Beautiful place. I definitely enjoyed living there. Whenever I placed a work order for maintenance it would get done within a few days. I never experienced any issue with the staff. One negative thing was that I did not get my deposit back even though I left the apartment in good condition where it needed minimal cleaning. They had me pay them more on top of them keeping my deposit. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of living at Villaggio for a few years, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. At first the manager who was on property was amazing and helpful at all times, but apparently is no longer there and now the new manager at this very moment, is utterly incompetent and rude. Here's why this place deserves zero or 1 star: The maintenance requests were often ignored or half-heartedly addressed. It took weeks for basic repairs, and even then, the manager would not answer my calls or questions upon requests of maintenance. Communication was horrible as we would try to reach to anyone in the management office was a joke. The main manager who I won't say her name was rarely available and never returned calls or emails promptly--if at all. The assistant manager who is fairly new does a better job at communicating. They promise amenities and improvements that never materialize. It's all just a facade to lure in unsuspecting tenants. Please be aware before applying that they will tell you one thing at first to sign and then won't help after. I've never felt so disrespected as a tenant. The main manager on property spoke down to residents and does not make enough effort to help us. The security of the complex is a joke. There were multiple instances of break-ins and vandalism, yet nothing was done to improve security measures. In summary, living at Villaggio was a constant source of stress and disappointment at the end. The new management is the epitome of unprofessionalism and neglect. Renter Beware! A lot of glitz and glitter when you're shown around but all that washes off once you move in. Dirty unit that I had to clean upon move-in, maintenance issue after issue, all of which they tried to make me believe I created. If you like listening to your upstairs neighbor do their daily living, then this is the place for you. The interior of the community was likely quiet, but do not move to the perimeter. The trash areas were usually unkept and gross. They said "no dogs" unless service animals, but there were dozens of dogs on property (none that I saw were service dogs). The management is lovely to your face, but corporate at heart, so trust as far as you can see them. And be prepared to be charged for everything at move-out, including a few holes in the walls, a few specks of dirt on a window blind and cleaning (even if you've cleaned). I did make some nice friends there in the other residents, but that's why this is a 2-star review instead of only one. read more

This is a NICE property.. But management sucks there and they raise the rent after a year. So be warned it's nice but you're better off pulling a mortgage out and getting a house/condo locally. Nothing against this place just an honest review for future potential renters. read more

She is a sugar coat, she will say yes to you on everything to get you in ONE year lease then thing will change after you move in. Beautifully renovated, Villagio has really stepped up it's game. Now a complex that matches it's location of La Quinta and it's surrounding upscale country clubs. Recent renovations include new vibrant landscaping on the grounds and pool area, added functional training equipment in the fitness center which is now open 24 hours and updated design of the common areas. The front desk staff is incredible with an amazing care and compassion for residents providing a welcome atmosphere for one to call Villagio home. read more

This apartments can be the best living experience however, management is extremely petty and micromanaging. It's extremely strict. You have to pay for parking. They have ridiculous rules. Aside from the overbearing management; it is clean, safe, great amenities, scenic and maintenance is on top of it. read more

