Worst burrito EVER. red sauce by DuPont. Guacamole was good that's about it. It's a shame. They should invest in homemade red sauce.

I noticed the prices were…read moreabsolutely crazy but I decided to take the financial hit as I would have had to drive another 10min in the opposite direction in pretty poor driving conditions to get to another store. I went to the check out and after loading everything on the belt I handed her my ID and the woman at the counter said I could not buy alcohol because my ID was vertical (still over the age of 21). I asked if that's a new law or something because I've never heard of that (I knew for a fact it wasn't) and she said it was. I then asked if a passport would work and she told me yes. I then pulled out my passport and handed it to her and she looked at my passport longer than U.S. customs. after about 5min she asked me for my birthday and I told her and then looked back down at the passport for another minute or so. She then handed my passport back to me and said they could not sell me alcohol because my beard is longer than it is in my passport picture. I then asked what other forms of ID they accept and she told me a school ID with picture and birthday or a pilot's license. Little did she know I had both of those in my back pocket. I handed them to her and I could tell she was getting angry. She looked over them again and once again asked what my birthday was. I respond "still (insert date here)" which gathered a chuckle from the bagger and the guy behind me. She then said they couldn't serve me because my school ID spelled my name wrong (it didn't). I was getting pretty fed up and didn't want to cause scene so I just gave up. TLDR; this place requires a retina scan, fingerprint verification, and birth certificate to purchase alcohol. This isn't the only issue I've had with this store or this woman but is the most recent. I will never return to this store.

Nice grocery store albeit dated. Must either be fun or boring around here with all the beer, wine and meads.

A Pershing/Persian is a doughnut that is similar to a cinnamon roll but is made with doughnut batter. Meijer has had a plethora of Persian varieties lately, with one of them going for a cookies and cream vibe. The surface of this pastry contains a whipped cream-like frosting with miniscule chocolate cookie pieces. Due to their small size, the crumbles don't add any texture but do add a faint chocolate flavor to the creamy topping. One mini-OREO cookie can be found within the topping as the finishing touch. The cinnamon flavor of the pastry's body is sweet and relatively subtle with no uncomfortable burning/heat to it. Cinnamon granules can be seen in the dough after taking a few bites if you look closely enough. I found the dough to have a nice thick and chewy texture while also being light and pillowy. Initially I had some trepidation as the topping did not appear very thick, which concerned me because the topping to pastry ratio would be way off. Although I still think it could have been a little thicker, the ratio was sufficient for the most part. Like the majority of the doughnuts I've consumed from Meijer, it's Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews
