and tried a different number until BINGO! i hit this office. The receptionist is very polite and soft spoken. She is very professional and just a pleasure to speak to! Very nice and friendly -first PLUS! I did wait a little longer than usual but the front desk young lady told me that my insurance was having technical difficulties and she couldn't get in touch with them. They had a nice big flat screen TV in the reception which made my wait barely noticeable. DR- She is extremely nice and polite. So genuinely concerned and listened to all my crazy rants and medical history ups and downs. She was very receptive to all my comments and offered great advice and even helped me with recommendations on other specialists i should see. She even had the front desk girl make copies with specialist information and wrote referrals so i wouldn't have any problems with my insurance covering my services. She also took down the names of all my prescription meds and found cheaper alternatives and then sent them directly to my pharmacy so i wouldn't even have to bother dropping them off WOW! this place is really amazing and understands people and how to take care of them and their needs. I would most definitely recommend this place 100%
