After a thorough search of window companies in the area, I decided to hire Window Depot of Southern Connecticut. Not only do they offer competitive prices and have excellent customer reviews, but they are locally owned by Steve O'Keefe. I also appreciated their old-fashioned customer service over the phone. Before I hired the company, Steve, along with manager Manuel Amarillo, were very generous with their time and provided me with a variety of products and quotes. In fact, the "leading brand" window company that I had previously conducted business with now "requires" two homeowners for a window quote. Really? What a demeaning tactic. Anyway, I made the right decision by hiring Window Depot. From start to finish, Manny communicated with me every step of the way and showed up at the exact time promised and handled the job efficiently with a smile on his face. The team also includes Louis, Jeffrey and Pedro. EVERYONE on the team is friendly, professional, honest and accommodating in every way. Window Depot's windows are USA-made, energy-efficient and come in a variety of timeless styles and designs. Interestingly, after a relatively long wait, the factory delivered a defective window, but it was replaced almost immediately by the factory. They really are a five-star company. (I removed a half of a star because we had a garbage pickup issue that was finally resolved!) Not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but the only company to provide an in-home demo of the actual windows we were purchasing. With such a big home improvement project, you want to feel confident that you made the right choice. Shortly after signing the paperwork, they sent someone out to measure. Then we waited quite a while for the job to be scheduled. Unfortunately, installation occurred during a weeklong heat wave. Yet the guys rarely complained, and spent four full days installing our windows. If I have any complaints, it's about their after sale customer service. The day our installation wrapped up, I noticed a slash in one of the screens, and was assured they'd order a replacement and have it sent to us. Three months later we still had no screen, so my husband and I started calling. Every call was treated as a brand new sales call and no one seemed to know anything about our replacement screen. Finally, someone came out and made us a new screen onsite. However, he re-screened it too tightly, and the frame warped. More phone calls and more confusion on their part made us feel like we were in the twilight zone. Ultimately, we took the frame to their office and they fixed it there, which was an additional inconvenience. Other than these few snafus, we're happy with the work.

My parents didn't use it much - we noticed that the awning was pulling away from the house and called Jeff to look at - he gave me an estimate and I shared out concerns about not hitting the studs when it was installed but he insisted that we did something wrong. The price was over $700 to take down put up a header and put it back up. Well my husband ended up doing the work and when he took it down he did notice that the original installers only hit one stud which was in no way good enough to carry the load and finally started to let go. I called Jeff to tell him what we found and he just went off on my swearing at me using the F word and calling me a liar and telling me to shut the F up I was shocked how he was talking to me. I also told him I called the manufacturer of the awning and that they didn't have any good to say about his company and again he went off yelling at me and swear at me. I was telling the truth, all I wanted Jeff to do was the right thing and give my parents a reimbursement seeing that my husband had to take down the awning but a header board (cost $70) and then put it back up even if he would've just cover the board at least that was something but his reaction to swear and talk to me the way he did was not acceptable. I did not yell or swear at him the entire call. Jeff did call me back after he called the manufacturer and realized what I said to him was the truth so I will give him a little credit for that but the damage had already been done. If you choice to use this company just beware of their workmanship. The way it is installed now that thing is not going anywhere which it should've been this way to begin with. BEWARE of this company.

After replacing the roof, K M & M left debris from their work in my attic and black residue covered the items stored in the attic. Attempts to have K M & M remove the debris and clean the residue were unsuccessful. The only way to get a response or answer from Kyle was to call using a friend's phone, and Kyle reluctantly agreed to come clean the mess within 3 weeks - 3 weeks came and went and I did not hear anything from Kyle.
