Triangle Vinyl is a great place to seek out a couple of records and there is something definitely cool about wandering and just flipping through the records. Maybe it is a sign of getting older when you find yourself yearning for the times that you knew in your yesterdays and you find yourself believing those times were the best. Regardless of it being that I am getting older or whatever the case, I found my time here at Triangle Vinyl made me recall those bygone days. Triangle Vinyl is a fantastic business to head towards and spend a bit of time in there. I will give it five stars overall.

Love the concept of being able to order a drink and sit and listen to music (playing on their speakers - you don't choose it) and just browse records. They have a huge selection of used records, but you definitely have to come with patience to look through every single bin to see if you might find a gem or some thing that you want to add to your collection. Unfortunately for us that's not how we like to shop. Might work for others, but just not us. We also felt like many of the records were truly vintage.

I could not believe how much the store has expanded over the years, including an annex two doors down that houses thousands of CDs. The amount of inventory here is almost overwhelming in the best possible way. As a music collector, it honestly felt like I had died and gone to heaven. No matter what genre you enjoy, there is an incredible amount to explore. I was especially excited to find a large selection of leftover Record Store Day titles, including two rare releases that I was thrilled to add to my collection. I also came across many original pressings of 1980s LPs and 12" singles, along with a huge number of CDs in the annex, including several out-of-print titles that are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Everywhere I looked, there were hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Atlantic Sounds is the kind of record store where you could easily spend an entire day -- or several days -- browsing and still not see everything they have to offer. I am so glad to see how much they have grown and expanded since my last visit. It remains an absolute paradise for music lovers and collectors.

Groovy Records also sells new and used turntables, guitars, basses, ukuleles, amp's, music accessories such as guitar strings, banners, other memorabilia, and a variety of instructional music books for piano, guitar, and other instruments. I found a few used CDs in decent condition (with original inserts) for $1 each, which is a great deal. I'm not a Vinyl collector, mainly because I just don't have the room to store them. One thing I noticed while I was here is that two of my all-time favorite bands, Mercyful Fate and Iron Maiden Vinyls were a bit pricy. I'm not sure if it's because they are from the original production during that era or if they are just hard to come by. Mercyful Fate's Don't Break the Oath is selling for $175 and Melissa is selling for $150. Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast is selling for $100. Damn, I'm a big fan, but I couldn't justify spending that much money on a Vinyl. Alternatively, not everything here is that expensive. They are selling many other great Vinyl's in the $10-$20 price range. If you are shopping in the area, I definitely recommend stopping in to see if you can find a deal.

Although I was familiar with the Market at Marion, I'd never taken the time to explore it. When I finally discovered Vinyl Explosion last year, I was both thrilled--and a bit irritated--that I hadn't visited sooner. Since that first trip, I've returned more than ten times, and without fail, I always walk out with something special. The owner, Kurt, is highly knowledgeable about music and greets every customer with genuine enthusiasm. He gives a helpful overview of the layout, points out new arrivals, and is always available to assist with whatever you need. The store is packed with an exceptional variety of vinyl, along with a large selection of CDs, cassettes, posters, and other music-related finds. Best of all, the pricing is refreshingly fair. While many shops have inflated their prices, Kurt maintains honest, reasonable pricing across the board. The vinyl ranges from very good to mint condition, with the covers in great shape. There's also an enormous $1 section where you can find some old gems. Vinyl Explosion has quickly become my favorite record store in Florida. Whether you're a casual collector, a seasoned audiophile, or simply someone who appreciates a friendly, well-organized shop filled with great music, this place is absolutely worth the trip.
