Terrible! We ordered flowers for a funeral service in Texas which they provided. They didn't get delivered! 2 days later they call to apologize and say they gonna send some flowers to the daughter of the deceased. Then my husband informs me later they called to say the arrangement was gonna cost more. Are you kidding me. You wanna charge me more money for something that didn't even get delivered to the service. The arrangement i ordered looked nothing like what got delivered. I would never trust Villere's with anything again and so very unhappy they thought it was ok to charge me more money for their mistake. Unacceptable read more

I received what was supposed to be a $65 "premium" size bouquet for my anniversary, and what I received was nowhere near the picture online. When my boyfriend saw them, he was upset, so I went into the Metairie store and asked if there was an error with the order. After being told that what I had was considered a premium size bouquet, I showed a picture of what it looked like online, and it didn't look anything like it. The employee was very nice, and did spruce up the flowers somewhat, but still, not what he thought he paid for. He has probably spent a couple thousand dollars there in the last few years, and I have received flowers from them before with no issues. I'm not sure what happened in this case, but I recommended he use another florist for any future orders. read more

I have used Villere's for years. Never had a problem until today when the delivery person called and said the meter maids are out and he cannot park and leave his van. He then asked if I can call my wife to send her down to get her congratulatory flowers, chocolates and balloons for her new job. This is not good customer service and will not use them again. With technology today, I feel that businesses that take online orders should reciprocate by sending a picture of the floral arrangement and gifts in the receipt to the client. Quality service and value could then be better evaluated. I placed an online order and requested the first date available on their floral calendar to be delivered. I thought it was the following day, but I was mistaken. It was two days later. When I called to check on the order, they pushed it ahead one day for delivery. The delivery person forgot the balloon, and the chocolates which had to be delivered the next day. I feel like the floors did everything they could being that the mistake was discovered around 5:30pm. The florist delivered the balloons and chocolates the next day so my friend had subsequently received two deliveries. I personally feel like the impact of flowers, balloons and chocolates, NOT arriving together, somewhat, took away from the gift itself. The oversight provided my friend with two days of deliveries of gifts, which might be considered fun. I do not have a confirmation from my friend on the size of the balloon or the size of the package of the chocolate. I never received a picture of either so it's hard for me to include this in the Yelp. I'm giving four stars but I think it should be 3 1/2. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that the balloon was large, and the chocolates that were delivered were fancy chocolates 12 to 16 ounces of deliciousness. As an eCommerce merchant myself I only write negative reviews when all other solutions have been exhausted. I ordered wedding anniversary flowers before noon last Friday through a gentleman by the name of Raymond, who assured me they will be delivered by 5pm. I called him a couple of hours later to ask if it was possible to have them delivered earlier. He said he was unable to do so but assured me again that they will arrive by 5pm. To my disappointment they didn't arrive. I made several calls and left messages from 5 to 6pm. None of them was returned. Some flowers were half-decayed with slimy steams, even the water smelled. The arrangement had a lot of foliage so it camouflaged the not so fresh flowers and created a better appearance. Every time I order flowers from Villerie's, they make it easy and accommodating. I called on Sunday (yes, they're open) to ask a question about delivery, which they warmly answered. Less than 24 hours after placing an online order (on a Sunday), the beautiful arrangement was delivered Monday morning on the north shore. Each time, the recipient of the flowers was taken aback at the quality/beauty of the arrangement. Friday 2/3/2023, i picked up the flowers i ordered from this Villere florist for a bridal shower. They were mostly roses . I spent over $800.00 on these flowers. First they gave me an incomplete order, so I went back in and they found the rest of the order and gave me those flowers. That night I was putting the vases together and as I unfolded the roses almost all the outer petals i had to remove because they were getting brown. At least 4 or 5 were already brown in the middle and i had to throw those away. Two roses fell off the stem. It was my first large order with them and will be my last. The flowers were second rate , maybe 3rd rate. I'm going back to Federico's florist. Sooo not happy! read more

I'm officially done with Villere's Florists. They messed up my order twice for Homecoming and again now for prom. I have showed them photos of what I wanted each time yet I'm locked in to the creative limitations of their floral designers. I offered a photo when placing my order but the person assisting me declined. She was very rude when I came to pick up and said that I would need them to redo it. It didn't have the flowers I picked up or the design. The second person I spoke with got her feelings hurt when I showed her the picture of what I'd asked for. I'm all for do-overs and second and even third chances. But they kept telling me they "can't do it the way you want because that's not how they do it." Finally someone offered to look at my photo and accommodate my original request. My total time in their shop was 30 minutes the first visit and hour and 40 the next. The last two ladies I spoke with were very accommodating and nice. As I'm waiting for the redo, I'm still getting dirty looks from player #1. I had to order flowers for my daughters birthday. She's a freshman in college, so this was her first birthday away from home. I missed her dreadfully. So dreadfully that I wanted to do something special. So I called Villere's and Mark Villere answered! I was so impressed - he talked with me about options for special things to send, commiserated with me about missing my sweet girl and then threw in a box of delicious chocolates free!! The proof is always on how the delivered product turned out - I bought upgraded flowers and they were fine -but everything got to her safely and she loved the balloons and candy and flowers. I loved that the owner of the shop took such time with me to help find the perfect additions. The flowers lasted almost two weeks!! So happy and just love this friendly family business. read more

In the past 3 months, I've ordered flowers 4 times with Villere's. I had great experiences the first 3 times which is why I chose to order with them a 4th time. Last week I ordered a bouquet to be delivered. The bouquet that I received did not look like the picture they had online. They added lilies for some reason and the arrangement was sloppy. In addition to that, the bouquet was delivered around 2:45pm on Thursday and and by the next morning the flowers had already begun to die. I emailed customer service last Friday and I wrote on their Facebook but they never responded to me. Won't be ordering from them again. UPDATE: Shortly after I wrote this review, Raymond from Villere's gave me a call. He explained to me that Bryan, who I had emailed, had been out of town and unavailable to respond to my email.
