However, I think many of the negative reviews you see at various vape shops are likely overdramatized. I've been vaping forever, so I can't relate too much to new people looking for advice. However, to those looking for a place to stock up locally, this place was able to get the job done for me. Simple transaction: I call ahead asking if they have Horizon Falcon M1+ coils. Guy says yes. I show up 20ish minutes later. I would've bought 10 boxes, but they only had 4. No biggie! I ask to take all 4, and ask if they happen to have Aspire Breeze NXT coils. Despite those being tough to find recently, they DID have 3 boxes. I take all of those as well. Dude was friendly... said "Glad we could help you out with these. Sorry we didn't have more." I say "No worries, I'll just do the same thing and call ahead next time I need to restock." Again, simple. Was it as cheap as the online vendors I used to purchase from? No. Was I expecting it to be? No. Was I expecting a small independent shop to carry a buttload of one specific coil? I had some hope, but no I'm not surprised they only kept a few boxes of my favorite crap around. Frankly, I'm just glad someone keeps a decent supply on hand so that I didn't have to run all the way down to my last coil, and I didn't have to drive to the other side of the city either. After calling 2 other west side shops and hearing them explain how they didn't have squat in stock, I'd call THIS transaction a success. I'll be hitting them up in a few months to hopefully re-stock to a larger degree next time. No theatrics, no drama.

He explained to me that all cigars in the shop were their own. I requested a particular type and he recommended Corojo. He offered to cut it for me. As I lit it later, I was pleased. I'll be back.

When the (very) occasional hankering for a cigar comes my way, or I am going to a party (in the before times) where I know cigars will be appreciated, a stop at Santiago's always leaves me smiling. This place has EVERYTHING. I was first introduced to the team here at Santiago's during the Blackfriars production of Anna in the Tropics, where we had live cigar rolling for some of the evening shows. They have the expertise and a huge breadth of experience to answer your questions, and provide you with the exact celebratory smoke you're looking for. I tend to go for the alcohol infused/scented cigar options, as I am usually enjoying a cigar alongside a celebratory drink of some kind. My partner and I adore the Makers Mark cigar, and I am a sucker for anything red wine infused. They do custom bands for events, live rolling, and have nice detailed descriptions of their cigars on their website. If you are new to cigars, this is the absolute best place to dive in for the first time. Such helpful staff members with literally zero judgement, they are there to guide you along the way. They will cut for you if desired and send you on your way! They weren't open (yet) when my cigar craving hit this morning, but I am looking forward to stopping by ASAP and grabbing some goodies to enjoy here at home. Much to love to this amazing shop!

Update 10/2023 I'm…read morebeginning to think they built a bar to create the illusion of "our liquor license is coming next week". This charade has gone on for over a year now. At first it was endearing and hopeful, but I think it's a rouse. These empty promises are made worse by the enforcement of a local policy that you must buy one of their cigars from the humidor to actually smoke there (at inflated prices plus 40% tax), or buy a private membership. The 2 local goons sitting there made it perfectly clear I wasn't welcome unless I complied. As a business traveler just looking for good company and to enjoy a cigar would find zero value in that proposition. It's not surprising Nick's is empty. I don't predict a bright future here. I'll take my business to other establishments nearby that get the bigger picture and understand how the attract and retain business.
