Highland Gaelic -- finest beer made in this state. Willing to argue this if necessary.
Mike M.

Let's talk about positives first. The beer selection suits me. I also like the general feel of the place; it's not stuffy at all. But it can get a little loud in here, more so than you'd expect from what I first expected to be a relaxed neighborhood bar. What's disappointing though is the service. Not that it's consistently bad, but it gets that way pretty frequently. I often feel forgotten about by the staff. And even when they are taking orders and such, the bartenders are lifeless and unwelcoming. A bar like this should be exactly the opposite, or so I expect. Would it hurt for the help to say a nice word or two, maybe even converse a little? So what could be a cool place to hang out is instead just a mediocre experience, and that's a shame.

Bar area in the distance, dart boards to the left and pool tables to the right.

I was out with friends and we ended up here to hang out and have some drinks. It was busy as it was a Saturday night. We paid the $5 cover since there was a band about to start. The service at the bar was quick especially since the place was packed. We made our way towards the back of the business to a vacant table by the dart boards. We played several rounds of darts and then onto shoot pool. Both the dart boards and pool tables were in very nice condition. The band playing was very good. They played a mix of 80's and 90's covers but had a kind of punk/alternative twist to it. The crowd was mixed with twenty somethings to probably mid 60's people. Overall a nice place to spend a Saturday night.

First time visiting Village Square Tap House, and I can say that I am happy with this place. First of all, they don't serve food. That's usually a problem, especially since it is located in a shopping center where I found no food trucks. But I called and they said that we could bring food. That's a huge bonus, so I swung by a take-out place and got a sandwich. The beer menu is enormous, and it has a lot of interesting variety. They also have a wine and bourbon menu with a lot of the selections one would expect to find there. As far as features, things to do, they have pool tables, darts, and live music. So in terms of a classy, spacious, and well-lit place to go meet people or play a game, they have it all covered. The staff at the bar were friendly and punctual... what more can be said.

Good pool tables, space to watch a game and eat or have a beer. Lots of arcade games in the next room, spacious bar area.

I ordered the Cajun Cod Wrap from their weekly specials menu after seeing the photo they posted on Facebook. It looked good but what I received was a total disappointment. It looked nothing like the picture. First of all, it was tiny. I honestly thought I'd been given a kid's meal. It was that small. And for $15? It definitely wasn't worth the price. Second, the wrap was only filled halfway, with the rest of it being mostly tortilla. Finally, I took a bite and couldn't taste any Cajun seasoning at all. I let my husband and son each try a bite as well and neither of them could taste any Cajun either. We rarely complain about our food but this time we had to. Our server was incredibly kind and immediately agreed that it looked nothing like it should. She went to get the manager but another staff member came over because the manager was busy. He was also very friendly, understanding and agreed that what I received wasn't right. He offered to either remove it from our bill or let me order something else. I chose the street tacos because I know those are always good. I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally they handled the situation. That said, something similar happened before when I ordered from their weekly specials menu so I've decided I won't be ordering from it again. I'll be sticking to their regular menu from now on.

Vegetarians seem to be forgotten by many otherwise-great chefs, and to actually be acknowledged is wonderful. Let me offer the following, with respect and only constructive intent: Statistics indicate that the vast majority of current vegetarians are former meat-eaters, myself included. And here's the thing -- when we get a craving for a burger, what we're mostly craving is the flavor and texture of a "real" hamburger. Your veggie burger was good, and again, the effort was most appreciated. But it was just a good sandwich. It didn't satisfy my hamburger craving. Usually an Impossible Burger or a Beyond Burger works just fine, and would probably save you a lot of trouble. - The mac n cheese side was delish, 5 stars. - Give this place a try. Really great folks.

We sampled a little bit of everything: the hot vanilla lattes, the Cubano, the cortado, and an almond croissant that tasted like it floated straight down from pastry heaven. Every single item was a flawless 10/10. The staff? Exceptionally warm and welcoming. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner--genuine, kind, and clearly passionate about the craft. The barista was equally lovely, adding to the charm of the whole experience. And the ambiance... wow. I ordered the usual coffee shop, staple: and oat milk iced mocha latte. I asked for about half of the usual mocha they put in it, but I don't think that it was enough because I could barely taste the chocolate. When I go back, I will get the full serving of chocolate. Other than that, the coffee was delicious and satisfying. My friend got a cappuccino that he said was excellent as well. The place had the most beautiful aroma of freshly roasted coffee. Neither of us got anything to eat, but they did have a couple of options. I'm pretty sure one of them was a croissant of some sort and we will have to try that when we go back.
