Javier was awesome to work with and it's nice to see the owner picking up a tool and getting in there too. All the guys were knowledgeable and were very nice too, which makes it easy. Cannot say enough nice things about Javier and his crew. I would hope my contracting crew comes off this good. We had a very overgrown house, many years/decades. The bushes, hedges, and mainly the 100+ foot trees needed some serious work. They handled it great and took care of the neighbors properties too. I didn't have to walk through it all each day, it just got done and done to what I think is the right way. They put plywood where it's necessary to protect things and are careful when limbs drop. You can't even tell that they were here besides the yard, trees, and the property, looking great. It was a multiple day job, each day they all were nice, worked hard, and got it done efficiently. Everything they cut looks natural and not just trimmed without care like our other guys, it seemed very selective and not willy nilly. They all went above and beyond what we expected. They were not the cheapest option, but Javier seemed knowledgable, trustworthy, and like he could handle the job from the get go and estimate. They weren't that far out from the cheap guys either, definitely more, but I am so glad I chose this company vs just the cheapest. Pastor Villatoro was very responsive to my messages through Yelp. We agreed to have him remove my Navel Blood Orange and set up an appointment. Since the tree was planted in a brick planter, a machine could not be used, but it has to be excavated by pick and shovel. I was impressed that the stump was removed in less than half of the quoted estimated time. The area was cleaned up and ready for me to plant a fruit tree that my dog is not allergic to. I have been putting off having my fruit trees pruned for ages, but after seeing Javier's work on Next Door, I finally got around to submitting a request for a quote on Villatoro's website. Javier popped by my house the very same day to have a look and discuss what I wanted (structural pruning and an expert's assessment on what to do about a leaning guava tree). I was able to schedule him the same week and they ended up pruning both fruit trees, cleaned up the yard and everything was done in less than an hour and a half ($275). I messaged javier on yelp for a quote. He came the next day with a price and how long it would take. It was for 6 plants that kinda grew too tall as well as our front lawn. Originally was for 8am but it was the holiday so he came 8:30am and that was fine with me. Around the time his dad and one of their workers came to the house and got started right away. They ended up working for 3 hours and I can say we will call them again if the trees get too tall for some maintenance. We had an out of control Grevillea bush that we wanted to shape and build up to a tree. I called Javier late one afternoon, he stopped by at the end of the day and talked about how he could shape and thin out the mess. He was by the first thing the next morning to start in. Javier was available in short notice and he and his crew arrived on time and ready to tackle the job.
