A faulty, non-code-compliant water-heater installation led to mold / water damage, forcing our family to live elsewhere for over two weeks. The City of La Quinta issued a Cease-and-Desist / Stop Work Order, yet management still charges full rent and utilities while part of our home remains sealed off under a mold-containment tent. We've received no lab results or proof that our unit is habitable, and communication from management has been nearly nonexistent. This is unacceptable and unsafe for any paying tenant. We are reserving all rights under California Civil Code § 1941.1 and § 1942, which require landlords to keep units habitable and give tenants remedies when they do not. The suns rays hit the pool just perfectly even in the winter you can sunbathe. The trees and plants around are also beautiful. Maitenance issues are addressed and management is professional. I feel lucky to have lived here. I have for many years and this has been my experience.

It by far has been the best place I have ever lived and felt so much at home. From my very first visit into the leasing office which is gorgeous and straight out the glass doors the beautiful view of the pools and water fountain. The manager Angie and her entire team represent the property very well. Clearly she takes pride in the role that she has and each of her leasing agents are very kind and polite. When I was looking for a place I didn't want a brand new built complex because I prefer to be surrounded with lush trees and landscaping. If you enjoy taking walks and be as surrounded with beautiful trees and plants to calm your nerves in this crazy world you can't go wrong here. All my friends visit me every summer because it feels like a small resort to them. It really is beautiful here. The other night we just had our 2024 resident holiday party. I don't know of any other complex that does this for the residents. Once again we had music entertainment fresh catered food and they raffled off gifts. It's a great way to get the residents together and we enjoy ourselves. I know Angie and her team does not need to do this to show their appreciation but we do appreciate it each year. If you're looking for a place to live the moment you drive into the complex and see the beautiful water fountain and the beautiful flowers you know that they care for the grounds beautifully and they care for their residents you can't go wrong beautiful location beautiful grounds and a great team to support you. We moved to Palm Desert from L.A in 2022, and lived at the Regent for two years. The apartments are…read morenice enough. The grounds could be truly beautiful if only the residents weren't so trashy. Literally. I've never lived in a community where it was common practice for residents to pile trash bags outside their front door for days on end. Too lazy to walk them to the dumpsters. Ew! There are wonderfully convenient Dog Waste stations everywhere, yet the grass and walkways are always filled with poop. When I had asked the leasing agent if The Regent was a Smoke Free community she said "Yes. Absolutely!" She lied. Not only do more than half the residents smoke on their patios and balconies, but they smoke WEED. And a lot of them like to begin their morning at 8am smoking a bong. So, if you like to have your windows open, your apartment will smell like cigarettes and weed. Because there isn't a playground, residents' children run around kicking soccer balls at their neighbors' walls. Basically, The Regent could really be quite idyllic (beautiful grassy areas, pools, and tennis courts) if only the residents weren't so inconsiderate and tacky.

We didn't have an appointment, we were just a walk-in at the very end of the day, because the leasing agent from another complex (Modern Cactus) didn't show up to our appointment. Michael happily took us in even though he had a crazy day with back to back appointments. Michael is kind, friendly, funny, and very obviously loves his job. He is very attuned to a persons body language, and he can tell if you absolutely love the unit or if you aren't thrilled about it, and at the end of the tour he asks you opened ended questions about how you are feeling/ to see if he can find a unit that better suits you. He also tries to get you the best possible deals that he can. I loved that he didn't pressure us at all, as he knows how important it is for a tenant to be happy with their living space. Ultimately, with heavy heart we decided not to go with desert boutique and villa boutique because of money reasons (I am a student, so we decided it was better to go with a less nice place and save a bit of money). But I would recommend Michael and Desert/ Villa boutique to anyone looking for a gorgeous apartment in palm springs! 10/10 customer service from Michael!!! He is the hardest working leasing agent I have ever met.

I want to commend the maintenance staff for their rapid response to my repair needs, especially MARIO MENDOZA. As soon as he got my repair request--he was on it and he made sure everything was perfect before he left my unit. He's amazing! The office staff is amazing . They are people that really care for their tenants specially Patty who always goes above and beyond for the tenants. She has always been welcoming and helpful with any needs that we might have. She has very good people skills and makes you feel like family. She always greets us with a huge smile. It wouldn't be wise to loose any of them as they are always there for us. I wouldn't think of a better place to live in the heart of Palm desert. I always reccomend it to people looking for an affordable place to live where it's peaceful and well kept. The tennis courts are not available at the moment. This place has pools , jacuzzis and a play ground for our kids , basket ball and volley ball area. It's an amazing place to live.

kind and knowledgeable staff was on the waitlist for a year and a half working and commuting from…read moreDHS, once I called after a year they said they would call me back and never did, (I assumed my name hadn't come up yet) called after a year and a half and they found me on the waitlist they had misspelled my original name (they got my phone number correct I think) they helped me get all my paperwork in order and we moved in within a month (the office is ran by something like 3-5 people and they all seem to have plenty of work to do to fill a full time work week) they were polite and friendly responding to emails in a timely manner with all the care and consideration me and my wife could ever ask for in a benevolent landlord. the property used to have security guards that patrolled the lot 24/7 now they don't but this neighborhood is amazing with more sheriff patrols than any other city i have ever lived in so we are definitely just as safe as we were before. this is a huge apartment complex but the staff here clearly love what they do and have yet to let me down, they can be a little late in unlocking the laundry rooms and pool areas in the morning but that is to be expected in a huge complex such as this. there is nothing but opportunity here as long as you have income and want to remain productive this is probably the best option as far as apartments are concerned. Nice neighbors and the friendliest residents, close to Walmart and the Palm Desert mall, One quail has Parks with play areas and slides for children, tennis courts, basketball court, pools & jacuzzis, and laundry rooms. 10/10 would recommend

I have been renting for over a year now from this community and I have loved nearly every aspect of…read moreit; location, price, the onsite maintenance, the amenities and some of the new improvements that have been made (i.e. new paint for all buildings). What I don't like and what would cause me to never rent inside of a community such as this in the future is the 'Homeowner's Association'. The entrance gates and call panel have been broken on more than one occasion and no one can be contacted after hours as the only contact does not even have a voicemail setup. And, don't ever lose a pool key or gate reader as it will cost $100 or more to replace.

UPDATE [April 2025]: Correcting management's claims: I sued the property owner (Prism Arenas Road,…read moreLP), NOT the collection agency, and WON (Case #SCPS2400951, Palm Springs Courthouse, Dept PS4). The judgment remains UNPAID. You didn't "correct" my move-out statement - you based calculations on the wrong deposit amount ($750 vs $1050) and charged unallowable fees under California Civil Code 1950.5 for cleaning ($280), carpet cleaning ($175), and touch-up paint ($90), along with many other errors. You stonewalled me for months then sent me to collections. The debt STILL remains on my credit report despite my court victory. If you truly "wish me the best," contact National Credit Systems to remove this false debt you are responsible for. They won't, despite having received my judgment. Your claim of being "eager to help" is contradicted by your actions - ignoring my communications for months and not showing up to court to defend your charges. For those concerned about similar treatment, check other reviews here on Yelp describing identical situations. You can message me directly on this site. I'd be happy to help. I've filed a complaint with the CFPB and continue fighting to clear my credit. It shouldn't take over a year of court proceedings to clear my name for debt I never owed. The treatment from this property is not only scandalous, it's shameful. Consider how many former tenants don't have the time to write reviews or the resources to fight back and simply accept the financial loss. If their claim against me hadn't been SO outrageous, I might have done just that, just to be done with it. But why should they get away with illegal charges and false calculations? And who wants to spend over a year in court for a security deposit? I hope others can benefit from my experience and save themselves the hassle. See my Equifax credit report below. Their debt collection agency refuses to remove this debt despite my court judgement. I moved out April 10 2024. I've disputed the debt, provided my judgment, yet it's still there because the collection agency refuses to correct it. Apparently it stays on your credit report for 7 YEARS!!! A debt I never owed, as confirmed by a judge. I continue to pay the price, even a year later, for the "mistakes" of Cannon Management. Unacceptable.