I rent it for two months, overall my stay in Villagio, I have to tell you, never seen any shader management staff than these people in any places Their staff lie right on your face. they charge as much as they could for non-tenants issues, and when they tell you moving out date; right after they change their mind so that they could charge for whole month instead of designated date. My a month stay there, I mean I keep it like a cleaned dish (carpet, wall, kichen, not even a spot), but they took all my deposit for a whole month instead of 7 days and so much for cleaning. Oh, where should I begin? Upon first moving in, I thought this place was great. It's beautifully maintained, there's a pool, a gym, a cute little yoga room and everyone seems so nice. 3 months later... Let us not forget that beautifully maintained flowers/plants/grass require a lot of work, and that work is NOT quiet and it is constant. It also promptly starts around 8am Along with maintained landscape, comes the maintenance of the apartment. I have never lived in an apartment that had so many things wrong with it. They had to come in to our apartment 3 times in one month. But seriously, it's once a month some change or inspection has to be done. I mean, I understand maintenance, but I like to be there if a stranger is entering my home so it makes it rather inconvenient. Or if you still have napping kids. The pool... The same people are there at the same time every day "exercising" or socializing, and they will be sure to add you into the convo along with prodding questions. The gym is sweet as long as you are the only one there. Good luck with that. My fiancé accidentally parked in a reserved spot and let's just say that niceness of the neighbors must have worn off. There are resident "watch dogs" that won't hesitate to call the front desk on you immediately. The neighbors are out walking their dogs or sitting on their patios at all times of the day. I find nothing wrong with that, BUT the fact that we are all in such close promixity makes every pass by a conversational event. In addition,It is a little awkward when you go out on your patio to enjoy the weather/sunset/moon/etc and you get a face full of your neighbor giving you the stare down. You can not leave your house without coming into contact with several different people every time and it does not matter what time it is. In conclusion, though the ladies at the front office and maintenance guys are extremely nice, if you value your privacy or are a more private person, do NOT live here (you can hear when neighbors flush the toilet or shower, among many other things), if you have children, do NOT live here, and definitely don't live anywhere but the first floor. If you are not an animal lover, do not live here. (Everyone has a dog. And dogs have to use the bathroom too. Enjoy "urine alley" the select pathways about the complex that reek of dog urine basking in the hot sun all day. Or you could be like our friend who has a lady living underneath him and allows her dog to pee/poop on the patio. He no longer uses his patio.) The carpet grosses me out... It's not the best quality. My apartment was not painted two toned after being told it would be, I moved in to a white apartment with flat paint. Carpet and paint are my two biggest pet peeves. That's why I'm only giving 3 stars. Other than that, quiet place to live and I feel really safe. read more

Since the new management this place has gotten worse... after the power outage our starewell light was out, I have a 2 yr old son I have to walk up /carry up the stairs...pitch black ....fed ex left a package at the door..tripped and almost ate it! While holding my son. I called management immediately, took them 1 week to replace it!!!! I would be happier if they terminated my lease. Oh and the carpet is horrible. Do not move here!!!!! I was not allowed to view the apartment prior to signing contract and found a huge patched area of the carpeting in middle of the room. The maintenance person that did this obviously did not know what he was doing and it is a crappy piece of work. I have lived here for 4 months now and finally got someone to come over and clean the patio that was completely overlooked prior to move in. When they did, they left black marks on the carpeting. This will get cleaned, but does not take away the patch I have to look at every single day. Management refused to move me to a suitable apartment, refund my deposit or replace the carpeting while I am still a tenant. I am completely screwed and so will you if you move here. read more

My parents just moved in and the staff here is wonderful. In fact because of how nice they are and everything they did to make my parent feel welcome this is why they signed They change the carpet for brand new wood floors. Put in a new kitchen faucet. Added towel bars in the bathrooms. Added safety bar to tub. And on and on Beautiful and we'll kept. New and spacious. Quite and beautiful apartments. I was interested in these apartments because my sister had previously lived there for a couple years. My issue was is not with the property as it is such a nice place but with the office managers. At the time I applied I was told that there were two apartments becoming available. One of the ladies in the office told me to take in my pay stubs. I had about 2 months working at my new job. Previous employment I had worked for more than 5 years, new job opportunity. She said this would be an issue. Told me if she needed anything else, she would give me a call. The date they told me the apartment would become available got closer and I still haven't heard anything from them. I would call and nobody would answer. Finally, they picked up and when I asked for any updates, she told me there was no file for me!! Told me she would talk to the other office manager and would get back to me. She never did. I kept calling and no answer. I went to the office during my lunch break. I called two more times on my way there. I got there and both office managers were sitting there on their desks. I asked about my file and they apologized. Then informed me that the next available apartments would be till next year. My co-worker had been at work for less than a month and got an apartment the next month. read more

I've lived in this community for over three years and I have never had any major issues or concerns. The staff is helpful and friendly. I have lived in other apartment complexes in the area and Villaggio has by far offered the most comfort. The only issues I have is the poor cell phone coverage while indoors and the dog poop that litters the otherwise beautiful landscape. Of course the staff is unable to do anything to improve cell phone reception and it's mainly the residents responsibility to pick up after their dogs. But maybe a daily walk-through of the grounds to pickup dog poop is what's needed to keep this place clean because it seems SOME pet owners are unwilling to do it themselves. read more

The Villaggio Apartments at La Quinta- is not what is seems- I say this because along with paying rent management also charges additional fees which increases the rent one pays. We're very disappointed and are going to move out soon. I don't recommend renting at the Villaggio- one is better off owning than throwing money away or giving ones hard own money to corporations that don't need it...
